  1. Ive been told that many dont lock their doors there. And its because if you live there its because you dont have anything worth stealing anyways. No offense to anyone who does live there, just what ive been told by a Nashville native when i asked about the area.
  2. Its also known as hispantioch. Lots of indians around too. Not an ideal place.
  3. Ill shoot anything and they all have their merits but if i dont have a perceived need for the advantages of a polymer pistol id rather have a 1911, it just feels right
  4. I would concentrate more on manual and mechanical ways to do things but thats just me
  5. I use the mobile theme for the site and have no issues whatsoever
  6. Both the 700 and the 870 arent as good as they used to be unless you get one from RemingtonLE
  7. Yes, but I saw the exact scenario he described on CSI: Las Vegas.
  8. Dont believe everything you see on CSI. Majority of the cool stuff on there might be available to CIA or the like but not to city cops doing forensics.
  9. Im not an AK guy. How much was this stuff a week ago
  10. Dont believe anything you read on the internet until tomorrow
  11. Gold is nearly useless for post-SHTF purposes. Its too valuable. Last i checked gold was around $1600 an ounce, what are you gonna buy with that? Even the 1/10th oz. gold eagles are worth $160 still a large denomination. Silver is much better in this aspect. Gold is excellent for pre-SHTF wealth preservation. I personally believe for precious metals, that Silver Eagles and pre-65 90% silver quarters and dimes are best for purchasing things post-SHTF. While precious metals are good to invest in, i believe even more valuable at least immediately after an event would be trade goods. Alcohol, tobacco, chocolate, toilet paper, canned food, bottles water, flashlights, batteries, common types of ammo, pocket knives, common durable clothes, etc. will be in high demand. I believe it would be easier to trade something immediately useful than some silver. And no one really knows how it would really play as we as a country havent experienced anything like this yet
  12. WTH! I thought he got banned from the internet?!
  13. Hot damn! If thats true, I will own one. I kind of have a thing for odd guns.
  14. When i read the title, i said, since when does amazon sell ammo?!
  15. Yep, and the ONLY firearm chambered for that round as far as I know. HK had a pistol in development but scrapped the idea. I always wondered why midway and a few other places sold ammo but civilians cant buy guns that shoot it.
  16. Thanks, good to know.
  17. Is duffelblog a spinoff of the Onion?
  18. I am aware of no firearm period available to civilians chambered in that cartridge. Might be possible to have a Contender custom chambered for it but even thats a stretch.
  19. Only thing is their custom 1911 and that glock conversion. They have been out a while but never caught on. Guncrafter is the only way to get ammo. Velocity is low. I like bigger calibers but dont see a use for this. It wont work in a standard 1911 frame and is so fat that double stacks like glocks are reduced to single stack low capacity.
  20. Main difference is the S&W is direct impingement, whereas the Ruger is gas piston
  21. Does anybody manufacture this stuff domestically? I know there are manufacturers of 7.62x39 but what about 5.45?
  22. I had a 99 4.3 also and a 01 4.8. Great trucks, but the 6.0 HD holds its own for most things. The duramax isnt bad but the cummins is better imo
  23. Im a chevy guy so i say chevy gas burner unless you are hauling or towing a bunch then dodge cummins 5.9l the 6.7l cummins has its own problems
  24. They are legal to own just not to carry
  25. Good to know, the extent of my knowledge with AK+based stuff is what caliber they shoot, and sometimes o get that wrong
