  2. wow  i was hoping it would be cheaper than the LAR47. Ive seen the LAR47 here at gun shows in knoxville for around 1100  i think

  4. Ive heard alot of good things about trifexis. we use sentinel for heartworms so trifexis might be good to cover both.   ( as im writing this the wife says she heard bad things about it)   I still will ask the vet.
  5. Ill ask the vet about comfortis. its the first ive heard of that one. Has anyone used sentry?
  6. Yea it got bad quick. we need to treat everything. we use flea collars for the cat but never had any luck using them on  dogs. I  have powder for the carpets.
  7. What do you use for flea control? Are you still having flea problems? I have two golden retrievers and am still having a realy bad flea problem. I used to live in the north and by this time the fleas seem to go away. We were using frontline then it stopped working. the vet told us they changed the formula. My parents are old school and only use 7 powder. i know it works but our female has had a sensitivity to it so my wife doesnt want to try it again. Have any of you guys tried advantix?

  13. Wow . I stopped in to Harveys pistol and pawn on tuesday. first time in there and i was honestly shocked by how friendly and attentive the people were. every one was great. I feel like buying something i dont even need just because i was so impressed. Actually they do have a  gen 2 glock 19 that im thinking about. Have anyone of you guys ever been in there?
  14. I used to have a ruger .22 hornet. it was never a tack driver but still my favorite walking varminter. It took countless woodchuck, gophers, prairie dogs, pine squirells, cottontails and jack rabbits. Hornady v-max loads will make a jack rabbit look like some one put an M80 in side. And where i was in  MT .22 hornet was polpular for deer. you think of longrange shots in montana but there are so many deer getting up close was not a problem at all.
  15. Id guess theres more to it.  but i would say handguns have value. that being said i wouldnt be walking around with my wallet visible or a rolex at 2am. I used to live in a western state where open carry was very common, i did all the time.
  16. I had no idea CLP would ruin the finnish on a nice hardwood kitchen table.
  17. nice wood on the 870 good looking stock
  18. i went down there today, it was alot smaller than i hoped it would be. but the people were realy nice.

  20. how do the cittadel 1911s compare with RIA? they are in the price range. would you guys recomend them?
  21. Ill second that for the RIA   Not exactly sure of the price but the SA range officer looks good.
  22. there are so many excellent 1911s in varrying price point, are there any you would steer him away from? I would say avoid the taurus 1911. ive personally seen them fail way to often.
