  1. The 67 is simply the stainless version of the 15....they are both a "Combat Masterpiece" The advantage is that it is much easier to touch up the 67 due to stainless. If you are referring to the J&G police turn ins....get one. You will not be disappointed. K - Frame S&W guns...like their 3rd gen auto cousins...are way, Way, WAY underrated guns. Pinnacle of design
  2. All I know is that those shots hurt like hell! Did the ingrown surgery about 10 years ago and still remember those shots. The guy had a big, full syringe and just started stabbing my toe 20 or 30 times while pressing the plunger. Felt like he was squirting a golf ball in my toe. If I had to do it again I would show up with a bottle of rum and a leather strap to bite on.
  3. I run those forums and have some insight on the SP...PM me your email address and I will forward you a very helpful bit of info.
  4. That is my take on it too...They are plinkers anyway so work up till you get decent groups and enjoy them.
  5. Woohoo SP-101 Thread!!!!
  6. There was a very interesting article in American Rifleman last year (I think) on the history of the Garand....It is worth a read if you run across it.
  7. Love it.... edited. Even better - Read the PDF - The pwnage is much, much better! Wikipedia basically put them through a literary meat grinder. edited again....even better. The Wikipedia chief council's last name is Godwin....FTW!!!
  8. They don't get any classier than Hedo Rick....Stay classy old man....stay classy!
  9. Agreed...I would trust the long time range master's judgement over any of the members here.
  10. I agree that TWRA does a good job.....but there is something just dirty about having to pay $51 to shoot a squirrel. Almost as stupid as having to pay even more for a big game license to hunt a wild pig Or have an almost inability to shoot a flying pig (can. goose) just pontificates how good a deal that lifetime liscense when you are a little tyke.
  11. and stuffed in a bag in my freezer....
  12. I am still trying to figure out why in the world people would want a revolver round in a pistol?!?
  13. I have been saying for years that the market is wide open for someone to sweep the industry with low priced "plinking" primers. Primers cost very, Very, VERY little to make. If they are priced right I will buy them. Primers, if they work, are 100% commodity items....like flour, rice, or water.
  14. I don't like her because she can not cook a proper breakfast.....awful!!!!!
  15. It is unbelievably easy to load 38 s&w being a low pressure straight walled cartridge. Brass and dies can be purchased at a very good price. I think that the webleys are rifled for .360, but I don't think that you will notice the accuracy hit on such a gun using .358 lead bullets and a decent crimp
  16. Be careful with dechlorinated brake cleaner....it will DESTROY the finish on a 10/22 or similar painted aluminum receiver. Otherwise - Yes - this is about the best solvent that you can use.
  17. 1 part Motor oil 1 part ATF This is the lube that I put on most of my guns. I use kerosene in place of Hoppe's...The active ingredient is the same and it works just as well. Why would one throw their money away like that if they can make a equivalent product for 1/10 the money. Stated another way....Why would one go through the trouble of growing their own vegetables if all they have to do is go to the store and buy them?
  18. I am still amazed that people find such an idiotic topic with no merit at all could go on for 5 whole pages. The dumb really hurts to read. I can't believe people would look both ways when crossing a one way street!!!! Cars are only coming from one direction....People that do this are amateurish and should learn better than that. Also...when the power goes out in the neighborhood - Some people have the nerve to still try and use the light switches. My gosh you would have thought they know that the power is out!!!
  19. Can't add anything else not covered. Yep - you are right. It looks like you made a $1500 mistake. Hate to hear it
  20. Sounds similar to an experience in my college days....Cisco and MD 20/20 will make you do some crazy things.
  21. Not needed at all. It is there to 1) mount a sling 2) Keep in the look of the other guns offered at the time....the deerfield carbines, 96 models, minis, and #3s. Kinda like how cars by any one manufacturer look alike.
  22. This is truth. Anyone who claims to put standing 1" at 25 yards is lying to you. If they aren't lying - they are likely to be nationally renowned as a shooting personality. Jerry Miculek couldn't do it....I would put money on it.
  23. Send him the link to this thread if you know his email....in a couple of weeks. That way when he finds out we all wiped our man bags on it while you left it in the restroom= teh final word Actually - you did the right thing.
  24. This is why me and everyone else in Chattanooga have driven out all of the crappy shops like this. We find other places to do business.
  25. I WOULD BUY IT...THAT REALLY ISN'T A BAD DEAL FOR A VERY UNDERRATED GUN. THEY ARE MUCH BETTER THAN PEOPLE GIVE THEM CREDIT FOR! GO FOR IT!!!! /Sorry - Couldn't resist
