  1. I managed to watch the whole video.  It sucked so bad I thought I would fold and run away, but I hung in there.  I am proud of myself, and will be adding this test of human endurance to my resume.
  2. Huh...  Strange.  Back when it was this man's army they just taught us how to kill the other guys and patch up our guys.  Times have changed I guess.
  3. The thing that really got me was when I took our 5 year old to the range to "earn" a bit of money picking up brass for me.  She had a great time and got to shoot my .357 levergun from my knee.  After it was all over my wife told her not to talk about it in school.    This kept going thru my mind:   Teacher:  What did you do this weekend? Girl:  Had fun with daddy. Teacher:  Oh?  What did you do? Girl:  I can't tell you.   Yeah.  That could have been a world of trouble.  We started homeschooling this year, and we now live on a single income.  It makes it hard when you see the way others live, but our baby girl is worth it.
  4. My GP is the one handgun I would never let go of or be without.  Love it, and it brings a whole new definition to the term durability.
  5. Ok, so now off duty LEOs are finding out what it's like to be restricted like a law abiding citizen.....
  6. The best Glock ever is the Glock 7...  The only downside to this amazing weapon is the price, which is quite expensive.  Experts say that they cost more than the Dulles International Airport Police Chief makes in a month.   J/K...  The best Glock ever is the Ruger SR9c.  Made in America, by Americans, working for an American owned company.  /trollololol
  7. They have tried over and over to get rid of the Warthog.  It comes down to the question of do you want to spend a few thousand in 30mm rounds or a half a million dollars in missile to destroy something...  That has stopped them from getting rid of it before, and I think it likely will now.  Even if it does not I am sure we have not seen the last of the Warthog.  She's just to damn good at her job.  She'll be back.
  8. Official firearm of TN?   That's easy...  .30-.30
  9. Good statements.  I order all mine from Falcon.  I have used 147 grain in 9mm, and 158 grain in 357.  They work wonderfully, and show no issues on the occasion i want to load what i call my 357 Supermag.  LOL  Great product.  In fact I just placed an order yesterday for 125 grain 9mm.
  10. Common core is a primary reason we have chosen to home school our youngest.
  11. First I have ever heard of this thing called Memphis pride.  I did not know anyone was proud of Memphis for anything.  Then again I guess I will be when the new Bass Pro opens.
  12. Hmmm...  I checked the 2A again and saw nothing about people that cannot see.  Bad idea or good idea does not matter.  They are Americans and have rights.
  13. My Rossi shoots reloads fine, although I only use SWCs.  I also added the Gunslinger kit, and it's smooth as can be.
  14. My wife and I have had Geico for years.  They really have earned our loyalty, which is a strange thing to say about an insurance company.    A few years ago my wife hit a deer in the middle of a Sunday night in Kentucky.  She was in the middle of nowhere, alone, and the car had pieces hanging off of it like the front bumper cover, wheel well liner, rear view mirror, and a dent that shoved the fender too close to the tire.  The cop that came basically took down the report and left, being of no help at all.  Geico gave her permission to further damage the car by removing the hanging bits and beating the fender away from the tire with a hammer so she could get going again.  She drove to a truck stop and duck taped more hanging bits to the car body.  When she got home they fixed all the damage with no issues at all.
  15.   Just went to the movies and saw this yesterday.  It was creepy.  I much prefer the "Walking Dead" style slow zombies.
  16. Welcome to the area.  I live a few miles from you.  There is a small group (2-4) of us that regularly shoot at the FOP range there in Jackson.  It's $35 a year, so very economical, and outdoors.  Pm me if you wanna come along and I will let you know when we are going again.  Prolly next Sunday afternoon.
  17. I think the first mistake is the fact that she was driving a car at all.  Ok, if this was her first episode I can buy that, but if it was not she was taking a chance with every person around her.  If this was not her first attack she should not have been driving, and should never drive again now.  I am not saying the cops were right, just that she might have been wrong too.
  18. The last person I saw going OC here had one of those stupid gun show badges on his holster.  It really put a damper on my interest.  What a chode.
  19. I would call it a Tennessee Chicken Snake   Chickenus Snakus:  Any snake residing in the state of Tennessee that is not poisonous, and you are not sure what it is.
  20. Yeah, it figures they would be utterly worthless...  Still the fact the SKS was all numbers matching and the stock looks practically new made up for it.
  21. They have two numbers on the bottom, 05 and 06.  The 05 seems to mean Spreewerke, Lübben, East Germany as the maker.  The 06 IDK...
  22. Ok, so I took a Norinco SKS in on a trade, and it came with this weird ammo.  It's all green, packaged in 10 rounds, and it is round nose.  There is a black stripe acrss the back of the package, but nothing written on it in any language.  Anyone know what this stuff is?  I don't want to shoot it off at the range if it of value.
  23. I generally keep to two loads.  .38 special is standard primer, 4 grains of Unique, and a 158 grain LSWC from Falcon bullets.  When I want fun in .357 I load 7.8 grains of Unique, magnum primer, and the same 158 grain LSWC from Falcon.
