  1. No one "throws in" anything. There's no such thing as free.
  2. In old school pews I've heard the distinct clunk of a pistol knocking against the wood when they've sat down near me.
  3. Do not the instructors have to be certified to be instructors? There's really no independent interpretation of the law...unless you're a corrupt judge of which our society appears to have many.
  4. Yet the burglar in the video was unarmed, IIRC.
  5. Turning to grab something like a weapon was NOT a part of that video that I saw. The message conveyed was that if someone comes into your home uninvited then it was a justified shooting.
  6. I think that you should note that in one of the "training" videos in my HCP class, (which I assume everyone with a HCP had to view), the resident came home to the burglar in his house. Not only could they have backed out of the doorway, they were shown shooting the burglar as he was turning to flee. Yes, we have stand your ground: however, being shot in the back would prove no threat to exist, no?
  7. Sarcasm doesn't translate well when you're trying to work while screwing around on the forum, sorry.   Most people fuss about trying to outlaw common things rather than LE doing their job. I'm one of them. I resent that a cheap and common over-the-counter drug is now relatively expensive, (must have a prescription for it in La Vergne now), and documented when I purchase it because criminals have figured out a way to misuse it. This also plays into the medical establishment since they charge the insurance and co-pays for the office visit/prescription. In this case buying a cell phone in-and-of itself is not suspicious: however, buying 60 for anyone, (regardless of color), would be. Although it isn't illegal it's certainly suspicious: therefore, the authorities should be made aware so that they can actually determine whether a crime is going to be committed or not.
  8. So all they need do is put a limit on the number of cell phones one can buy and problem solved?   EDIT: BTW, this was in Missouri; not Tennessee, no?
  9. What law do you break when you buy ___ number of pseudoephedrine?
  10. Eeeeewwwwww!
  11. Yes, don't "fap" your pistol in public!
  12. Eaten alive is really not accurate. An alligator tends to drag its victim down to drown it before consuming it. Anyway, I just think Karma's a bitch, and I don't feel sorry for him at all.
  13. But his crime, (allegedly), was burglary. Our state laws declare him an imminent threat when he's in the home, but is he really?
  14. Pretty much, I no longer care if I'm printing. The vast majority of the people don't notice.
  15. My present to myself is a Sig P320 9mm! :)
  16. So if a burglar enters your home you'll just let him go?
  17. Why you get out as fast as you can. :)
  18. We left Liberty Mutual for Erie insurance on our house, car, truck, and fifth wheel. Annual savings is $2,048. :)
  19. I recommend that you have a gunsmith drift it for you. The gunsmith at Guns & Leather has a range where he can align and test for accuracy. Then if you still hit left you know it's you, and you don't risk damaging your sights.
  20. I'd think that a better place for this question would be in the women's forum for more female visibility/feedback, but having just taken my sisters out shopping for new pistols I'd say it's more about the individual feel of the gun in their hands when they are beginners. I took my sisters out to shoot 9mm and .40 in small pistol sizes so that they could judge the round before the touchy-feely stuff. When I took them to the gun stores they were more into the feel and weight of the weapon in their hands more than anything else. They each ended up getting Ruger LC9's because of the aforementioned and because the frames were colored purple and raspberry.
  21. http://www.chiefsupply.com/tufloc-gun-racks-and-mount-trunk-mount.html   Why not something like this for your trunk? They also have mounts for trucks.
  22. I had the Ameriglo Operators on my M&) and really liked them. Big bright color dot surrounding the Trijicon were great!
  23. I think you should have just said Liberty students. Calling out specifically "conservative" even though they may be a mostly conservative group is what was out of line. Many Christian kids go where their Christian parents will pay for the education rather than the college of their choice, and they are far from conservative their selves. Many kids play a game until they are out on their own.
  24. Although CommsNBombs is correct about not taking on the terrorists with a handgun, you still have to plan towards having to fight your way out because you may not have a choice. I have been standardizing on 9mm because the Glock 20's finger grooves don't fit my hand, but now I'm considering the .357 Sig. The very day that this shooting happened I picked up my Sig P320 in 9mm. Now I'm thinking of getting a caliber conversion kit for my existing P320c to convert it to a P320 .357 Sig. My thought is that a double tap to the chest with a couple of .357 rounds will stun enough through a vest to follow up with a shot to the head.
  25. So you hurl an insult and then declare that you won't discuss it further. Nice. Childish, but nice. But you have it all figured out, right? LOL!
