I was at Kroger in Fountain City, this afternoon around 7. Did not see a sign and most folks were unmasked.

I look at it more as a warning to get ready for what's coming. It's not going to be the end of man, but it might mark in a change in the way we do things here and a marked change in the population distribution, through the planet. We worry about terrorism and wars, but when you stop and think about it, changes in weather and other natural phenomona have had a much more profound affect on life on Earth, than anything else. I agree Erik. But it also might happen while we are still alive.

Interesting article in USA Today that sorta falls in line with the 2004 movie The Day After Tomorrow... Figured most that come here to this forum, have seen that movie. If not, I highly recommend it! Anyway, the gest of the Article is that the Atlantic Ocean current system is becoming unstable enough that it might stop all together, which would have an extreme effect on the weather over North America and Europe. Time to lay in some cold weather gear!!! Study warns of 'irreversible transition' in ocean currents that could rapidly freeze parts of North America (msn.com)

Even if she wasn't right, you'd still lose. At least that's how it works at my house.

I have a couple of Magpul Glock 17 mags that look like that color. Sunlight might be shifting the shade of the color a bit, too. -

I'm seeing what looks like an extended mag. You can see the bottom of the mag, clearly sort of jutting out of his left arm. -
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Where did you end up buying?
-
Thanks! That will give me a good excuse to go there!

I'll look for those. Not a lot out there at the moment. Luckily, I was able to pick up some .380 here and there. Were you able to find extra mags for it?
-
There seems to be a size limit here and my pics almost always end up being too small. I hate posting pics here. That's why I don't post many.

I traded a Gen 2 LCP on the LCP-Max. Size wise. it was just about the same size. Just a couple of tenths of an inch thicker in the grip area, and ,4 inch taller. And the same weight as a LCPII, 10.6 oz. Someone said that loaded, with 11 rounds of 95gr .380, it came in at 12.1 oz. That's two oz lighter than my unloaded S&W 442 with 6 more rounds of capacity. With my LCP, I carried two extra mags for a total of 19 rounds. This is two mags for a total of 21 rounds. I entend to pick up at least one of not two extra mags. And if I can find them, it will be two 12 rounders. That will bring capacity to 35 rounds, if my math is right. I will take it. I'd still love to find a nice P32 again or any .32ACP pistol. Doesn't have to be a pocket gun. A little Beretta 81 would be nice or evan a CZ70.

I traded my LCP in this afternoon for a new LCP-Max. Crossroads Firearms has them for $369.

My company just got word that TVA has ordered all their employees and visitors to wear masks indoors at all times, regardless of whether you have had the vaccination or not.

Tisas U.S. Army 1911a1 with 2 extra mags, a Civiv Vexer and a Victorinox Soldier.

Get vaccinated.

Of the three I see in this pic, the GSR is by far the prettiest thing I see. Followed by the hog and not so Handsome Rob!!! Just kidding, man! Thanks for the pic! That's a nice one!

Just saw this, on WBIR's Website. A Knox County Deputy is using a RMR on his pistol. https://www.wbir.com/article/news/crime/knoxville-i-40-shootout-dash-and-body-camera-video-investigation/51-c03f6002-fec1-4080-ab66-9c52d5bfcde4 This is an excellent report. And I am very impressed with the THP, Knox County Sherriff's Department and Knoxville City Police. After the shootout, they were working hard to save the life of a man that had just participated in a gun battle with them. They were compassionate and very much interested in saving his life. Not so sure I could have been in that frame of mind.

My wife and I were in Mountain City last Saturday for a craft show and really enjoyed it. And I am quite familiar with all the other places you mentioned. My take on the Mountain City area is that peole there friendly, but they seemed to have a larged influx of people from other states moving in, but all communities in the Tennessee Valley and the Appalachian Mountains are experiencing this. I can't really speak to the Cumberland plateau area, but I have no doubt that it's experiencing the same thing. While in Mountain City, I talked to one couple that just retired and moved up here from Texas. They bought their house via the internet and didn't see it until they actually moved in. But they love it and he has already cut a couple of ricks of firewood for the coming winter. I also met another Texan and another couple from California that had moved up there, as well as a couple that had moved back from Wilkes County, NC, to take care of her ailing father. All had moved this year. I suspect that prices there are being driven up, by new people that are moving into the area. I think the same thing is going on in the Johnson City, Irwin Area and the Sweetwater area. The Knoxville, restate market is RED HOT right now. I mean SURFACE OF THE SUN HOT! Houses here are sold within a day or two of going on the market, regardless of the price. Went to an estate sale yesterday. The house was well over 3,000 sq ft and north of $600K and they inked the deal four days after going on the market. I have a friend that has lost out on 6 houses in the last three weeks, because people are paying way over asking price. Apartments are extremely hard to get here too. As are new manufactured homes. I guess the gist of this is that regardless of where you go, it's not going to be cheap. Make sure you squeeze every last dime out of your home in Florida. You might very well need it here. Even for a Barbie Doll Playhouse!!!

I hate that anyone has to go through this.

Duh! So you did!

Anyone doing anything for the inflation that is coming?
Moped replied to 45guy's topic in Survival and Preparedness
Congratulations! I'd love to right now. But I don't have enough money yet. I'm out of debt in two and a half years and then I'm planning to max out my 401K. -
I'm assuming that's Blazer steel case at Academy. I need to pick some up and see how it shoots out of my pistols. The 115 gr at Crossroads Firearms was Blazer steel case, but the 124 gr was Red Army brass. I have no idea if it's reloadable or not though.
