  1. The stupid things that people do to throw away millions of dollars always amazes me.
  2. You should have a choice of: It's a huge was of money that'll derive very little benefit similar to how it was with going to the moon.
  3. I seem to recall a shooting in a doctor's office not too long ago, and one in a chiropractor's office in Chattanooga as well.
  4. Yeah, I'm going to hand him the keys if I win too. Semper Fi!

    So I am torn!

I've owned both and I'd never own another P220.

If you are going for a CC 1911 I highly recommend getting one with a bobbed mainspring. Those make one heck of a difference. I have one with my Kobra Karry, and I can wear it with a crossbreed supertuck all day long without problems.
  7. House GOP Nominates Harwell For Speaker - Nashville News Story - WSMV Nashville Republicans have elected Green Hills-area Rep. Beth Harwell of Nashville as their nominee for House speaker. Harwell, who would become Tennessee's first female speaker if elected by the full chamber in January, defeated House Republican Caucus Chairman Glen Casada of Franklin on Thursday. "She will be one of the best speakers the state has ever had," Casada said of Harwell. Republicans this month picked up 14 seats in the lower chamber of the General Assembly to give them a 64-34 advantage over Democrats. Tea party groups and gun rights groups heavily backed Casada because Harwell is viewed by them as a moderate. She has, in the past, focused less on social issues and voted against guns in bars. It's a vote she explained as following the will of her constituents. The solid majority makes it less likely that Democrats would be able to thwart the GOP nominee again like they did in 2008 by electing Republican Rep. Kent Williams as speaker. Williams was stripped of his Republican credentials for the maneuver, though he was easily re-elected as an independent. He has announced he won't seek another term as speaker. As far as working with Democrats, Harwell said she doesn't see it as a necessity, with 64 Republicans in the House. "The reality is we do not need a single Democratic vote to do anything on the House floor," said Harwell. So what can be expected from Harwell as speaker? She was co-chair of Gov.-elect Bill Haslam's campaign, so the two would be expected to work well together. Her comments after the fact focused less on social issues and more on the big issue: the economy. "We have an economy that needs repair. We want to focus on the job creation and building an environment that is conducive to job creation in the state of Tennessee," Harwell said.
  8. I've seen him talk about it on TV, and the dude can't even profess his innocense with a straight face.
  9. It's not like they post a log - particularly of UC cops.
  10. That might be useful if he only had one cousin.
  11. There is all sorts of crap in our environment that is killing us, and there's nothing we can do about, so why worry about it unless it really kills you fast?
  12. Not that it's a bad thing, but that's like stepping up to drink koolaid in a cult.
  13. If they started that it'd be a Donnybrook of people telling on each other. They'd be throwing everyone but the rookies in jail.
  14. Happy birthday Marines. Semper Fi!
  15. You'll have to prove that one for me Fallguy. Nowhere have I seen that differentiation in the law.
  16. That really depends on how it's done. Declaring it unlawful for an employer to search an employee's automobile can hardly be trumpeted as a gun bill.
  17. NOTE: I was not a police officer in Tennessee, so I really don't know the answer to this. If your car isn't like your home in Tennessee then why is breaking into a car referred to as burglary in this state? Where I'm from it's simply theft and property damage.
  18. You are correct in that they can only inspect my workstation: however, unless you have a dedicated entrance to that space they have to walk through your house to get there. They also cannot "search": however, what they can inspect for leaves room to get into a search. For instance, they can look for customer information that is unsecure.
  19. My email to my representative: I am quite excited about the change in the political landscape yesterday, but I would like to express to you that I in no way would be happy about Rep. Beth Harwell becoming the Speaker of the House as has been suggested by Speaker Williams. As a heavy proponent of the 2nd Amendment I would be quite disappointed seeing her anti-gun beliefs controlling the advancement of gun laws in this state.
  20. Then I think that we should be putting in our two cents early and often.
  21. It isn't likely to EVER happen. It's just the legal department putting their two cents in. But a vehicle in their parking lot is a totally different story. It's not as big a PITA to search your car.
  22. That won't work without it being unlawful for an employer to search. I work from home two days per week, and I had to give my permission for them to come to my house to "inspect" my workspace at their convenience.
  23. Naifeh is like Herpes: You ain't gonna be rid of him until you die.
