  1. Last year I did reveal mine, but I also wrote a letter explaining why I chose what gifts. I did not this year, and I also shipped from a location other than my home. Maybe I'll see if they like the gifts first! lol
  2. Just the same as they would if shot in the groin. I don't think odds are equal that you may hit something vital. If they are already within 21ft of you most would argue you're screwed regardless. If you guys believe people can't move with broken or even shattered pelvis', they can. I feel that I have a 6"-8" deviation of the center line I can hit and still do well at stopping the threat. I would not feel that way when aiming at a groin, especially not with a 22lr as I mentioned earlier. I highly doubt either aiming point will stop an attacker with one round fired anyway, I have no illusions about that. We carry pistols, not death rays. I don't care where you aim to defend yourself, just stop the threat, expeditiously.
  3. All I can say is for those of you that wish to aim for the pecker, go for it. I'll stick to center mass. I feel as though (and science along with multiple trainers agree) center mass gives me the highest probability of stopping the threat.
  4. I'm sorry, and I'm glad it worked in her case, but that's terrible advice.
  5. I've had 4 orders with them the last two weeks. One did exactly what yours is doing. It said they printed the label, yet it never got any further. Surprise, surprise it shows up on my porch one day. Why? Because our postal workers never scanned it when it was picked up, nor at any of it's stops. I've dealt with PA's customer service a couple of times. I doubt very highly they would tell you that they shipped it on the phone when it wasn't in stock. They've bent over backwards to help me both times. I've got no stake in the matter, but as I said...I'd be willing to bet.
  6. I'd be willing to bet it's a problem with USPS and not Primary Arms. I have ordered from them no less than 30 times, all flawless
  7. I opened this thread and read the first post thinking "wow, I'd really like to have one of those." Then I saw the price, and I'll have to stick with getting a side charging upper. It's innovative, I'll give them that
  8. :gasp: A remote control AR?!? The antis will crap the bed! Mine will either the vz2008, which I already have several parts for, or the H&R single shot in 300BO for a suppressor host.
  9. In all honesty, I've read that before, and never even thought to apply it to suppressors. My family owns and operates a machine shop, I'll leave that at that. I don't want to be the test case though, I'm sure of that.
  10. I feel like I'm about to get some schooling, do you care to post that specifically or a link to it?
  11. No no no. It's "fisna" do
  12. Got my gift today! It's a waterproof shaving kit bag that's actually made from recycled fire hose. Can't say I've ever seen one of these before, and my mind goes crazy as to what else you could put in this bag. Definitely a unique and awesome gift! Thanks secret Santa! I wish I knew what your screen name was, but I do know your name is Matt!
  13. No there aren't laws in TN keeping you from making your own.
  14. Tis true, I suppose it's a good problem to have, the ADM is a better mounting system anyway, so I should stop bitching
  15. While I agree NTCH isn't "necessary", if that's how you train and shoot, it needs to stay consistent. Hence the reason I'm getting a new mount instead of adapting my shooting for that one firearm
  16. I've decided I'm going to have to invest in a new mount for this scope. Although I mainly shoot this gun from a bipod or sandbag, I have to run the stock completely extended to get the eye relief and that's just too different from the way I run my other AR's. As bad as I hate to sink the money into it, I'll be ordering another American Defense mount after Christmas
  17. Never heard of him until that video. He's....off, to say the least
  18. Speaking of Hipoints...
  19. Woohoo! Got my giftee's presents squared away today. I'm kinda jealous, I wish I had ordered 2! Lol
  20. Thanks bud. It's too dark to tell anything much about it, but what I can see by the light of my flashlight I like!
  21. Got mine in today. The only thing I don't like is the amount of eye relief it needs. So much so that I've got the scope pushed forward as far as I can in this mount. It's fine, but ideally I need a more forward mount. Hopefully I get to wring it out Saturday
  22. That's awesome. At that rate it would be more than worth it for me to make the drive over there and make a day trip or even an overnight trip out of it
  23. I'm not an MD, but I'll play. MRSA can almost certainly be ruled out. Hell, I can clear that up and I'm only a nurse. Surely they have done cultures on the drainage before, no? I mean...that's the way to tell what the actual bacteria is in the drainage. But again, any nurse could tell you that, so I'm sure his doctors have done this. Cysts, or abscesses like that are usually at least as big under the skin as on top. So knowing that, and going from what I can see on the terrible screen resolution on my phone, that drainage looked too serous to truly be infected right now. Does his knee hurt in the joint? It's possible that abscess has developed a tract into the joint space and what you're seeing be squeezed out is synovial fluid. Unlikely, but still. I feel like I'm on an episode of House. By chance does he have a cat? Yes, serious question.
  24. I like it. I can see it being one I need to have down the road. That price though is personally not one I'd pay for it.
  25. Atta boy, much better
