14-Year-Old Grandson Saves the Day Youth fired fatal shots at the intruder, who ignored his warnings. Mint Hill, NC – In a great example of why kids should be taught shooting skills, a 14-year-old boy visiting his grandparents’ house reportedly had to use deadly force against an intruder who broke a window and kept trying to enter the house in spite of his warnings. Apparently, two brothers were working together. The younger one, age 18, was breaking into the house. Anyone familiar with the house, which had been broken into twice in the previous month, would expect only a grandmother to be inside the home. Her husband was not home at the time, but thankfully their grandson was there. The grandmother was described by her husband as “getting over an illness,†and her prescription medication may have been what the thieves were after. After hearing glass breaking, the teen armed himself and warned the intruder. When the criminal kept coming, the teen fired three times. It’s unknown where the older (age 22) brother was at the time of the shooting, but not long afterward, he drove a gray SUV away from the scene. Police later arrested him and charged him with first-degree burglary. He was easy to find because he was wearing an electronic monitor. You see, he was on probation for breaking into the same house twice before! Sadly, it wasn’t the first time the young man’s life had been touched by violence. His grandfather said that when the boy was just eight years old, his father was murdered in his place of business. Thank goodness he was there visiting his grandparents and that he knew how to use a gun. Anyone who attempts to break into a house that he knows is inhabited cannot have good intentions for the residents - See more at: http://www.alloutdoor.com/2014/12/21/14-year-old-grandson-saves-day/?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_content=2014-12-23&utm_campaign=Weekly+Newsletter#sthash.SmODaAlf.dpuf

Might be full of air w the thermostat stuck open. Fwiw thermostats typically default to open when they go bad. Temp gauge can give a false read if there's air in the system.

Dustbuster replied to RED333's topic in General Chat
This is bad. And people wonder why officers get pissed when people reach into their pockets or won't show hands. Prayers for the officers families -

Thanks vanilla sounds good! -
I really like it. Lubed it up, Have run about 300 rnds through it. It's simple to set up. if needed,u can always go back to a Std handle w out having to re tune the whole rifle and re sight the optic....it feels different than a Gibbz side charger, but it works fine once set up properly and broken in. By broken in meaning the charger has been racked 40 or 50 times. I like the idea that it can be moved from ar to ar in minutes.... HTH

Awesome I really like the hand guard, cool design!

Ought to be good w Clint Eastwood in the wheelhouse on this. I hope the Kyle family prospers, as Ventura goes down in the books as the dick who continued to sue a seal and his family after he was buried

The money went up to pay for the hank Thompson archive bldng most likely.never thought I would see a county commissioner push to approve construction of a building named after himself at a cost of almost 10 times what anybody else would pay to have the same building constructed it makes me want to throw up.One would figure after the FBI arrested vandercook, the elected douchebags would straighten up. No such luck. The whole county commission is lame or tainted w the exception of 1 maybe 2 commissioners. Totally disgusting. For those who have to endure their bs,I'll keep u in my prayers cause nothing else works except for handcuffs on those pieces of excrement.

Just had to share this, as XMAS is close, and its the time of year where everyone wants to be happy!.... Had to pay a large unexpected bill that popped up and couldn't be put off. Being shy on fast cash I made a call to a local pawn shop to let them babysit a couple black rifles till i got "re situated". If u have kids in college u know where im coming from,It really pissed me off cause I hadn't had to pawn anything since my military days but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. So I planned to hit a pawn shop after taking care of some "fish biz" this am. As i was wrapping up, i got a call from a guy that owed me money for a job I did, where he hadn't paid up. He graciously, and apologetically informed me he direct deposited money into my account, and wanted me to know it was done. Of course, this call came when I was less than a block away from the pawn shop. Needless to say, I didn't have to patronize that business, and eat a green "life is such" turd in the process. Another example of faith working at its best. I could share about 5 more life experience stories that were kind of similar in content where something happens before witching hour, all amounting to having faith. We've heard similar stories of being down to the last round, can, match, morsel of food, or life's life or death minute where something would catalyst a situation 180 degrees for the good...Some times faith can get tricky but its just great to maintain when the floodgates of hell, BS or a miracle is needed... So, I guess what i wanted to convey is when crap gets overwhelming, don't forget what you can do to get reloaded and going again. Including remembering to live by a golden rule.. Happy Holidays !! PS: For the record, this really had nothing to do w the secret santa stuff we were clowning around about earlier,enjoy...

It was probably stolen from the dealership before they caught it in inventory, before it went to auction. A lot of trucks w TX tags showed up downrange and guess what? They were all stolen. from ford F series to tahoe and suburbans.......The dealer probably told them THEY would clean it up for the plumber and didnt do squat... It should have been easy to tell it wasn't his look:
