Here is a dose of Big Brother you might not like...
bersaguy replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Mike has touched on one point that is a true fact for sure. The Tea Party is working hard and has made many positive strides in bringing back many aspects of Patriotism that was being lost. I don't mind telling anyone I am a proud member of the Tea party in Tennessee. I ask any of you here that are true patriots to join if your not in already. Right now they are one of the most powerful tools there is out their in getting our country back where is should be. It was the Tea Party elected members of the House that push the Speaker last week on the vote they took and won. The Speaker took the credit for it but it was the Tea Party that played to biggest role in it. As the tea party grows so does the Patriotism across this nation. Then as that grows so does our people who still know and love to Constitution grow and the word spreads............jmho -
Our children are our future and most important asset. They must be protected from the indoctrination being forced on them in public schooling. My son could not afford to have my 5 year old grand son home schooled. He was an unexpected surprise since their other two boys were already grown and gone from the nest. I told my daughter in law to find out how much it would cost for her to home school him and I gave them the money and Logan 5 Year old is now going to be home schooled by her. I will not have Logan in a public school. If home school becomes and issue I will pay for him to attend a Private Christian School.

Rand Paul Giving Up on Presidential Run?
bersaguy replied to Oh Shoot's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Gosh , I really don't see anything Rand Paul said is not somewhat true as far as blacks being targeting more on drugs but the reason is blacks are doing more of it so easier to catch them at it so in all reality they will get caught more. Now if your referring to the statement about the world not getting to see Obama be President, if you stop and think about it for just a minute. That may have actually a deep shot at Obama to remind all Americans that Obama used hard drugs all during college and high school and he is just reminding folks of it to let them know they voted a drug addict into the White House. Who knows what those drugs did Obama's brain cells. There are a couple ways to look at Pauls remarks. Negatively or positively I think he was just playing Obama style politics myself and just letting things slip out on purpose. Remember just the other day Kerry let a slip of the tongue bail Obama out of his red line and Syria problem child. Why couldn't Pauls slip for a positive down the road?...........jmho -

Good police officer doing his job and ended a deadly threat the way it should be done. I commend him for his actions and his not hesitating to do what was necessary to save that little girls life. Job well done.

This is the kind of men our President says is unfit for duty and is forcing them into early retirement I think that this Marine could make a good president...We need more of these guys...not less. 16 best quotes from Gen. James Mattis, who retired on 22 May 2013 after 41 years of service. BY: Washington Free Beacon Staff Gen. James Mattis, known to his troops as “Mad Dog Mattis,†is retiring after 41 years of military service. The Marine Corps Times is calling Mattis the “most revered Marine in a generation.†Mattis has been commander of the United States Central Command since 2010 and led the 1st Marine Division into Iraq in 2003. According to reports, President Barack Obama decided to force the Marine Corps legend out early because he rubbed civilian officials the wrong way, and forced them to answer tough questions regarding Iran. Mattis was an inspirational leader of men and his powerful words will go down in history. Here are some of the best words that the “Mad Dog†has had to offer: 1. “I don’t lose any sleep at night over the potential for failure. I cannot even spell the word.†2. “The first time you blow someone away is not an insignificant event. That said, there are some a$$holes in the world that just need to be shot.†3. “I come in peace. I didn’t bring artillery. But I’m pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you screw with me, I will kill you all.†4. “Find the enemy that wants to end this experiment (in American democracy) and kill every one of them until they’re so sick of the killing that they leave us and our freedoms intact.†5. “Marines don’t know how to spell the word defeat.†6. “Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet.†7. “The most important six inches on the battlefield is between your ears.†8. “You are part of the world’s most feared and trusted force. Engage your brain before you engage your weapon.†9. “There are hunters and there are victims. By your discipline, cunning, obedience and alertness, you will decide if you are a hunter or a victim.†10. “No war is over until the enemy says it’s over. We may think it over, we may declare it over, but in fact, the enemy gets a vote.†11. “There is nothing better than getting shot at and missed. It’s really great.†12. “You cannot allow any of your people to avoid the brutal facts. If they start living in a dream world, it’s going to be bad.†13. “You go into Afghanistan, you got guys who slap women around for five years because they didn’t wear a veil. You know, guys like that ain’t got no manhood left anyway. So it’s a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them. Actually it’s quite fun to fight them, you know. It’s a hell of a hoot. It’s fun to shoot some people. I’ll be right up there with you. I like brawling.†14. “I’m going to plead with you, do not cross us. Because if you do, the survivors will write about what we do here for 10,000 years.†15. “Demonstrate to the world there is ‘No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy’ than a U.S. Marine.†16. “Fight with a happy heart and strong spirit†And one final quote for returning Veterans: Anybody surprised Obama forced this guy to retire early? Oooorah!!!

House plans to vote on de-funding obamacare
bersaguy replied to Wingshooter's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I agree with you 100% but it won't make any difference because the damage they did will already be done. You note that they exempted all of them from the ACA because they know is is a train wreck. Is there any hope? Only what is going on right now and if the people will do what is necessary to prevent the train wreck they don't have much time so don't wait til tomorrow. Speak up today........jmho -
Just like Tom Clancy wrote in Threat Vector
bersaguy replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
We don't need to have a physical war with China. They already have their hands in so many different areas of our country some would say they already own us. An actual physical engagement do more harm to China than good. We do have better technology at present and a lot of what would happen would be very much like WWII. It would depend on how many other countries it bled over into that would then get involved and then it would be dependent on which side they chose to fight for and against. There are not a lot of countries China could depend on for actual help because most of them are not equip to go off shore for battle. Most Muslim nations except for maybe Iran has no real naval capabilities. China keeps most of it's naval ships close to home, mainly in the China Sea which actually could become a Pearl Harbor really fast with our Naval Vessels scattered all over the world. I do believe 6.8 hit the nail on the head when he said that we have been at war with them through cybernetics for a lot of years. That is really more the kind of war China would rather be engaged in.............jmho -

I agree with you 110% 6.8AR. We need to get people thinking for them selves like folks did years ago when I was growing up. My father has got to be rolling over in his grave knowing what this country has become. I grew up is home that was very dedicated to America. There was always an Old Glory hanging from our flag pole at our home just as there is one in front of mine and when ever it was needed it would be lowered to half staff. When it wore out a new one was bought to replace it. I can remember how furious he got when he saw flag burnings in the news and the people not arrested for it. Anytime the National Anthem was played on TV or in Public my father made sure we all stood up and put our hands over our hearts and he saluted since he was vet from WWII. There was nothing negative allow to be said against America in our home. My sons were all taught the same thing and still do it today. I heard my grandson say something negative about America one day and he got an ear full of how great this country is from me and you can bet he may think what he wants but he will never mention it in my presence or his fathers presence again. The way I look at it is if you don't like America you have two choices. You can support the majority or your welcome to leave and find a country that suits your beliefs. Right now the majority have spoken and voted to fund the Government and de-fund the Affordable Care Act. That means it's time to choose. Are you part of the majority or are you not.............jmho -

I have a buddy that has been hunting it for past couple weeks and he as about 6lbs of green so far and said he will keep going till it is gone. One warning to all that hunt it. Make sure you have a gun with you filled with snake shot or rat shot just in case you meet an unfriendly forest creature that sizzlers on the ground. So far my buddy has killed to Copperheads during his hunting trips. He also ran up on a rattler but the rattler was trying it's best to move away from him so he let it go...........jmho

socialized medicine has been implemented in countries far less populated such as England, Canada and Australia and it has proven to be a failure or major screw up from A=Z. How can anyone honestly believe that it will work in a country the size of the United States, especially when the program was designed and signed into law by a bunch of idiots that have no clue how to find their way home with out a GPS in their car to give them directions. Then a President so stupid that he signed it just because a Botox Queen told him he would have to sign it to learn whats in it. That is not leadership folks that is pure and simple stupidity and like I always say "you can't fix Stupid" but we can vote stupid out of office if we can get enough people that still have brain cells functioning in any type of intelligence what so ever. The House took that first Giant step forward yesterday nd now it is time for the American people to melt down the phone lines to their Senators telling them to vote in favor of the House Bill or they will be unemployed come next election..........jmho

Has anyone ever watched the TV show "Person of Interest"? That is exactly what this boils down to. They will soon be able to scan and sort out 5,000 people walking down a side walk and type one name into the computer and it will find you in that crowd of 5,000 in a matter of seconds. Now like 6.8AR mentioned. It all depends on who is looking and what their intentions are and to if this technology will be good thing or bad thing........jmho -
House plans to vote on de-funding obamacare
bersaguy replied to Wingshooter's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
This is my take on the Affordable Health Care Act and it's credibility. The entire bill was crafted by a complete democratic group of people. They would not let 1 republican in the room during it's creation. It was started on about the 22nd day of December when all but the few Democrats that were creating this monster was on holiday leave. It was completed on Christmas eve at 11:50 PM and the democrats rested and went home for the rest of holiday leave. After the holiday Leave and everyone was back in Washington DC the Botox queen placed the bill she almost need help carrying on the Presidents desk. He ask her what was in it and he exact words were Quote " You have to sign it to learn whats in it" !!!!!! Now any one with any sense at all which does leave Obama out evidently would not have signed it until they knew what was in it but instead he whipped out that rack of pens he likes to used and signed away this country. Since then because he still does not know what is in it he has had to write executive orders on several occasions extending parts of the bill for a year because not only him but most of the Senate could not figure out how to implement a particular part of it until it is fixed. This Bill is going to be more devastating to this country than the sinking of the titanic, Bombing of Pearl Harbor, attack on the country on 9/11 and last two more wars all wrapped up together in this 1100 page bill...........The only thing good that can come from this bill would be it's de-funding that would save our country from total and complete bankruptcy............jmho -
Al I know is he called his gun Betsey and I think it was flintlock but probably could research it and find out ...............jmho

I don't know if it would be legal or not but might get you a few guns. Only danger I see in that would be receiving stolen guns and being charged with Receiving and concealing stolen property. There is no way to run numbers on guns this day in time without the man coming to your home to take from you the guns you paid money for and giving you nothing in return. They may not arrest you for having it if you tell them you honestly purchased it but you will still be out the investment........jmho
-
I don't think you can buy the guns that are traded for the groceries. It is a police thing and they say that all of the weapons are destroyed. I'm betting the police run the numbers on the guns and find many of them are stolen. I saw results of the one they held here in Nashville last year and guns some worth 300.00 to 500.00 were being traded for 50.00 worth of groceries. If any were not stolen you can bet the cops now own them...........Only a person that is totally stupid will turn in a 500.00 legal gun for 50 bucks in groceries............jmho

I think I mentioned some of this in previous posts. Obama began giving litmus tests to many of his highest ranking personnel in all branches of our military and he ended up relieving them of their duty as the head of any commands because he found out they would not order their troops to fire upon American people on American Soil just because he told them to. He also made enemies of all the troops by not letting them all that were out of country not vote in last election. He began alienating himself from our military as far back as his speech he made at West point shortly after taking office in his first term. He made the statement that (close quote) " I think that since we have a fully voluntary military I think that they should also volunteer to pay for their own medical expenses for injuries sustained during battle in war." You could hear a pin drop in that auditorium when he said that and you can imagine what those soldiers at West point academy were thinking almost immediately. I think that night and that speech put him on a down hill slide that he has not yet and will never recover back from. So as far as him being able to depend on our Military to take a stance against the American people and standing beside him are slim to none at best................jmho

I was kinda thinking the same thing. I think this has been blown totally out of proportion and don't really know why but I'm sure someone will tell me after this post. folks Starbucks is not the first business to post or consider posting a gun free zone sign in their place of business yet we myself included in a limited capacity have blown this news totally out of proportion. I have gotten over it because like I said I cannot afford to buy coffee there to begin with but for those of you that are customers of Starbucks that can and have taken offense it's like I said before, if you like their products that well go through the drive up window , buy your products and just move on with it. I'm sure this is not the first business that you have done business with that has posted their doors as Gun free zones and it won't be the last, as I am quite sure of that. But now with all of this said, I'm sure in a short time Starbucks just like other businesses have learned that those pieces of paper on their windows will in a short time begin effecting their bottom lines at the end of the day and they will begin coming down and then all they can do is hope that teh customers will come back. I know of two businesses that put the signs up and with in two weeks removed them as they began to see less and less people sitting in their dining areas. Ok now you can begin beating me up..............jmho

Ok nick, I will give you the benefit of the doubt that neither Bush nor Obama are guilty of giving them the power to carry. I will just tell you that according to statistics all released in 2012 all Government agencies that previously had armed personnel in 2008, all of them have more than tripled the amount of armed staff each agency had by May 2012. That was done just the four years Obama was in office. I guess that would explain why all of these agencies along with Homeland Security had to order over 120 million rounds of ammunition during that same time period huh?
