  1. No, I just tried to shoot it today.
  2. Years ago I bought a CMMG AR-15 from Outpost Armory. When I got to the range I had to drift the rear sight all the way to the left stop to get the danged thing to hit paper at 100 yards. Inspection of the weapon yielded no clues as to why it was this way. The front sight post looked to be un-canted and the barrel straight. I called Outpost Armory and got the "You'll have to contact CMMG about it" response. I ended up taking it in the butt to trade it in on a Sig DMR.   Fast forward to just before last Christmas. I went to Outpost Armory looking for a 9mm carbine. I looked at a Beretta Storm and the Taurus. Neither of them really blew my skirt up because they seemed weakly made, so the "manager" who was helping me suggested the 9mm  AR-15 platform. He showed me the 9mm that they had in stock, and when I saw that it was a CMMG I told him of my last experience with CMMG. The dude gave me the "I'm shocked" response, and how CMMG has excellent weapons in his experience, and how I must have gotten the one-off rifle. I thought that keeping the same platform of which I was totally familiar was the smart thing to do, so in a moment of stupidity I listened to the dude and decided to give CMMG another try.   This morning, time, money, schedule, weather, and memory came together so that I could finally take the 9mm out to shoot it for the first time I happily loaded up my magazine with some HST ammo, stepped up to the firing line, chambered a round, raised the rifle into my shoulder, pulled the trigger and heard "click"! I thought "IDIOT! You short stroked the charging handle! So I cycled the bolt which ejected a round. Hum, I must have had a bad round, so I went through the process again just to hear another "Click!"   I looked at both primers to find absolutely no evidence of a firing pin strike at all. I removed the bolt and depressed the firing pin with the flat edge of a key to find the firing pin nowhere near the back side of the bolt face. You'd think that for $1,000 CMMG would sell a rifle that actually worked. Well, "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." There will not be a third time!   I guess that first thing on Monday morning I'll hear about how I'll need to spend the money to send the rifle to CMMG and wait for them to fix it. :(
  3. Although I get what you're saying I'm kind of an all or nothing kind of a guy, and I think the Constitution pretty much went bye-bye before this battle. The Constitution has been trampled in so many ways since it was ratified, (by all branches of the government), and I think that many that are in power today would like to throw out the entire thing unless it suits their purpose.   Oh, and you left off the artillery barrage that missed it's target when Lee assumed otherwise.
  4. I drove right past it on I-65 on Father's Day, so easy to find. My FIL thinks their the greatest, but I've never been in one.
  5. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't mean you're correct.
  6. Back in the day I would have informed had I known, and my staff was instructed to inform. Doctors tend to not concern themselves with the insurance.   As far as regulations are concerned you'll find no friend of insurance companies in me. Free market here is complete BS. As an example, (and remember, there's no negotiation involved), I had patients who worked in claims departments for insurance companies. Cigna, (to name one), would hand out a stack of claims each morning, and if you didn't get through them by the end of your shift they just canned them and deny receipt if the doctor's office called to ask where their money was. Sometimes they'd do it repeatedly until their deadline passes, (usually 90 days from date of service), and then they'd deny your claim as untimely.
  7. It's not exactly "negotiated" in that a healthcare provider agrees to the insurance's level of payment when they agree to become an "In network" provider. Out of network providers take what the insurance pays and then you pay the rest.
  8. If they don't put up gun-buster signs I'm ok with it. The statement highlighted above states their mindset, however. Besides, I want a reason to NOT have to be dragged into Target by you know who. :)
  9. As opposed to a French company located in....? :)
  10. "Starting today we will... respectfully request that guests not bring firearms to Target—even in communities where it is permitted by law."
  11. So perhaps they'll change their corporate logo to a vagina now? http://www.nbcnews.com/business/consumer/bullseye-target-takes-aim-gun-owners-bars-firearms-stores-n146441   Bullseye: Target Takes Aim at Gun Owners, Bars Firearms in Stores Target, whose logo is a bullseye, doesn't want gun-owners bringing firearms into its stores -- even where it is legal to carry. Interim CEO John Mulligan sent a note to employees to outline the retailer's policy on the "open carry" of firearms in stores, according to the company's blog Abullseyeview.com. "Starting today we will... respectfully request that guests not bring firearms to Target—even in communities where it is permitted by law." Individual states allow residents to carry concealed handguns with varying restrictions and permit requirements. Mulligan said in the note that bringing firearms to Target "creates an environment that is at odds with the family-friendly shopping and work experience we strive to create."
  12. Surprising how much gas came out of the gap. That was cool!
  13. I'm carrying my TGO knife today. ya'll know what it looks like. :)
  14. Good luck to you, Joe.
  15. What if we blanketed the region with neutron bombs?   Anyone can play what ifs.
  16. Umm, BLT.
  17. Reminder: Democrat administrations have a history of going after what they deem as "Religious Right Wing" groups even to the point of setting them up by selling them a shotgun just barely under the legal length.
  18. Don't know what part of middle Tennessee you are in, but I have a Delta drill press.
  19. I smell Waco.
  20. Reviews that I've read for the Truglow fiber/Tritium sights have been pretty poor. Biggest dig is that they use metal injection molding making them a weak base for the other materials. I went with the AmeriGlo I-Dot: http://www.ameriglo.net/catalog/sights/pistol-sights/glock/night-sights/complete-sets/i-dot
  21. So why go to the trouble of blocking out their license plate?
  22. No, it's looking for confirmation of guilt. If you answer, "Yes, officer, I'm sorry for _____." then it'll be used against you in traffic court. Like revenue collectors traffic judges are concerned with such things,
  23. I saw a couple of Kiowas flying East the other day.
  24. Are the aircraft black? :)
