  1. Care to elaborate? Only thing I'm aware of is they had biblical scripture codes on their products and they told the government to pound sand when they told them they had to remove them from military gear. Trijicon didn't take any government grants to develop their optics or other products, they did the R&D on their own dime, the government just thought it was a good product so they bought it for the military. Government had no right to make them remove it so they didn't. Their response was if you don't like our product, don't buy it.
  2. My opinion is is would want a 3.5 moa on a pistol and a 6.5moa on a shotgun to see better and faster yet just a touch less precise than the 3.5moa. I can't see any instance I would want the 1 moa version.
  3. I think I would want a 6.5MOA on a shotgun. This is the best mount I have found. https://scalarworks.com/optic-mounts/bor-rmr/
  4. Dave, I don't remember the model but it was a S&W knife I bought at Tractor Supply a few years ago. IIRC, it was around $45-50. At the time It was about the most I wanted to spend on a knife, it looked cool, and I thought being S&W it would be a good quality knife. I was wrong. Within a month of carrying it and honestly not using it much, the blade had so much side to side play it was unusable to cut much of anything with, it had loosened up that much. I hope you have better luck with yours, maybe you got a better model that mine.
  5. Amen! DA/SA isn't that bad, and if you can shoot that trigger system, you shouldn't have any problem shooting anything. Not saying I like Beretta, I'm an HK guy myself, but DA/SA is a pretty good system IMO. All things considered, I think DA/SA with the option to go cocked and locked (like some HKs) is the best option available. With the HK LEM in a very close second.
  6. Regardless of any study, anyone in the gun industry can tell you what the top calibers are, not in any order Pistol is 9mm, .40SW, .45acp, .380acp, .357mag, .38spl Shotgun is 12 ga and 20ga Rifle is 5.56/.223, 7.62x39, .308win Rimfire is .22lr Debating what order those come in is the only discussion to be had.
  7. Interesting...
  8. Look at Zero Tolerance (as previously mentioned), Benchmade, Spyderco, and ProTech if you want an auto.
  9. A lot do. You just can't hardly trust people anymore. So much bad in the news that a lot don't want to trust strangers anymore. I grew up in the early 90s and my parents wouldn't let us trick or treat where we lived in town. They took us out to where my dad grew up in the country and everybody knew everybody and if they weren't family they were church family. That and kids just don't want to go outside anymore.
  10. Exactly! My grandfather was a farmer and naturally my father did when he was younger, but he decided to concentrate more on the house wiring and plumbing business. That's what I grew up doing but there was still enough farm work to be done on the evenings and weekends. Farmers work sun up til sun down. Clock has nothing to do with it. I have heard that changing it lately is due to trying to maximize sunlight in the day to help make people exercise and be more active to combat obesity.
  11. I have ordered as well. Positive experience, nice prices as well.
  12. I resisted the curiosity to look it up and I'm glad I have due to the comments by those who have. Especially the comment about passing the porn filter. I can't even imagine what it is, and don't want to.
  13. Read up about the frame flex on those when temps get high (Texas summer). The video I saw, you could nearly squeeze the mag well sides to touch each other and that's a wide mag opening.
  14. I'm no expert in the NFA world, but I don't think barrel length is going to matter. I think it's how short will it ever be is what goes on the form. What about the guys with SBR lowers that swap out their 10.5" shorty upper that they put on the form for say 14.5" carbine or maybe an 18" DMR? Maybe someone can correct me but I believe that is the case?
  15. Looks to be a Colt Junior.
  16. Seems to me that I remember the civilian Hummer is a GM product... :P The Raptor deserves a V8 and no less. I have been looking at '14 Raptors here lately. But if Chevy ever makes an equivalent with their 6.2l it's game over.
  17. I'm a GM guy, through and through. But that SVT (SVT is no more, now Ford Performance) Bronco is very nice. Much better looking than the K5 concept. But I'm not buying anything with an Ecoboost and if they put it in the Raptor, they would put it in the Bronco. Neither the new Bronco or the K5 have removable tops, I think that is part of those vehicles and they aren't the same without them.
  18. There are rumors of a Raptor 2 door Bronco as well as a new K5 Blazer.
  19. Everyone I have seen mounts via choke threads. If it's silver soldered I would suspect it legally changes the barrel length, but being an AOW, I'm not sure why it matters?
  20. Kind of a thread hi jack but not really. What is everyone's thoughts on the legality of it? Carrying a firearm modified to shoot a caliber it wasn't designed to? We have all heard don't carry one with a modified trigger or reloaded ammunition, how about a conversion barrel? Normally I would err on the side of caution and just buy the factory version, but I am specifically interested in a HK P30L in .357sig.
  21. Dolomite mentioned something awhile back about the Russians developing something along those lines. Don't get too excited about it though, the ATF would restrict it to the point of not being viable.
  22. It'll have to be pretty awesome to live up to that commercial. "Found by mistake"? Has to be some kind of metal I'm sure. Or maybe case less ammunition?
  23. F being the balloon guy.
  24. I noticed at the hospital the other day it said no weapons. But I was too lazy to put my knife back in the truck, no metal detectors or anything.
