    Season 4

Interesting. It would definitely be a good time to bring some new characters in. Would seem that at a minimum one of the groups will need some outside help to fight off the hordes outside the prison.
  2. Seems like pro US constitution laws should be flowing through the TN Republican held House and Senate like water running downhill. And signed by the Republican Governor in light speed. We are missing an opportunity!

    My new Toy!

Wanted a AUG bad but bought a Tavor 18. Like previously stated. "Worth every red cent". Two excellent battle tested bullpups are available to the American public. Get one while you can.
  4. I'm looking to pick up a steel plate target or two and looking at the AR500 steel plates sold by Wideners in Johnson City. Looking for comments from anyone with experience with their steel? Would be used for 223, 308 and pistol rounds. Any comments would be appreciated. Is the half inch plates preferred over the 3/8ths inch plates?
  5. Agree. I might pick one up to try but will wait for gen 2.
  6. ExtremeBeam is an advertiser on The Glenn Beck Show. I am wondering if anyone has experience with the flashlights. I'm pretty much a Surefire person but maybe ExtremeBeams are good lights and worth a try. It appears to be a US company but I can-not find any info on where they are made.
  7. Be aware that putting a scope on an AK comes with a little drama. Not like slapping a sight/scope on an AR etc. I have read that the side scope attachment point sometimes are not properly aligned with the center line of barrel. I understand that the Ultimak gas rail with an Aimpoint micro works pretty good but never used it. I have checked all this stuff out and have decided to keep the AK iron sight setup as originally designed. Good Luck. Let us know what route you go and how it works.
  8. Been waiting....Looking forward to trying them out. If they are not metal reinforced at feed lips and locking tabs don't see them being any better than Circle 10's. The price does beat the current price of Circle 10's though, so????
  9. Might search out for a "pencil" thin Ar barrel. The barrel is a good place to start. Rainier sells Vltor made uppers that do not have forward assist. That saves some weight. Magpul handguards also save some weight verses some of the metal ones. Check out Arms folding sight gas block combo. It's really nice in combo with traditional forearm setup. You will have to loose the UBR but man it is nice. If I was going to settle with some extra weight that is were It would be. Heavy toward the butt end and light on the muzzle end. Good Luck!
  10. Word the bill in such a way as there are "loopholes"? Explain please.
  11. Read somewhere that Alexander votes with the Democrats about 60% of the time. Here's a quote that I copied out of the paper explaining why he voted for the confirmation of Sonia Sotomayor. It stays close by and I periodically read it: "Even though the judge's political and judicial philosophy may be different than mine especially regarding 2nd Amendment rights, I will vote to confirm because she is well qualified by experience, temperament, character and intellect to serve". Won't get my vote....Go Joe Carr!

    Walther PPK

I often conceal carry a PPK-S in 32 ACP. Conceals well even during summer with a long tailed t-shirt. Have read that the 32 ACP does better than one would expect in real world shootings but can't quote the study. Anyway IMO the PPK-S is a fine weapon and if it's with when you need it, it will do it's part.
  13. YHM makes some economical sights but well made and tough. Flip up easily and lock solidly in place. Plenty of others out there, just look around because it mostly comes down to what you like and what works for you. http://yhm.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_3&products_id=12
  14. I have checked out some 1x to 4x optics and others over the Holiday time. I've noticed that some reticles are really small in 1x or 2x and more visible at higher magnifications. Seems like I read somewhere that manufacturers have to select one of the magnifications for a SFP reticle size and most the time it is the higher one? Don't know if FFP or SFP makes a difference on that. Handled a 3x9 Accupoint. Reticle worked good in all magnifications and I think it is SFP. A few SFP reticles on 1 x 4 scopes were very small on 1x and considerably more visible on 4x. The Accupoint is on my list.
  15. I recommend checking any sporting goods store and the lgs's. Doubt if any will have a large selection. On line probably the best bet. I've been hunting for a tactical 1x scope and finding them in any number to compare is tough. Will take some time to handle different versions. I'm trying to buy once cry once. Might try Gander Mountain or maybe Dicks.
  16. I think the sale must go through a FFL to be legal. Other forum readers are probably way more qualified to answer this question. I have always madesure a person is in state citizen and qualified to own a gun before selling. "Bill of Sale" going to IL. Hmmm. Selling a gun to go to IL that I bought after a background check. Hmmm. From what I've read IL is not gun friendly to anybody, just saying.
  17. cch2A...What's your opinion on how the scope does on 1x with both eyes open? 1X with BAC.
  18. Recently picked up a XPS2-0 during Quantico Tactical sale and EOTech rebate. Excellent!
  19. In my quest to pick out a close to mid range scope for a tactical rifle a question has come up. Is being able to use a scope on 1x like a red dot that big of an advantage especially since some 1x versions out there are not true 1x? If I understand it right if you want to have the capability similar to a red dot the scope needs to be a true 1x which limits choices. I'm thinking a 2x may be a good route to go?  I have a non-magnified Leupold Prismatic which I assume is a true 1x and the reticle is etched in the glass. I have no trouble using it but it is a little different to Aimpoints and EOTech etc. Sometimes it takes a split second for your eyes and brain to get in sink. I'm thinking that if the 1x scope is not true 1x then it will not be anything like using a red dot?? Any comments will be appreciated.
  20. I am a "babe in the woods" when it comes to scopes but would like a good quality 1x4 or 1x6 tactical scope with illuminated reticle for use with a tactical rifle. Only have had two magnification scopes in my lifetime. One an entry level Bushnell and the second, a nice 3x25 Valdada.  Looking at the Burris line, ie the XTR, MTAC and SkullTac. Also the Vortex Razor HD Gen 2. The Gen 2 is way more money but is 1x6 which interests me. The Burris SkullTac package seems to be a good bang for the buck but I wonder if the optics are less than their MTAC line. I have one Leupold product, a Prismatic red dot. Glass etched reticle. It is excellent but a little hard on batteries. A Leupold is not out of the running. Any experience shared would be helpful.
  21. LINKS2K...I too agree. Some people say the "Country" part is gone. But I'm not ready to believe that. Sometimes I wonder what else can happen that would put us into panic mode or at least to a heightened state of immediate concern.
  22. Good one! According to the establishment just giving the Dems a blank check on the budget, you need to give all your mags away!   Back on topic, I keep some mags loaded with a round or two less than capacity. Also recommend having a bunch of mags on hand for all your combat guns. Then if a gun ban hits, heaven forbid, your set.
  23.  I'm not an expert on the subject but can certainly make an experienced comment. Two of my standard carry holsters are made by Dale Fricke. The OWB holsters pull tight against the body or waist which I like. They are well made. Has a number of choices for carry style. I also like the "Sticky Holsters" made in Florida. Simple. Read a statement somewhere that you either love a "Sticky" holster or hate them. Might check them out. Good Luck.
  24. Another law that only affects the law abiding. But it feels so good! Fear the Republican elites for they know not conservatism.
