I fixed it for you.

From what I heard on the news he's being held responsible because he changed the SOP manual concerning active shooter response from "will" respond to "may" respond. He also has a history of gross mismanagement. I have no problem with the governor throwing him out of office. In this case committing a crime should not be the threshold for removing an incompetent leader as we see it has an incredible effect on the innocent, (not just in this case). We do remove others for less.

If a criminal hasn't devalued his life then why does society execute some?

I have a Delta that's a few years old. It does what needs to be done and the cost was reasonable. I got it at Lowes.

Being placed in the position of having to decide life or death isn't easy and I commend you for posting this. Myself, I came half a trigger pull away on a service revolver from shooting a dumbass drunk with a baseball bat. After he dropped his bat and was taken into custody I became so angry with the guy for putting me in that position that I couldn't even talk with him. Other officers handled it from there. It's pretty darned easy for many people to armchair quarterback a cop. It's another thing to actually do it.

Yes, falling asleep at the wheel of a >60,000 pound missile traveling 70 MPH because you are stretching your limits for money is not the same as having same missile coming at you while you have a car stopped along the highway for speeding. I had my fair share of those close calls when I was a LEO.

I feel ya on this one! I blame a lot of it on "social" media.

Not saying that. But when your competition that you play all season long is abysmal then you naturally look good. When playing Alabama this year the competition looked like pee-wee league playing a so-so college team. The so-so team looked great until they met a good college team. The results are inevitable. I also say this as a casual observer. I don't hold an allegiance to ANY college team.

I agree about polls, but my gut feeling on this one says we'll lose too. The majority of people are not invested in the subject and they want to see SOMETHING done whether it will actually accomplish the mission or not. Heck, I don't know off the top of my head if ANY of the mass shooters got their weapon absent a background check.

The main subject is a sniper. So how many kills has she racked up?

My daughters and oldest granddaughter are Alabama fans. I don't get it because none of them went to the school. For this game I sort of predicted it because all of the match-ups to Alabama this season were so sorry that they made Alabama look good. Yes, that includes UT. In my opinion, Clemson was the first GOOD team that Alabama played all season and it showed.

It snowed in 29 Palms, CA in the winter if 84 IIRC. It was just a dusting over the Interstate that you could still see the fog lines, but the highway patrol shut down the Interstate. I guess folks in the southern California desert can't handle ANY snow.

Because when it rains it pours! Bullet's that is.

Steve Dickerson (R-Nashville) to Introduce Red Flag Bill

The problem is it's a broad term being used to diagnose a broad condition that can potentially be severe. My PTSD is minor compared to other people's PTSD, and it expresses itself accordingly -

The VA has repeatedly asked me if I have symptoms of PTSD. I refuse to answer each and every time. -
I find that all Sig mags are difficult on the last one. It does get easier with time.

Trump administration moves to ban bump stocks
E4 No More replied to The Legion's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I think they'll see how many people turn them in for free first and then do some sort of buy-back. I have no dog in this fight but think of the poor schmuck that owns one and doesn't keep up with the news. One day he finds out the hard way that he's been declared a criminal for doing nothing wrong. -

I believe that wouldn't fly, and that they have to pay fair market value just like they must do when they take your property under eminent domain. -

If the guns were in the suspect's home and there's no way to secure them then yes, but by your logic, (unless I'm misunderstanding you), they could confiscate everyone's guns because someone, somewhere says they were going to steal a gun from someone, somewhere whether be it a relative, neighbor, or stranger. Heck, that includes cops considering how many times they lose their weapons either due to negligence or in a fight. And let me ask this: Do you know what your kids are thinking all of the time? I know that I don't. Most parents don't even entertain the idea that their kid can be homicidal even after the kid has killed let alone before. The parent has to be made aware and allowed a remedy on their own first. -

You may be jumping to conclusions about the relative. You assume the relative is a parent, but I think if it was a parent they would have said so; not just say a relative. To put it this way, what if the relative was uncle Bennie who has no idea his nephew planned to assist in the killings by stealing his guns? Do you police have the right to go seize uncle Bennie's guns because the nephew planned to steal them? If so, what keeps them from seizing every relative's guns and even friends? -
