  1. You're gonna love carrying this. That bobtailed mainspring housing really makes a difference. I have the Kobra Carry, and it's the most comfortable full/mid-sized gun I've ever carried. My M&P 9mm compact isn't as comfortable!
  2. Can't say that I want to have my HCP suspended based on something someone else said that I said. I don't know why you would. Would you feel that if you were the HCP carrier in question?
  3. Is this the same Martins that was in Franklin? If so, they have an awesome hot BBQ sauce and stuffed baked potatoes. The one in Franklin was sold, and it went down hill from there. Before, we used to drive the 1.75 hour round trip to get their sauce.
  4. Pizza: Pizza Factory in Kansas City, MO BBQ: Famous Dave's (luvs me some Devils Spit on anything meat) General: Cheddars (luvs me their queso with meat and their swirl margaritas) Steak: Logan's Hamburgers: Wendy's Subs: Jersey Mike's Spaghetti: Fazoli's (baked spaghetti w/meat sauce) Asian: Golden Eagle Mongolian BBQ
  5. Megyn Kelly is hotter to me now, and I didn't think that was possible!
  6. I'm not defending him either, and I share your thoughts. I can't imagine being a dummycrat trying to defend their stupidity in their districts, (well, I can't imagine being a dummycrat at all), but I've got to give him credit for being brave enough to try although I question his choice in a place to do so given his accent. I just seems that too many people are just looking for a reason to get pissed nowadays.
  7. My wife would've been laughing at him too, but thanks for being judgemental.
  8. Maybe it takes a woman to catch that threat? I would have been laughing at him.
  9. I didn't catch a threat either, but I wonder if he's been checked for papers since he spoke with heavily accented English.
  10. First, I wouldn't be lying, but if I were lying I wouldn't get pissed about being called on it. And the CBO numbers changing frequently is precisely why I wouldn't take stock of them. As a leader I would rely on information that I had at the time. If the info changes that doesn't make me a liar. But if the information did change I'd be having someone's azz over it.
  11. I haven't read through the entire thread, but has anyone considered that the salesman was lying? This smacks of a pretty lame sales tactic of trying to establish a relationship to the customer by claiming a referal. I would ask the neighbor if he in fact told the salesman that before seeking retribution.
  12. As a former LEO I would remind you that lawyers instruct people not to talk to police: therefore, you should not take it as a personal insult. Not to be construed to mean that I'm talking about you personally: MANY police officers have no problems lying on the witness stand, (or suffer selective memory), to win something as trivial as a traffic ticket, (yes, it's happened to me), so it's no wonder when people make no comments at all. It sucks that life is like that, but because of our society as a whole I would encourage you not to feel insulted when they don't talk.
  13. And just how is this losing his mind? If someone called me a liar I'd get pissed too.
  14. Apparently, Texas is taking this issue up next as well.
  15. I like the calm in the mornings and the beauty of the sunsets, but I really love 4:30 when I get off work.

    CHAT ROOM

On my car forum I started the No Topic thread so that members can get on there and chat away without someone getting their panties in a wad over getting off topic. That thread is still going strong at 4,789 pages, 95,776 replies, and 725,752 views currently.
  18. To paraphrase: He said that he'd require his entire fee up front to pursue such a useless endeavor. The law is clear, so I asked him about the law saying the court had to find it a justified shooting - which to me means a judge declaring it so - and he said that it's an officer of the court ruling, so the prosecuting attorney being an officer of the court ruling it justified is the same thing as a judge doing so: therefore, you are protected from civil suit. It made me satisfied.
  19. I think that the "news" is that there was a court order on this one. Why would the court not be holding the officers in contempt? Answer: It wouldn't generate any revenue for them. Let's face it, orders of protection are only something to make the victim feel better before they become victims.
  20. It's things like this that make some people question why we pay for police services, and why many of us are armed to begin with. I can see both sides of the coin since I was a LEO back in the day.
  21. Back in the day I usually didn't charge someone for simply forgetting their wallet, (heck, I've done the same thing as the OP), but my BS detector was on high when talking to the individual. You can sense by their reaction if they really forgot their wallet or if they were trying to hide something. I'd get full name, (with spelling), date of birth, SSN, and address, and then run them for a match on a DL. If they checked out I would warn them. But I would be fully within the law to write them too. It depends on the LEO.
  22. Yes, it does; which is why the legislature is entertaining measures to prevent this situation. One is outlawing the employer's abilty to search your vehicle. This is because we have some whiners that think their property rights trump your right to live.
  23. I don't know why this would surprise anyone. Mexico has long wanted to infiltrate the US to the point that they can conquer us without firing a shot and turn it into the same kind of :poop:hole they have down there, and the left is good with any help they can get to facilitate it.
  24. It seems reasonable...if you want another Ft. Hood incident.
