  1. Nothing yet... it'll take a bit for the wheels of tyranny to get rolling after the election. I need to stock up on some more ammo though, as always.
  2. I'm gonna be in a tent in the mountains on the 16th
  3. Welcome to TGO. I dig the sig-line... that's great.
  4. Awww man... why must you make me hate you? That's a sweet piece, right there!
  5. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5081
  6. People who are not logged in cannot view your profile. All they can see on the calendar is that there is a birthday on that day. They cannot view the events on the calendar, either.
  7. That's really not too far of a drive for me... I am pretty sure that I can make it that day, I certainly intend to try.
  8. I had this same statement typed out twice... and I couldn't bring myself to hit 'submit'...
  9. www.ammunitiontogo.com has the S&B for $169
  10. It is true that On-Target doesn't allow rifles or shotguns on Sundays... This is a downside. However, because of the majority response for the Sunday dates in the previous thread, and the holidays in the middle of the month, this was the best option. I hope that some folks who don't normally make it to the Saturday meets will be able to come. I may or may not be able to stay and shoot for very long, but I will certainly be at dinner.
  11. I've seen the trailer before, as a preview in another movie recently... It looks entertaining, as long as you can detach yourself from reality (some of the best movies aren't realistic). But, still... this technique sounds really stupid. I'm sure I'll wait for this to come out on DVD before I watch it. Something like this might work with a paintball gun, I suppose... if you could modify the barrel enough to give the paintball some backspin not perpendicular to the bore axis. But WHY? Oh well.
  12. Curving the bullet...?
  13. Both of these are still in committee. Here is an existing thread: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4286
  14. Enjoy it... the most important part of being young is to create good memories for later on. As the years go by, I hope every one is accompanied by fond memories for you. Happy Birthday!
  15. A light or laser aiming module, perhaps?
  16. There are good examples and bad examples... Communist Russia was a bad one. Israel, Austria, and Switzerland are very good ones.
  17. No solution is absolute. But this policy works very well in many countries, and would conceivably bring many more benefits than disadvantages, especially in terms of addressing the worst social influences many youth face.
  18. I don't expect the student's to leave their gun in the classroom when they go to other areas
  19. Mandatory military service would fix that problem...
  20. Not getting any at all, or some are missing? Tungsten had to rebuild the database recently due to a glitch... I suppose that may have caused some items to not work, that, or if just some of your notifications aren't working, it could be because the threads were moved into new forum catagories, when I created them.
  21. The question would have been better if asked: "Should 18 year olds be prohibited from carrying a weapon?" If the people who answer the polls aren't simply mindless liberal robots, they'll have to rationalize whether age alone is the determining factor of a person's maturity... Sure, it's a rough indicator... but it's akin to asking whether "males" should be allowed to carry, (being the more aggressive sex)...
  22. I will most likely not shoot much either, since I'll be shooting twice this weekend.
  23. I'm sure that both me and my wife will come as long as the date/time works for us.

Blow-back operation means that the rearward motion of the slide or bolt is not delayed by a locking mechanism (such as the lugs and tilting barrel on most pistols).
  25. I voted there should be a handgun in every classroom.
