  1. I don't think you can buy the guns that are traded for the groceries. It is a police thing and they say that all of the weapons are destroyed. I'm betting the police run the numbers on the guns and find many of them are stolen. I saw results of the one they held here in Nashville last year and guns some worth 300.00 to 500.00 were being traded for 50.00 worth of groceries. If any were not stolen you can bet the cops now own them...........Only a person that is totally stupid will turn in a 500.00 legal gun for 50 bucks in groceries............jmho
  2.     I think I mentioned some of this in previous posts. Obama began giving litmus tests to many of his highest ranking personnel in all branches of our military and he ended up relieving them of their duty as the head of any commands because he found out they would not order their troops to fire upon American people on American Soil just because he told them to. He also made enemies of all the troops by not letting them all that were out of country not vote in last election. He began alienating himself from our military as far back as his speech he made at West point shortly after taking office in his first term. He made the statement that (close quote) " I think that since we have a fully voluntary military I think that they should also volunteer to pay for their own medical expenses for injuries sustained during battle in war." You could hear a pin drop in that auditorium when he said that and you can imagine what those soldiers at West point academy were thinking almost immediately. I think that night and that speech put him on a down hill slide that he has not yet and will never recover back from. So as far as him being able to depend on our Military to take a stance against the American people and standing beside him are slim to none at best................jmho
  3. I was kinda thinking the same thing. I think this has been blown totally out of proportion and don't really know why but I'm sure someone will tell me after this post. folks Starbucks is not the first business to post or consider posting a gun free zone sign in their place of business yet we myself included in a limited capacity have blown this news totally out of proportion. I have gotten over it because like I said I cannot afford to buy coffee there to begin with but for those of you that are customers of Starbucks that can and have taken offense it's like I said before, if you like their products that well go through the drive up window , buy your products and just move on with it. I'm sure this is not the first business that you have done business with that has posted their doors as Gun free zones and it won't be the last, as I am quite sure of that. But now with all of this said, I'm sure in a short time Starbucks just like other businesses have learned that those pieces of paper on their windows will in a short time begin effecting their bottom lines at the end of the day and they will begin coming down and then all they can do is hope that teh customers will come back. I know of two businesses that put the signs up and with in two weeks removed them as they began to see less and less people sitting in their dining areas.  Ok now you can begin beating me up..............jmho
  4. Ok nick, I will give you the benefit of the doubt that neither Bush nor Obama are guilty of giving them the power to carry. I will just tell you that according to statistics all released in 2012 all Government agencies that previously had armed personnel in 2008, all of them have more than tripled the amount of armed staff each agency had by May 2012. That was done just the four years Obama was in office. I guess that would explain why all of these agencies along with Homeland Security had to order over 120 million rounds of ammunition during that same time period huh?
  5. Salted caramel mocha frappuccino............ :yuck: :yuck: :puke: .   that sounds like a laxative I saw advertised on TV commercial the other day................
  6. I am going to write Lamar and tell him I'm voting for Joe Carr. Would love to be fly on the wall in his office when he reads my email................
  7. Gosh there is something else I was not aware of. I didn't know Tennessee started requiring drug tests to get welfare and food stamps???????? Has anyone heard anything about it or has it not kicked in yet???? I have been wishing they would have began that years ago before these scumbags broke TennCare because about 50% or more would get booted off the Freebee train....jmho
  8.   Thing is most folks won't vote  for a third party candidate 99% of the time and they end up getting just enough votes to put a RINO back in office. All a third party Candidate does is make folks undecided in most cases.........jmho
  9. Well, there has been a lot of different weapons mentioned and all of them have their place and time for use for sure. My self I think the Tennessee choice should be any model Barrett for several reasons beginning with the fact that they were designed in Tennessee, are made in Tennessee, Have the farthest sniper kills on record to date and there is nothing negative anyone can say about them.............jmho
  10.   So ok, now we might know a little bit more about who was in front of who but still does not explain trying to fix stupid. Two people are still dead over one not driving fast enough to please the other and still only one side of the story and still ashame that two people are dead..........jmho
  11. Not that was surely needed right now for sure..............
  12. Well I didn't vote for corker the first time because I knew he was a weasel so I didn't vote that part of the ballot. I'm not planning on voting for Alexander this time or Corker next time regardless.........jmho
  13. I just wrote my Corker and Alexander and told them that if they don't vote in line with the GOP on de-funding the Affordable Care Act and stand behind them and voting with them on the budget discussions that I will make it my point to do my best to be sure neither one of them get re-elected starting with my vote. I think it's time any of ya'll that have not wrote yet, it's time. Also if any of you folks know folks outside Tennessee contact them and ask them to write their elected officials and tell them the same thing. I think the American people are finally beginning to get their point across and they seem to now be listening so it's time to begin hammering our points home.............jmho
  14. well, I'm not going to ever say they won't get my guns but I will say this. I will not go silently into the night and they will remove them from cold dead clammy hands when they do because I have no plans of just inviting them in to take them............jmho
  15.   All that be said to that is "stupid is as stupid does" and one thing is for sure.........."you can't fix stupid"
  16. I say they keep the limit where it is and let Obama figure out how to cover that crazy spending binge he seems to be on. Make him account for every dollar he has spent over the last year. Then maybe, just maybe we can find out where our tax dollars are going since they don't seem they are being spent on helping Americans lives improve. Lets see how much money he is sneaking to the Muslim Brotherhood that could better be spent on things for Americans...........jmho
  17. I don't know about anyone else but I figured out early in the original read that it was a fight over custody and  a "who's your daddy" issue when it was discussed about the child's last name. Why the judge even got involved in the child's first name is beyond my comprehension but it did. Now with that said  I am glad to hear a judge got it corrected. Not it will be up to the "time will tell situation" as to how long it will take for this child to either hate his parents for his name or how long it takes his name to drive him to suicide over all the bullying he is going to receive from it. I hope he grows up tough cause he is going to need it..........jmho
  18. I just wanted to add that this thread has really turned in a gas............jmho
  19. I don't drive fast anymore and I have never had a issue with someone getting mad an me for driving 10 mph under the posted speed limits on 4 lane highways and I do drive the posted speed on all two lane streets.  Taking into consideration that it took place in Michigan is not surprising since I have found that most people up there are always in a hurry to get somewhere and are somewhat rude drivers in many cases but not all times. the deaths are a shame for dying for such a stupid reason if just road rage was actually the reason. It could be a lot more to it and that still might come out. It could have been something that took place between these two people prior to that morning.....jmho
  20. Has anyone paid attention to the fact that the NRA has been almost totally silent on this issue. I guess they are sitting back and gearing up for an assault on Second Amendment in a real fashion from someone with any type of clout to speak up. They may also be sitting back watching all the anti-gunners like Fienstein and others make fools of them selves with out the help of the NRA...........jmho
  21.   I think you may be in the same line of thinking as most of America. If shutting down our Government means killing the health care act I can deal with that also.
  22. That was really cool for sure.......... :woohoo: :woohoo:
  23. In all reality I don't think Starbucks really wants to post a no gun signs. They just had an interview with one of the top dogs of Starbucks on Greta show on Fox and the guy said that they don't want people that carry guns to stop coming to their stores and if you wear a gun we want you to still come in and buy our products. I think they don't really want to do this and I don't understand why they have even brought it up while they are being so undecided about it. In all reality in may have been something they were or are considering and some stupid employee let it leak out. You all know it;s almost impossible to keep anything a secret in Corporate America these days.........jmho
  24. Well tanker I got to see those documentaries first hand because there was a few times my team was extracted that way in extremely hot zones and one of the door gunners from one of those huey's lives just down the road from me and it was his huey that extracted my team 3 different times. we talk daily and have dinner together once a week at least. I know a few folks mentioned that movie  "We were Soldiers" and Qui Trang Valley battle. I knew one of those gun ship pilots in that real battle and his name wasEd (too tall) Freeman and when the Medivac Choppers were ordered not to go back in to pick up wounded because the area was to hot and one had got shot down. Freeman and two other Huey gunships refused to stop flying and they carried in ammo and carried out wounded and even when Freeman was shot 4 times he still flew 7 more missions back in while he was all shot up before that battle finally turned around. He didn't learn until about 9 hours after he was in the hospital that on his next to last trip in he flew his own wounded son out. He didn't even know his son was in that battle until his nurse mentioned that it was odd to have two patients named Freeman at the same time and he was wheeled over to find out it was his son. Mr Freeman flew in Korea and Vietnam. Your right about them being very brave men but a few folks said they are just plain crazy.......That is what war is and that is what true heroes do in war.
  25. Man I am watching Hannity right now the Democrats are screaming Fowl because the house has finally decided to let Teaparty Freshman Congress men and women vote on the budget and the Affordable Care Act. They are planning to vote for funding the Government and de-funding Obama care in one vote. This is going to get really ugly for sure because the House is going to be rocking and rolling..........All I can say is Obama should have read it before he signed it.............jmho
