  1. I agree with you 110%    6.8AR.  We need to get people thinking for them selves like folks did years ago when I was growing up. My father has got to be rolling over in his grave knowing what this country has become. I grew up is home that was very dedicated to America. There was always an Old Glory hanging from our flag pole at our home just as there is one in front of mine and when ever it was needed it would be lowered to half staff. When it wore out a new one was bought to replace it. I can remember how furious he got when he saw flag burnings in the news and the people not arrested for it. Anytime the National Anthem was played on TV or in Public my father made sure we all stood up and put our hands over our hearts and he saluted since he was vet from WWII. There was nothing negative allow to be said against America in our home. My sons were all taught the same thing and still do it today. I heard my grandson say something negative about America one day and he got an ear full of how great this country is from me and you can bet he may think what he wants but he will never mention it in my presence or his fathers presence again. The way I look at it is if you don't like America you have two choices. You can support the majority or your welcome to leave and find a country that suits your beliefs. Right now the majority have spoken and voted to fund the Government and de-fund the Affordable Care Act. That means it's time to choose. Are you part of the majority or are you not.............jmho
  2. Does anyone here actually expect anyone in Federal Government to give up any perks they have given themselves then I have some ocean from property just south of Nashville Tennessee about 50 miles for sale cheap...........
  3. I have a buddy that has been hunting it for past couple weeks and he as about 6lbs of green so far and said he will keep going till it is gone. One warning to all that hunt it. Make sure you have a gun with you filled with snake shot or rat shot just in case you meet an unfriendly forest creature that sizzlers on the ground. So far my buddy has killed to Copperheads during his hunting trips. He also ran up on a rattler but the rattler was trying it's best to move away from him so he let it go...........jmho
  4. socialized medicine has been implemented in countries far less populated such as England, Canada and Australia and it has proven to be a failure or major screw up from A=Z. How can anyone honestly believe that it will work in a country the size of the United States, especially when the program was designed and signed into law by a bunch of idiots that have no clue how to find their way home with out a GPS in their car to give them directions. Then a President so stupid that he signed it just because a Botox Queen told him he would have to sign it to learn whats in it. That is not leadership folks that is pure and simple stupidity and like I always say "you can't fix Stupid"  but we can vote stupid out of office if we can get enough people that still have brain cells functioning in any type of intelligence what so ever. The House took that first Giant step forward yesterday nd now it is time for the American people to melt down the phone lines to their Senators telling them to vote in favor of the House Bill or they will be unemployed come next election..........jmho
  5. Has anyone ever watched the TV show   "Person of Interest"?  That is exactly what this boils down to. They will soon be able to scan and sort out 5,000 people walking down a side walk and type one name into the computer and it will find you in that crowd of 5,000 in a matter of seconds. Now like 6.8AR mentioned. It all depends on who is looking and what their intentions are and to if this technology will be good thing or bad thing........jmho
  6. This is my take on the Affordable Health Care Act and it's credibility. The entire bill was crafted by a complete democratic group of people. They would not let 1 republican in the room during it's creation. It was started on about the 22nd day of December when all but the few Democrats that were creating this monster was on holiday leave. It was completed on Christmas eve at 11:50 PM and the democrats rested and went home for the rest of holiday leave. After the holiday Leave and everyone was back in Washington DC the Botox queen placed the bill she almost need help carrying on the Presidents desk. He ask her what was in it and he exact words were Quote   " You have to sign it to learn whats in it"  !!!!!! Now any one with any sense at all which does leave Obama out evidently would not have signed it until they knew what was in it but instead he whipped out that rack of pens he likes to used and signed away this country. Since then because he still does not know what is in it he has had to write executive orders on several occasions extending parts of the bill for a year because not only him but most of the Senate could not figure out how to implement a particular part of it until it is fixed. This Bill is going to be more devastating to this country than the sinking of the titanic, Bombing of Pearl Harbor, attack on the country on 9/11 and last two more wars all wrapped up together in this 1100 page bill...........The only thing good that can come from this bill would be it's de-funding that would save our country from total and complete bankruptcy............jmho
  7.       Al I know is he called his gun Betsey and I think it was flintlock but probably could research it and find out ...............jmho
  8.   I don't know if it would be legal or not but might get you a few guns. Only danger I see in that would be receiving stolen guns and being charged with Receiving and concealing stolen property. There is no way to run numbers on guns this day in time without the man coming to your home to take from you the guns you paid money for and giving you nothing in return. They may not arrest you for having it if you tell them you honestly purchased it but you will still be out the investment........jmho
  9. I don't think you can buy the guns that are traded for the groceries. It is a police thing and they say that all of the weapons are destroyed. I'm betting the police run the numbers on the guns and find many of them are stolen. I saw results of the one they held here in Nashville last year and guns some worth 300.00 to 500.00 were being traded for 50.00 worth of groceries. If any were not stolen you can bet the cops now own them...........Only a person that is totally stupid will turn in a 500.00 legal gun for 50 bucks in groceries............jmho
  10.     I think I mentioned some of this in previous posts. Obama began giving litmus tests to many of his highest ranking personnel in all branches of our military and he ended up relieving them of their duty as the head of any commands because he found out they would not order their troops to fire upon American people on American Soil just because he told them to. He also made enemies of all the troops by not letting them all that were out of country not vote in last election. He began alienating himself from our military as far back as his speech he made at West point shortly after taking office in his first term. He made the statement that (close quote) " I think that since we have a fully voluntary military I think that they should also volunteer to pay for their own medical expenses for injuries sustained during battle in war." You could hear a pin drop in that auditorium when he said that and you can imagine what those soldiers at West point academy were thinking almost immediately. I think that night and that speech put him on a down hill slide that he has not yet and will never recover back from. So as far as him being able to depend on our Military to take a stance against the American people and standing beside him are slim to none at best................jmho
  11. I was kinda thinking the same thing. I think this has been blown totally out of proportion and don't really know why but I'm sure someone will tell me after this post. folks Starbucks is not the first business to post or consider posting a gun free zone sign in their place of business yet we myself included in a limited capacity have blown this news totally out of proportion. I have gotten over it because like I said I cannot afford to buy coffee there to begin with but for those of you that are customers of Starbucks that can and have taken offense it's like I said before, if you like their products that well go through the drive up window , buy your products and just move on with it. I'm sure this is not the first business that you have done business with that has posted their doors as Gun free zones and it won't be the last, as I am quite sure of that. But now with all of this said, I'm sure in a short time Starbucks just like other businesses have learned that those pieces of paper on their windows will in a short time begin effecting their bottom lines at the end of the day and they will begin coming down and then all they can do is hope that teh customers will come back. I know of two businesses that put the signs up and with in two weeks removed them as they began to see less and less people sitting in their dining areas.  Ok now you can begin beating me up..............jmho
  12. Ok nick, I will give you the benefit of the doubt that neither Bush nor Obama are guilty of giving them the power to carry. I will just tell you that according to statistics all released in 2012 all Government agencies that previously had armed personnel in 2008, all of them have more than tripled the amount of armed staff each agency had by May 2012. That was done just the four years Obama was in office. I guess that would explain why all of these agencies along with Homeland Security had to order over 120 million rounds of ammunition during that same time period huh?
  13. Salted caramel mocha frappuccino............ :yuck: :yuck: :puke: .   that sounds like a laxative I saw advertised on TV commercial the other day................
  14. I am going to write Lamar and tell him I'm voting for Joe Carr. Would love to be fly on the wall in his office when he reads my email................
  15. Gosh there is something else I was not aware of. I didn't know Tennessee started requiring drug tests to get welfare and food stamps???????? Has anyone heard anything about it or has it not kicked in yet???? I have been wishing they would have began that years ago before these scumbags broke TennCare because about 50% or more would get booted off the Freebee train....jmho
  16.   Thing is most folks won't vote  for a third party candidate 99% of the time and they end up getting just enough votes to put a RINO back in office. All a third party Candidate does is make folks undecided in most cases.........jmho
  17. Well, there has been a lot of different weapons mentioned and all of them have their place and time for use for sure. My self I think the Tennessee choice should be any model Barrett for several reasons beginning with the fact that they were designed in Tennessee, are made in Tennessee, Have the farthest sniper kills on record to date and there is nothing negative anyone can say about them.............jmho
  18.   So ok, now we might know a little bit more about who was in front of who but still does not explain trying to fix stupid. Two people are still dead over one not driving fast enough to please the other and still only one side of the story and still ashame that two people are dead..........jmho
  19. Not that was surely needed right now for sure..............
  20. Well I didn't vote for corker the first time because I knew he was a weasel so I didn't vote that part of the ballot. I'm not planning on voting for Alexander this time or Corker next time regardless.........jmho
  21. I just wrote my Corker and Alexander and told them that if they don't vote in line with the GOP on de-funding the Affordable Care Act and stand behind them and voting with them on the budget discussions that I will make it my point to do my best to be sure neither one of them get re-elected starting with my vote. I think it's time any of ya'll that have not wrote yet, it's time. Also if any of you folks know folks outside Tennessee contact them and ask them to write their elected officials and tell them the same thing. I think the American people are finally beginning to get their point across and they seem to now be listening so it's time to begin hammering our points home.............jmho
  22. well, I'm not going to ever say they won't get my guns but I will say this. I will not go silently into the night and they will remove them from cold dead clammy hands when they do because I have no plans of just inviting them in to take them............jmho
  23.   All that be said to that is "stupid is as stupid does" and one thing is for sure.........."you can't fix stupid"
  24. I say they keep the limit where it is and let Obama figure out how to cover that crazy spending binge he seems to be on. Make him account for every dollar he has spent over the last year. Then maybe, just maybe we can find out where our tax dollars are going since they don't seem they are being spent on helping Americans lives improve. Lets see how much money he is sneaking to the Muslim Brotherhood that could better be spent on things for Americans...........jmho
  25. I don't know about anyone else but I figured out early in the original read that it was a fight over custody and  a "who's your daddy" issue when it was discussed about the child's last name. Why the judge even got involved in the child's first name is beyond my comprehension but it did. Now with that said  I am glad to hear a judge got it corrected. Not it will be up to the "time will tell situation" as to how long it will take for this child to either hate his parents for his name or how long it takes his name to drive him to suicide over all the bullying he is going to receive from it. I hope he grows up tough cause he is going to need it..........jmho
