  1. Wasn't the appointment of Czars also an overreach of constitutional power? Wonder what GS pay grade they were given. 12,13,14 or even 15...I believe all three branches are overstepping but then that's just MO but then again 52% of Americans seem to disagree with this view. Elections have consequences and the remaining ones we have in front of us are very important.
  2.   Every time I go into a LGS I take a gander at the "Bore Snakes". Never used one..Your simple "water bottle shake the piss out of it" just sold me. Next trip I'm getting one!
  3. I picked up an xps2-0 over the weekend at Quantico Tactical. They had the model on sale and the rebate made it even a better deal. Looked at the magnifier which was also on sale through tonight but since I have never shot a rifle with a similar setup I passed on the magnifier. I believe I'll study on the 1x4 scope market with lighted reticle and give the red dot with magnification some more thinking. Seems like a sweet setup though. Most of my shooting is CQB distance but would like something to get me out to 200+ yard mid range target shooting.
  4. Thinking about picking up the EO Tech magnifying unit and wondering if it makes for a good setup or would it be better to go with a multiple power scope. Say a 1x4 or 1x6. Anyone have some experience with the EO Tech w/magnifier setup?
  5. A single stack Glock in 32 ACP the size of a PPKS. Now that would get me excited. Very concealable and the round does better than you would think in defensive use.
  6. They made the Browning limited run lever guns. All very high quality and hold their value well. Wonder if the current Winchester remake of the 1873 is made by Miroku?
  7. G&A has a good selection. The "Short" rifle caught my eye as did the trapper. In the old Winchester's the octagon barrel was standard and the round barrels were an option. Now octagon barrels seem to be more popular. Go figure.
  8. What action are the Uberti's. Model 1873, 1892 etc. Winchester 1892's are excellent in 357. I like the 1892 action because it is butter smooth and locks up tight. The 1873 action must be popular in Cowboy Action Shoots because you see them quite often. Not has strong as the newer Browning actions but should be fine for the 357 mag. Have not shot a Uberti or Cimarron etc but they look excellent. the 357 is awesome through a lever action. A short barrel length would make a fine house gun. Check them out real close and buy once. I was at G&A a few weeks ago and their ticket prices are no tax if cash sale.

    Glock 19C

My two cents worth. Just don't thing a 9mm for personal protection use needs to be compensated. The G19 is one of the top sellers in America in stock form. I have not shot a Gen 4 gun but have read where they are a little softer shooting than the previous generations. Maybe someone with experience could comment on that.
  10. An AK47 will make an excellent compliment to the 223 AR. Good CQB choice especially in brush or around barriers etc. 30 caliber a plus. The Ak74 has been mostly popular due to cheap surplus ammo. And a lot of it has been corrosive ammo.
  11. At the top of the heap is OSOE (American Made). BDS is his X's operation that he started. Not near the quality. Buy once cry once. As CQB Elite said. He sold an OSOE to buy another OSOE. I have an OSOE "Patrol Vest" and it is excellent. I have met with the owner at his shop and he is very serious about making the best gear out there and his gear is very well known in military circles. http://www.originalsoegear.com/patrolvest.html
  12. +1    $100 gets you China made but some of them may last awhile. .
  13. Interesting. Been awhile since I have been there, maybe late summer. Hope they reduced the sticker price.
  14. 2nd on G&A on Summer. They carry some high end stuff. No tax on sticker price if paying with cash/debit etc + $10 fee. One thing they do is charge first and run background second. I guess it's because locality? Be sure and read the big sign on the wall stating policy.
  15. Been to DC once. The only way for Washington to get my money now is to tax me and they are doing a good job of that.
  16. welcome! good to have you on board.
  17. Governments constantly move on the sliding scale somewhere between anarchy and tyranny. Gun laws are another tool in the toolbox of the control and big government crowd and why not make some money along the way. They know better how to use it than we do. The tactical semi-auto is the peoples great equalizer of our time. They must be taken away for a gov't to stay heavily on the tyrannical side of the scale. It will be time to panic when the 2nd falls and that may be as soon as 2014 if the GOP House falls to the dems. If that happens then gun owners will be treated as the tyranicals'. Keep up the fight.
  18. This link may answer some questions. Our politicians run on conservative values but a lot of them turn after they take office. Elections have consequences and the path to socialism is not pretty. Eventually he may just bypass congress altogether as the way of the Roman Senate. Just a figure head. http://heritageactionscorecard.com/
  19. I have two RR-NM. One is better the other. Consistency?
  20. Isn't martial law already going on at the WWII Memorial and various National Parks all over the country?
  21. Geissele first or Rock River NM if your wanting to spend less.
  22. After socialism is fully implemented, ask him how he feels about succeeding from the "Liberal Blue Cities of America".
  23. Sounds strong Pro Gun to me. Wish they would strengthen parking lot bill, repeal knife law.....and reduce gun free zones. Especially while the R's have all three branches.
