  1. The main benefit is avoiding the extra scrutiny of local LE... prevents them from impeding the process. It also allows anyone named in the trust to possess the weapon, not just you.
  2. Since the wealthy bear the lion's share of the tax burden, both proportionately and in-total, it stands to reason that leveling the playing-field in that regard would be desirable to them.
  3. Check here: http://www.shotgunworld.com/identify.html
  4. I don't need or want anyone else telling me what name to call my God... The best policy would be for everyone to mind their own business, and if slavery, domination, murder or genocide is a requirement of any particular religion, that religion should be forced to extinction, as unnacceptable to human morality. Individuals who choose their own agenda through contortion of certain beliefs should be held independently accountable for their actions.
  5. H&R Block will throw a fit, for one...along with every other tax-prep accounting firm or independant in the nation. I look at it as trimming the fat off of our bloated financial 'tribute' to the Federal Government and their whores.
  6. Ever seen a factory pink witness? Still a few floating around...
  7. I'll be sealed off from the outside world that evening... can't make it.
  8. It is impossible to legislate morality or common-sense... And when they try, the disparity between those who have those qualities/values and those who don't only gets worse, not better.
  9. After the most recent collective shoot I participated in, the seed of desire has been planted for a suppressor on my AK74... (it was embarrassing to have the loudest guns there, except for when Joe's 11" FAL was running full, un-choked. Frank? My gun currently has the standard commie reverse threads for the muzzle-brake... Would it be better to re-thread the muzzle to 1/2"x28, and install a .22 suppressor, or, should I look into finding/making an adapter? I'm not worried about losing the compatibility with my current muzzle-brake, since there are plenty of 1/2"x28 threaded AK74 brakes on the after-market. I'm thinking that if I do the former, I will have the ability to use the same suppressor on a .22 rimfire or AR later on. I will be pursuing this very seriously by this winter.
  10. Took it out to Terry Walden's range yesterday afternoon, with about 80rd, and spent about 2hrs getting used to it. It's a very easy rifle to shoot, aside from the sticky bolt, creepy trigger, and antiquated open-sights... The recoil was nowhere near as bad as I was expecting from the carbine, far more manageable than a 12ga with full-house slugs. By the end of the session, after learning its POI at 25 and 100yd, I settled in to firing at a 12"x12" steel plate on the 300yd range... and could easily ring 4 out of 5 shots off-hand, and every single time rested. I had to hold about 12" right 'Kentucky windage', since I don't have a sight-pusher, but it proved to me that it was capable of far greater accuracy than I had been lead to believe. (At worst) 3-4moa (WAG) ain't nothing to brag about, but it'll make a decent 100yd plinker on standard rifle targets. I didn't try shooting with the bayonet extended (which supposedly increases accuracy), but I will next time out... perhaps this weekend in oak Ridge, if I can make it. But It was fun as hell! And that's what's important... Secondary note: When I first received the gun, and checked the bore, it was very rusty... it cleaned up reasonably with some bore-scrubber, bronze brush, and about a pound of patches... but still had some blisters and pitting. After shooting the first 5rd, I checked the bore again, and it looked as shiny and polished as it must have brand new 55years ago... it looks even better now, after the rest of the shooting, and another good cleaning. This one will go to the range with me every time.
  11. Baby Eagles are CZ-clones, so they inherit their excellent ergonomics... plus they are very robust. Don't shoot large quantities of lead bullets though, they have a polygonal bore, like Glocks.
  12. I'm only selling it because I want something else (H&K P2000 LEM)... and I know that I wouldn't carry it anymore. It's a great CCW.
  13. I could help you with that... Mine's for-sale.
  14. You'd probably have to explain what your purpose for hunting inside the building is...
  15. They couldn't make this s**t up if they tried...
  16. ...but their murder rate has increased from 2.2 per 100,000 to 2.7 per 100,000 in the same period. Inversely proportionate, no?
  17. Yes, a P239 is much closer in dimensions to the Mosquito. If I manage to come to the shoot in Oak Ridge this weekend, I'll let you try out mine.
  18. semi-automatic machine pistol is a conflict of terms... at least they didn't try to call it an 'assault weapon' or something.
  19. Edited: Due to circumstances beyond my control (work), I won't be able to make it Friday I'm very sorry.
  20. Will the guns which are being auctioned off be there on-site, at the school?
  21. Misty is (finally) dropping off her HCP application this afternoon, as soon as that's done, I'll be by...
  22. Unless you buy Wolf: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=153249 Surplus has gotten expensive... One reason I got rid of my ARs. I'll likely get another one when the price comes back down after the war (it will).
  23. Welcome Tim, and Thank You for your efforts!
  24. ...or carried it. There's a noticable difference in concealability due to the slide and grip-width. I would rather conceal a full-size 1911 than even a G26.
