I grew up on various military bases and was raised around some serious hardware...been around them all my life so when my GrandPa gave me my first .22 rifle it was not an earth shaking event. When my Uncle gave me his old 12 ga. no one in the family batted an eye. I hunted with cousins, took girls out on target shooting dates (to weed out the weird ones) and scared the halflife out of a kid trying to be a burglar.....so I picked 3 options. I remember being on Ft. Benning, with my Dad, during a live fire exercise just grinning like a fool when the M60 tanks lit up.....good times.

I know it's wishful thinking but I hope the blame gets put on the people rather than what they used. The rhetoric gets old of "assault rifles" doing the killing.

Anyone notice how the police are searching for the remaining suspects? Think Boston.......door to door searches.....sends shivers up and down my spine thinking this could be the model used in gun confiscations. Lord God help us.

Dogs are very cathartic when it comes to healing a hurt. My mother went ahead of me to be with our Lord back in September and it has been difficult getting used to the void that remains, especially now that the holidays are here. That being said...my wife and I rescued a GSD pup and named her Duchess Hilde von Wolfsburg...she was 5 weeks old when the rescue took place. She has East German and Russian bloodlines and is a silver and black shepherd. She started to thrive as soon as she arrived and has gained 10 lbs a month for the last 4 months. Duchess is a sweet girl and I know that God had her waiting for me to lick my sorrow away. Duchess at 5 weeks http:// Duchess at 12 weeks http:// Duchess at 16 weeks http://

Review of the Ulticlip replacement for IWB holsters
ArmyBrat61 replied to jgradyc's topic in Show and Tell
That pic shows me exactly what I needed to know...thank you...I will have to invest in a set of these...even with the added cost of new clips the AG holster still comes out cheaper. -
Review of the Ulticlip replacement for IWB holsters
ArmyBrat61 replied to jgradyc's topic in Show and Tell
I'm going to switch the clips to my Alien Gear holster and see how they work on it. I would be VERY interested in your review of these clips with the Alien Gear. I like the feel of mine but the clips are a pain to set just right. Please post with pictures....and thanks for the heads up on these...... -

Proper way to dispose of live primers?
ArmyBrat61 replied to MrBrian's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I put what few live primers I end up with in a ziplock and put a squirt of WD40 on them...water works well too.... :2cents: -

OK S1....I officially owe you a libation of your choice  That is what I need...I saw that before but did not know if it would work for my pistol....cross checking the part numbers and description....it appears so. I saw a parts "kit" on Ebay that was for the P9RK and came with the slide but I didn't want to drop the coin he is asking for it.

I spent the better part of yesterday afternoon doing just that......the thing that really frosted my buns was the trigger pin plunger and spring. They are so small but ya gotta have em....spent 15 minutes looking for the spring that was stuck in my shirt. Numrich has the spares I may need so I'm making a list of the usual springs and "consumable" parts. I usually replace pistol grips with something that has finger grooves and this one has them built in so the grips will stay...just need to replace those crappy sights. What I really need is a schematic/parts explosion page so I can see what goes where and how. Numrich does not have any 9mm specific parts (mags, barrel etc.) just the .45. I would love to have one of those lead slingers!

I took it apart down to the bare bones this afternoon and got it back together again with no parts missing or left over pieces. That little trigger bar retention stud is a bear to see, keep track of and get back in. I'm liking this pistol more and more...may have to go the Ebay route for extra mags, even if they do only hold 10. Next is some quality leather...it came with a cheap nylon belt holster...have to dress this old girl up in some stylish skin. The grips are comfortable so they will stay...this gun is really well balanced. I will post a range report when I can get an afternoon to myself......work work work....I do like the rewards of overtime though....
-
I've been searching the net for them and they are scarce....somebody told me to get the S&W 59 mags and cut the mag stop on the mirror side from the factory cut...might have to if all else fails.

I just picked this up for a song (OOOOOklahoma....ok too much coffee this morning) and its sweet. It is a F.E.G. P9RK in 9mm. All metal pistol, SA/DA with decocker/safety, finger grips, crappy sights and 2 15rd factory metal mags. I have already replaced some missing springs (maybe why I got it so cheap) and have not yet fired it. There is just something about an all metal pistol....vintage, sexy...I think I'll call her Zsa Zsa. http:// http://

The white eggs in the store are not fertile....will not produce a live bird. The meat production chickens are raised in a different facility, hatched from brown fertilzed eggs and are produced enmasse just for slaughter. A portion of the fertile eggs go into incubaters to begin the process again. Why are eggs so expensive? Well they came first.....

"I did not swear. But I did get frustrated and read the manual. But that was only after I admitted to my self I didn't know what I was doing. Hey, I did it years ago. I thought I could "remember" on my own. Not so...lol " RED ALERT RED ALERT MAN CARD VIOLATION IN PROGRESS!!! Swearing is the mystical incantation that is necessary when involved in the reassembly of favored weapons using archival memories. Additional violations include READING INSTRUCTION MANUAL and ADMISSION OF FAILURE. Punishment to include no sports for 1 weekend, no coffee for 1 weekend and 1 hour of Yanni in a closed room. Redemption of said MAN CARD to be achieved only after Group Therapy of 1MOA or less from said weapon, that caused violation, is achieved. Range time to be determined at a later date.
