I grew up with a mailbox on the front of the house next to the front door. Our mailman walked his route and was great people. He was a Vietnam Vet and I can't count how many times we visited for a few minutes on the porch trading stories. He was at our door like clockwork everyday at 2pm. Never a piece of mail missing in all the time he delivered for us. He finally retired for the "good life" and was dead less than two years later.

TGO is essentially my FB. Although, I'm not sure how we grow the firearms pro community without leveraging social media (FB, Twitter, Instagram, etc...) in some way. The future of our 2nd Amendment rights is in the hands of the younger generation. If there isn't some way of bringing in new firearm enthusiasts via shooting sports, self defense, hunting, or hobby shooting at the range the only exposure some young folks get is the crime and thug shooting exposure via the news. I suppose gun sales numbers indicate the community is pretty damn strong and growing.

Welcome to The South. Become one of us but don't try to change us.

Foreign policy is a multi-touch point process. This administration is behind the 8-ball because of previous mis-steps that currently put the U.S. in a position of weakness. Given the history here, the current admin doesn't have a lot to stand upon. China supports the Russian action. China is already pursuing their own annexation albeit in a much more diplomatic fashion. There is trouble on the horizon as China and Russia play against us. And the fact that Putin is still playing Cold War politics is very concerning...especially given the Afghanistan connections.

TN Bill to remove restrictions on knife possession and carry

Looks like even Senators get a snow day now and then. I guess they can't vote from home? Hard to believe in the modern world of communication. Let's hope our call and correspondence efforts get this through the House. It will need Governor's signature after that right? Any anticipated problems at the final signature level? -
NEW LETTERS FROM STATE OF CT. TO GUN OWNERS.

Hard to get over just how insane this is. I wonder if there is any organized (and diplomatic) resistance to this effort. -
Putin is on the move. In addition to more coastal access to the Black Sea he will now border Poland, Moldova, Slovakia, and Hungary. All who have some Russian speaking populations. Mark my words, these nations will be next.

A conspiracy of this magnitude would be nearly impossible to pull off. I believe in healthy skepticism but not when it goes so far as to ignore facts that disprove the hoax theory. Bottom line is this was a very tragic mass killing by a mentally unstable Lanza.

Gun Rights, Can we make a difference for Tennessee?
ncldwell replied to DaveTN's topic in General Chat
I believe it's the same in Mississippi. Open carry is legal state wide for those 18 and over. Mississippi State Constitution: Article 3, Section 12 ~ The right of every citizen to keep and bear arms in defense of his home, person, or property, or in the aid of the civil power when thereto legally summoned, shall not be called in question, but the legislature may regulate or forbid carrying concealed weapons. -
