  1. The PTR's are really nice. Just kind of hard to find. I'm picking up my PTR-91SC on Monday. Every PTR I've ever shot was a great shooter. Plus they're mostly American parts, and assembled up in Connecticut, so you get the extra bonus of stimulating the American economy when buying one.
  2. I think he's expecting a lot of people to crash on his couch after the Apocalypse... Although apparently they're expected to bring their own tupperware and bolt actions since he clearly doesn't have enough to go around for those who don't want AK's to fight the Cuban airborne with while shouting "Wolverines" at the top of their lungs.
  3. You can still find a Colt 9mm AR but they're not cheap. Olympic, Bushmaster, and RRA make them as well. Other pistol caliber carbines that come to mind: Hi-Point 995 HK94's and related clones Uzi Carbines and related clones Kel-Tec Sub2000 That's about all I can think of off the top of my head, besides the Beretta CX4. Edit: Oh yeah, forgot the new Thompson clones that Auto-Ordnance is producing.
  4. But the iPhone is so much cooler than the iPod Touch! Besides, my trusty iPod 30gb is still running like a champ.
  5. Just one more reason I wish Verizon had gotten the deal for the iPhone instead of AT&T...
  6. It really depends on the motherboard. Most should just see it as PC2700, but I've run into a couple that will not recognize it at all.
  7. I don't have any PC2700, but I do have a couple 512mb sticks of PC3200 I could mail you. Will your board take PC3200?
  8. I have it for PC. skwashdem on steam, can also get me on xfire as skwashdem.
  9. When are these supposed to be available for purchase?
  10. Co-op mode, shotguns, .45's, and hordes of zombies to kill... What's not to like?
  11. I'll probably get the PC version next month off of Steam when I pick up GTA4 for PC.
  12. Amendment XX, Section 3 Section 3. If, at the time fixed for the beginning of the term of the President, the President elect shall have died, the Vice President elect shall become President. If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President elect shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified. Short answer: Biden would become President until the Dems can put forward a candidate who actually is qualified to be President. Probably Hillary. I think Biden would then step down to being VP, as he was elected to do. At least that's my understanding from reading the applicable sections and amendments to the constitution. But I'm not a constitutional law professor, so I'm not positive.
  13. 9mm for now. When the .45ACP conversion kit comes out, I'm probably going to get one of those as well.
  14. It's got the medium size frame on it, and to be honest... it feels and points a lot like my XD, but weighs a bit less. So I really like how it feels in my hand. And holding them side by side the P250 with a full mag feels like it weighs about the same as my XD with an empty mag. I don't know yet. I can't make it to a range till later this week or this weekend. Probably pretty well. It is a Sig you know.
  15. Picked myself up a new Sig P250 from Brian and Tom down at Tri-Cities Gun-Depot this afternoon. As an unexpected bonus, it fits both of my carry holsters for my XD-9 Service fairly well.
  16. I'm sure I've missed a couple, but these were the ones with detachable magazines that I could find quickly. Ruger 77/22 Savage Mark II Remington Model Five CZ 452, 453, or 513 Marlin 980 or 925
  17. Don't feel bad Num. I have the same problem, and I usually dress about the same way you do, and have no problems concealing my 4" XD while carrying IWB. These ideas should help, even though you're about three inches shorter than me. 1.) Relaxed fit, boot cut jeans that are a size too big in the waist. I wear my XD at 4 o'clock in these in an IWB tuckable holster. For khakis, if you don't need them to hold a crease, get relaxed fit khaki slacks from some place like Old Navy. If you need them to hold a crease, or look a bit more formal, go to a real menswear store. 2.) For Polo shirts, I wear IZOD 100% cotton shirts from JC Penney's. An ex-girlfriend bought me some of these because my old Polo's weren't long enough in the back to comfortably tuck in over my XD. These actually are long enough to tuck in. I also wear these every day to work with a pair of slacks, and never have had an issue concealing my XD at work. 3.) Dress clothes: Go to whatever the local equivalent of Joseph A Banks is. If it's actually a Banks store, they're about to become your new best friend as far as concealing your weapon in dress clothes is concerned. Banks in particular has been very gun friendly in my experience. And they'll help you tailor your clothes around your particular sidearm. For example, my dress slacks and suits all have reinforced right side hip pockets for pocket carry. They also have an extra layer of fabric behind my right hip on the suit jackets to keep the jacket from wearing thin over my XD. The pants also have 1.5" belt loops instead of the more normally found 1.25" loops. 4.) Always get a female's opinion. Even if you have to resort to asking one of the girls working in the shop who looks like she's 16. They might notice something you didn't. 5.) Most of the good gun leather companies also make pretty good gun belts. I wear a 1.5" gun belt with everything, including my suits. I think I spent about $100 or so on each of my gun belts, one brown and one black. Good leather isn't cheap, but good leather will last for years. The cheap belts will maybe make it through a year of daily carry. Hope that helps some.

    XD Owners!

I've got an XD-9 Service as well, and it's got a little over 9k rounds through it now. I'd say at least 6000 of that has been WWB. I've never had a single malfunction of any kind with it. The only work I've had done was having a set of Meprolight night sights installed when I bought it. Everything else is still stock. I also haven't cleaned it something like 3k rounds and it's still shooting perfectly.
  19. Hi-Points have this thing about them... They go bang when you pull the trigger, and when you run out of ammo, you can always use it as a club/hammer and not feel bad about marring the finish. All jokes aside, Big Al's in Greeneville makes custom Kydex holsters. You might be able to get a better IWB holster from him for the Hi-Point at a decent price. I can't remember the website for his holster side-business, but he's a nice guy, so it wouldn't hurt to call him about it if you're interested in something a little easier to adjust the cant on.
  20. Have you tried moving the gun laterally on your belt to see if that doesn't dig in quite as much while driving? Or adjusting the cant of your holster if that's an option? I sometimes have to do both of those while driving with my XD Service carried IWB to keep it from digging into my kidney.
  21. I'm leaning more towards Grand Theft Auto IV myself. (=
  22. I've got a set of green dot Meprolight's on my XD-9, they're still going strong and bright after three years and 9k rounds.
  23. Have you tried physically moving the sight itself to a different rail slot to see if it's just your eyes require a different amount of relief than your wife does?
