  1. I think you’ll be very happy with the TX!
  2. Jamie, Crossroads Firearms in Knoxville didn't have the .32 H&R version, but they did have the 642UC. I handled it last week and was super impressed!!! I am also looking for the 432 or 632UC. If I run across one, I will let you know, if I don't decide to buy it.
  3. That's also a hell of a deal!!! Dang it! I got two over in layaway at Crossroads right now. I just don't need a third one in layaway right now!!! Of course, the Winchester 94, could come out of layaway in the next couple of weeks, so I would only have two in...
  4. I'm thinking I might go get one and put it in layaway. I don't have a .40 short and Wimpy.
  5. Harvey's in Knoxville is listing Gen 4 Glock 22 LE Turn-ins for $269.99. Not sure that deal can be beat. These apparently have the Citrus County Sherriff's Dept. Scroll on the right side of the slide. Comes with 1-15rd mag. SALE!!! $40 Lays It Away - LEO Turn In Glock 22 Gen 4 .40S&W - harveysauctions.com
  6. Bumping for a great little gem of a pistol! These make great pocket pistols and have great triggers.
  7. Most days, I carry a LCP Max in my backpack. I belt carry a Ruger Max 9 with a RDS or a S&W 442, the rest of the time.

    Birthday Gift

    Happy Birthday!
  9. These are great little pistols! I carried one for several years, until I bought my Max9. My son now has it. GLWS!
  10. As long as the Government stays out our business, I think at least one of mine will want my small collection of shooters. @hipower, I am available for adoption, though I’m probably near your age.
  11. It wasn't enough!!! Jury Orders Ex-NRA Chief Wayne LaPierre to Pay More Than $4 Million Back to Gun-Rights Group (msn.com)
  12. The U.S. military say 4 MOA is acceptable accuracy.
  13. SDS is headquartered in West Knoxville.
  14. The recall is for specific models and skews. You can see it here. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2024/02/01/safety-recall-tisas-1911-pistols/ Honestly, he’s probably right. But this puts money in CMP’s pockets. I’d bet more money, they probably need that money. No one here really believes the current administration in the White House and the Defense Department is a friend of the CMP. My guess is they’d love to see the CMP go away.
  15. Interesting! Of course SDS is headquartered in Knoxville. I own one their U.S. Army 1911a1s. I found it to be every bit as reliable as the ones I shot in the Army and more accurate.
  16. I wear bib overalls a lot on the weekends. I carry Ruger Max 9 with a CT1550 in a Sticky Holster OR-5 and that combo works great!!! Optics Ready 1 (OR-1) (stickyholsters.com)
  17. Somewhere in the $300 to $400 range I imagine. Less, if you go to trade in at a LGS, though. Edited: Found one on Guns America that was rated at 98% that sold for $328. No idea when that was though.
  18. If you find rental, let me know. I’d like to try it. That Taurus 327 TORO looks good too. Just haven’t found one to look at.
  19. Has anyone looked at the Charter Arms Professional in .32 H&R? It's a 7 shot revolver with a 3" barrel length. There's a lot of interested being generated right now, with a Lipsey's exclusive release of the S&W 432/632 in .32 H&R next month. That got me on hunt for an alternative and then I found the Charter Arms Professional at Bud's. Charter Arms Professional IV 32 H&R Magnum Revolver | 73230 | Stainless/Silver, 3" Barrel, 7 Rounds, Wood Grips, 3-Dot Sights - Buds Gun Shop
  20. Got several. A Remington 521T, Winchester 67, Ruger 1022 Backpacker and a Taurus TX22.
  21. I had one for a number of years, until some asshole broke into my house and stole it, along with a Browning HP. It outshot every factory 1911 I put it up against. Notice I said factory, not custom. The only thing I did was change the grips out and add a two piece, full length guide rod. I still have the box, in the hopes that one day someone will pawn it or trade it in and it'll show up in a search and I will get it back. Back to the outshooting part, I put it up against a friend's SA with Novak sights. We each took turns shooting both pistols and the Norinco shot better for both of us. I did this with a Colt Series 70 and a Taurus 1911 with the same results with each of those pistols owners. For the $250 I paid for it, it was outstanding pistol!!! I'd love to have it back!
  22. This is a step in the right direction, but based on the State Government’s track record of late, I think it gets bottled up and disappears. The Governor and the Executive Branch will oppose it vigorously. https://www.wvlt.tv/app/2024/01/24/bill-allow-people-with-certain-permits-carry-guns-businesses-that-prohibit-restrict-firearms/
  23. That’s insane! What is “military grade” ammunition? Technically one could say “military caliber” ammunition would be “military grade”. And if you go back far enough, this would include calibers like .25acp (issued by the German Military pre WWII) and 45LC (issued to U.S. force during the Moro Rebellion in the Philippines). And rifles would be the same. Things like 30-06, 7mm Mauser, .338 Lapua, are all military calibers.
