That doesn’t look right, especially if is causing a drag on the hammer. I only have one with the lock but have never locked it. For one I don’t have they key and another I wouldn’t even if I did. You might have to send it back or just remove the thing.

How would such an amnesty work and/or be worded? “You have 90 days to build whatever illegal weapon you like, then we will forgive you and allow it to become legal”? Amnesty is forgiveness, not permission. How many of grandaddy’s MP-40’s from the war are still floating around? Edit: On further consideration, and the fact that a bunch of stuff is about to be banned, I can see the point.

I recommend you keep the original grips. The gun will be worth more with them that those CT things in the future (and now).

S&W grips do not screw into the frame, only to each other. There is a pin at the butt that corresponds to holes on the bottom of the grips but the location of that pin has never changed. Long story short, what you mentioned should fit on any K frame S&W ever made if that’s what they’re made for. The only thing to consider is whether that is a round or square butt pistol, then there might be some incompatibility. Keep the old grips (stocks in S&W speak) and don’t lose them. If they are original one will have the serial number stamped on the back and are worth a small fortune depending on condition. Either way, they belong with the gun.

Everywhere is crowded now but you have as much a right to see it all as they do. PITA sometimes, but most folks are at least mostly considerate in museums but I haven’t been there since the rise of cell phones. Oh, and if you go, expect a massive culture shock.

A solid week might put a dent on the museums.

My last visit there was to a gentleman’s club in a really nice part of DC...as I recall. Buddy of mine got married in Fairfax or whatever all that mess in VA is and an old school taxi was hailed.

Not sure what you just said, but go! It’s a PITA driving up there but the museums and history are well worth it...and free.

DC is a fine place to visit...really a must for everyone, but the last time I went there about 15 years ago it was a nightmare.

Shake the cobwebs out of your heads on ancient Glocks and help me out here. Did something change in the trigger between Gen 2 and 3 Glocks? I have a G2 23 bought brand new in 1992 that I shoot far better than a G3 19 bought brand new maybe 6 or 7 years ago. Way more rounds have been put through the G3 19. The G2 23’s trigger is simply superior and I shoot it much better.

I was thinking that myself. Hopefully they don’t try some washed up tv actor or comedian. Professional game show hosts are a rare breed these days. On a positive note there are enough new episodes filmed that we can watch it until Christmas.
