Its not that I don't like it, its just impractical for me. I don't have the luxury of shooting on private land. I have to go to my club range where there are usually other people shooting non-suppressed firearms. I still have to wear ear protection. So what's the point? Besides cleaning the thing is a real PITA. So I don't bother to get it dirty.

I spoke to my younger son about it and he completely understands. Most likely it'll end up with the BATF. At that point I won't care anyway. Since its not worth much and doesn't take up much room in the safe, I've decided to just keep it. Who knows, maybe someday the zombies will come?

I tried calling a couple of the places Capbyrd mentioned. Nobody is very interested and the folks at Arms Fair said that they would buy it, but I had to pay the transfer fee. WTF! Now I regret ever buying the damned thing. I'll make the situation known to my sons and they can deal with it however they want. Including surrendering it.

Well hell, I was hoping to get more for it. I don't know. I need to think about it. Maybe I'll just tell the boys that if they don't want it, just surrender it to BATF.

This is my only Class III item. Honestly, I'm not sure just how to go about selling it. That's why I was asking for the name of a dealer. Capbyrd: Can we really sell this legally between two individuals? Just how does that work? As for my sons, both are shooters and gun owners. But neither is into it like I am. Neither wants to own the suppressor and while the transfer may be easy, its a lot of hassle and time involved to get the few hundred it would bring by one of them by selling it. I just want to save them the trouble. I bought this back in 2011. A good friend of mine had just gotten his Class III SOT added to his FFL. Honestly, I bought it on a whim trying to help my friend get established as a Class III dealer. While it was fun at first, the thrill wore off pretty quickly. I haven't used it in years. That's why I'm considering selling. The maker, Long Range Precision, was just trying to get started in the Class III business with suppressors and AOW shotguns. They offered these items to my friend at great prices. Unfortunately, they didn't make it and soon folded. A couple of you have asked, so here's the details: Maker: Long Range Precision Model: Ghost Caliber: .22LR K baffle design 1" diameter 1/2 " X 28 threads. Very early production with a single digit serial number: LRPG000X It works extremely well. On my 10-22 I can hear the bolt cycle. I've fired about 200-300 rounds through it. I'm hoping to get $250-300 for it. Do y'all think that would be a fair price?

I'm thinking about selling my .22 cal suppressor. I very rarely use it, absolutely hate cleaning it and don't want my sons burdened by it if something happens to me. Its an off brand. Small company was trying to get started and offered them at a very good price. But they failed and the dealer I got it from has since retired. Who's the best dealer in Memphis to move this for me?

My guess is that you're using the wrong holster. And the dress belt is completely wrong. A proper concealment holster and a good gun belt to support it can make even large guns disappear.

Well this is interesting. I called Beretta today about dating the Jetfire. They tell me their records don't go back that far. All they can say is that it was made somewhere between 1970 & 1987. Geez, you'd think a gun company would keep better records.

Garufa: I already tried that. Serial number wouldn't come up. Also tried several other place around the net. No joy. I guess I'll give Beretta a call sometime next week. BTW: the seller was wrong. Its not an antique. I've found that its a U.S. made gun. Its the 950BS model with a manual safety. I'll admit I sorta have a thing for mouse guns. I'm really liking the little Jetfire. I've been curious about the Tomcat for years. Always wanted to try one. But its a little bigger than it looks. Not really a mouse gun, more of a pocket pistol. But I am looking forward to shooting it. I had a Model 84 once. That's the double stack Cheetah. Great gun! I really liked it and always regretted selling it. But at the time I needed the money. I'm sure all of you know how that goes. I'm guessing the 85 will be just as good. Between the weather and a few other things I've got going, I have no idea when I'll get them to the range. But I am looking forward to it.

I'll admit that I'm bragging here a bit. But I'm happy about this buy. I've never even bought two guns in the same day, much less three. But I did just that today. It all started with some ads on Armslist. The guy listed each gun individually, but then there was a 4th ad for them as a group. I contacted him, we haggled and I believe I got a great deal. All three are Berettas. a 2016 85FS Cheetah .380, a 2001 3032 Tomcat .32acp and a 950BS Jetfire .25acp. All three are LNIB with original manuals. Not a mark on any of them. I can't seem to find a date for the Jetfire. No date code on the gun that I can find and the serial # doesn't come up on any list. The guy said it was an antique. Can anybody help with that? I'll probably have to contact Beretta. The best part? I gave $1000 for the lot. I'm tickled plumb to pieces!

Yes, the last round does lock the bolt open. I also recently added an angled fore grip to it. When you start dumping 32 round mags through it, the handguard does tend to get a might warm.

I have an Extar EP9 and consider it to be the best value in a AR type 9mm out there. CLICK HERE Its not quite a true AR as it is a blowback action and the charging handle is on the side. But many standard AR parts drop right in. You can't buy these in gun stores. You have to order it directly from Extar and they'll ship it to your FFL. The best part is that the price with shipping comes to $439.00 I haven't shot it a whole lot. But so far, mine has been very reliable with all ammo I've tried. Shove a 32 round mag in it and its a hoot! Truthfully, I just consider it a range toy. If the SHTF I have other guns that I'd go for. I've only had two minor issues with it. Aftermarket magazines needed to be lightly sanded on the sides in order to drop free. If jammed in hard, mags can go in a little too far and block the bolt. I just insert the mag and give it a slight pull and everything is fine. Here's mine after I got it all decked out. Even with the extras, I still have less in it than I would buying a similar pistol from a name maker. BTW: Extar has plans to make these in .45acp & 10mm also. But right now they're so swamped with orders for the 9mm that the other calibers are on indefinite hold.

OUCH! I was looking at the barrel and stock. Didn't even notice the rear sight. No way I'd touch that thing. The stock seems to be the style from about the 1960s. So this was probably a case of sporterizing a cheap surplus rifle which was quite common in those days. Many classic rifles fell victim to that trend. Although we cringe at the idea now, It made perfect sense back then. I noticed that the ad is still active and the price is down to $350. I guess if it gets cheap enough, somebody will eventually buy it.

There are 3 that I carry regularly depending on what I'm doing and how I dress. Colt Commander .45acp S&W 642 .38 Special Colt Mustang XSP .380acp. However, every now and then I get a wild hair and might carry anything from a .25acp to a .45 Colt just for the Hell of it.

Ok, now I understand. As stated, you never know how other people will react to seeing a gun. I can certainly see management's desire to keep some snowflake from freaking out in their establishment. In this case, I think they did the right thing.

When I check it, the pro side is 46%. But then I realized that the number of votes was the same as yesterday. Kinda makes you wonder?

A couple of years ago, my then GF and I went to visit a friend of her's living just outside of a small coastal town in northern Florida. We had taken the GF's dog along as well. About 10:00 pm I went to take the dog for a walk so he could take care of business before bedtime. As I was about to leave, the friend said "Be careful, the bears have been troublesome and raiding garbage cans of late". Oh swell! And all I had brought along was my little Colt Mustang .380. Not my first choice against a black bear. But then I realized the small, but extremely bright LED flashlight in my hand had a strobe feature. I decided that that would be the better weapon in the event of a bear encounter. Hopefully, the strobe would confuse and scare the critter into going away. Fortunately, I never had to find out. But I still like the idea and carry that flashlight whenever I go camping or hiking. I'd really like to test my theory. But I will be carrying a gun just in case.
