  1. In many case production is spread out. There is Gibson and Epiphone factories here in Nashville. There are other factories in Asia as well.
  2. I'd say they're wrong. In the interest of total disclosure, my wife works for Gibson in the corporate office. The big difference is that Epiphone is designed for mass production which makes it easy to fix. Gibson has the parts custom fit. I don't know if I think the difference is important to me when it comes to price, but there's a reason that you see more Gibsons on TV than Epiphones.
  3. They're certainly proud of their knives. Whew!!!
  4. Horses are expensive; a bullet is cheap.
  5. I've thought about that before when I was a LEO. Of course, I've thought of other things too like how violations of our freedom of speech are commonplace in our courts across the country. An example is the young woman who wore a vulgar, (in the judge's opinion, and to be fair, in my opinion as well), T-shirt in the court's gallery and got jailed for contempt of court. It seems like if the government is mostly ok with it and it only affects a small number of people at one time then it's all good. But in this case it's the very court who upholds the rules that violates them. I guess the founding fathers didn't think of that, because they wrote no modifier for the courts in the 1st, nor did they put a check in place to control the courts.
  6. I had one; didn't keep it long. It seems that the triggers are hit or miss. My 9c had a better trigger.
  7. Absolutely! Were there imposters sitting on that bench?
  8. So? A scenario is just a scenario. Last year was left wing; this year right wing. I would expect them to train for all contingencies.
  9. I once ate a sunflower seed that was rotten; should I no longer eat sunflower seeds?   There are dicks in EVERY profession.
  10. Based on what I've read this guy is toast. Laying on the ground with a 17 year old bashing your head into the concrete is a great deal different then a 17 year old mouthing off to you from inside a vehicle. Absent the presence of a gun being displayed, this cat had no threat to him. He should have walked away. Of course the defense is going to parade a bunch of witnesses in front of the jury who all say what a great and calm guy he is, but it doesn't change the facts.
  11. A bankruptcy attorney? Dude was 74...not like he was just starting out; he was retired.
  12. A lot better than pink!!!
  13. Since you were asking for a critique, the website has a problem. On IE it's showing me a string of what looks like commands/code in the upper right ending with "Double-click to start typing" below it.   EDIT: I will also add that one button with "Click" written on it has the "k" wrapped below the "Clic" portion of the word. This seems like this is common with safe companies, but why no prices listed? I happen to be interested in a gun safe, and this frustrates me.
  14. Because bankruptcy lawyers make a lot of enemies???
  15. Mike Gideon just helped me finish mine. It's a 16" that I have yet to shoot. Now I'm working on loading rounds. :)
  16. My condolences. I feel your pain having lost my mother too soon.
  17. I have no doubt the average person would not suspect a danger either. I can guess that the "parents" might have not recognized what was going on at first, but they dang-sure should have done something when the child exhibited signs of a problem.   I also don't believe the 2.4 liters thing either. My guess is that it's an estimate since there was certainly fluid loss from the child before the autopsy.
  18. As a former LEO of the 90's and IIRC, I believe that the courts determined that flashing of the lights to warn of police ahead was protected speech.   I find some of the comments on here a bit humorous because MANY LEO's, Prosecutors, Judges, Mayors, etc, would speed their butts off. They would be all about us writing citizens for traffic violations, and you can walk into just about every traffic court in the US and easily determine that the judge was nothing more than a revenue collector, and not at all concerned about whether the accused was actually innocent. In most places traffic violations are infractions: therefore, they don't worry about guilt or innocence, or even if the LEO is lying his/her ass off. If it was really about safety there would be studies performed to establish a need for such things as a speed limit for a particular stretch of road, and there'd be more tickets written for stupid things people do like transport loads that are not secured.
  19. ANYTHING in excess is toxic for the body.
  20. I have a five year old granddaughter, and I just can't imagine someone doing that to her. Yes, a special kind of punishment should be given to those that harm children.
  21. Lucille Ball was a looker back in the day, so I guess it'd be how she "came back" so to speak. :)
  22. Ooo, they should argue separation of church and state on this one! :)
  23. Not true: They could have simply passed a law prohibiting an employer from searching an employee's vehicle.
  24. Eeeeewwww!
