Make sure any small tractor you look at has a live PTO. It is difficult to operate some PTO driven equipment with out live PTO. Especially a bush hog or mower. I own a Caterpillar D3B dozer and it is a money pit. I spent $500 the other day for filters and oil for an engine, transmission change. Steer clutches are $2300. per side. Good tax deduction if you are eligible.

I would check the carb sync, air filter and spark plugs. Also make sure the tires are air properly. Should be getting 36 or better. Has it been sitting a lot. Run some seafoam through it.   Nice bike. Had a buddy that had one. It was a hoss. Enjoy!

I am sure a lot of you have heard about the search for the 2 year old that has been on since last Thursday in West Tn. 3 requirements announced for volunteer searchers. 1. Must be 18 years old. 2. Must have photo ID. 3. Must not be armed. My question is why would a legally armed volunteer be turned away? Would this affect whether or not you would volunteer to search? Keep little Noah and the family in your prayers. Not trying to be insensitive during a trying and emotional time for a family but it just doesn't make since to have this requirement.

You will want to be on dry land to do these tasks. Water pump is the same as on a two stroke. Should be all kinds of videos on line for the maintenance of your motor. Spraying water is not always and indication of the condition of your impeller. A bad impeller will pump some water but not always enough to properly cool. A water pressure gauge is a good investment for an outboard. Some people change their impeller every year. By the way it will have a screw on oil filter.

Check for rust. Under the floor mats where water has leaked and could not drain properly. Check front steering for wander. I did not like the 4 cylinder engine in one wrangler I had. The 4.0 inline 6 is a good engine. I get about 17 to 19 mpg with my 04 wrangler 4.0 5 speed driving decent and sometimes I pull my 17 foot Lowe aluminum boat with it with no problems.

I have a 3 year old black lab that weighs close to 90 pounds. He loves being in the water much more than being in the boat. Try getting a 90 pound dog back in the boat in the middle of the lake. I keep a full harness on him now so that I have something to grab hold of to pull him back in then I get a spray bath when he shakes off. LOL He also wants to chase the lure and anything that moves on the bank. I am getting used to fishing with one hand on the dog and one on the fishing pole.

It's hard to focus when you are looking over your shoulder all the time.

 

I have been trying to clear some land and woods lot with my dozer. I gave up today. The wasps are swarming the dozer everywhere I try to push. I got stung on the ear one day. Felt like I had been shot in the head...LOL When do the wasps quit nesting in the summer? I hate to wait until winter to do this work.

Will that fit in my 24 gun safe or will I have to upgrade? Worse case scenario I could leave my guns out so that it would be protected from theft. What is insurance costs on one of those?

This is a good one.   Check the schedule for the Blue Angels practice. It is behind the museam but you have to be there early. Note, do not carry any fire arms to the base.   Rids Riding bicycles in the area is great. Gulf State park has miles of walking and biking trails with lots of wildlife. Don't feed the gators. Lots of great golf courses. Probably no bargains on condos this time of year.
