Though I agree with most on here, I'll play devil's advocate. Isn't government money OUR money? So if you borrow from the government, you are only borrowing your own money. :dropjaw:

I had seen these, and except for a flooding issue, feel this is better than above ground: https://tornadotoughshelters.com/storm-shelters/under-garage The damage I have seen with some of these tornadoes, I would not feel comfortable having vehicles tossed around like matchboxes while I'm in a box above ground.

While a dirty bomb may be a major psychological attack, the damage will be minor. But a chemical attack may prove to be more easily accomplished: http://www.militarytimes.com/story/military/2015/08/21/isis-used-mustard-gas-makhmour-against-kurds/32116637/

I like it, but feel your opinion is but a whisper in a hurricane. And while I do feel there are areas that can be addressed from the outside, it will not get better unless its addressed by those on the inside. Until those like you get a foothold and voice their opinion loudly and continuously it will never get better. Inner city minorities need to come to the realization that they need to work together to better their life and quit preying upon themselves. Many times I hear law abiding minorities living in fear because drug dealers and gangs have taken over their community, but only a few, taking their life in their hands, speak out against them. And even when a minority rises to a position where they can affect their fellow minority's living conditions they do not, instead blaming others for it. I mean when politicians actively court gangs to get elected, there is more of a problem than many realize.

And that is not all, look at the revenue for some of these collegiate sports colleges; that is why some students organizations sued to try and tap into some of that money.

The ones that get me are the ones that are more than capable of paying but don't for what ever reason: http://abcnews.go.com/Health/doctor-owes-government-thousands-dollars-unpaid-student-loans/story?id=26376289 These are the people that need to have their taxes garnished and summons issued.

As I see it, what you said about your cousin is the problem. Many kids choose to go to certain colleges due to their party status ranking, not their educational ranking. I have no sympathy for the ones that squander the opportunity partying and end up in debt. Though I honestly feel education today is overrated, it does you no good if you take courses in basket weaving expecting to find a job afterwards. I got lucky, all three of my kids have their Masters and are using their education in their profession. While I helped some, they had to secure loans, grants and scholarships to graduate. There was no way I could afford two in Vanderbilt at the same time on military pay. My son went to Austin Peay but got his Masters at the University of Iowa , where he got a full ride due to his grades. All three are paying off their loans, and even I had a student loan after I retired from the military which I paid off.

But...

Yes, but if you already have a mortgage..

You could do the same thing by paying extra every month. If you spread a payment or more across your 12 regular payments, you shave off quite a bit of interest because all extra goes to principal.

I never understood when folks say to pay off higher interest first and include the home in that reasoning. I say look at your loans in an amortization table and find the highest interest in $$ not percentages and pay those down first. Doing this, most will find that the home is where you pay the most interest, in $$. A simple example: 5% interest on a $150k loan is $7,500, 8% interest on a $50,000 loan is only $4,000. That's $3,500 savings in one year. This of course is just a simple example, not quite how an amortization table will do but it gets the idea accross. As for money in the bank, not a good idea; best to put it in a Roth IRA or into Investment Funds so you have access to it, with no penalties, in an emergency. 401k, no brainer, always put in at a minimum the amount that your employer will match; it's free money.

I can't speak of all sectors, but many of the farmhands (all legal) were paid the same wage as other farmhands. Same with many of the roofers, framers and many other construction workers I have spoken with.

RIP, I hope they do an independent autopsy, kind of strange this happens just when a slot was needed for Obama. Any bets the next nominees will be black or Muslim?

I seen that, I think it's due to EPA regs and other government interference. Current administration is killing many industries that it considers to be harming the environment such as coal and a/c companies. And the reason we will continue to have immigrants is because there are still many jobs out there, as long as you are willing to get your hands dirty.

Man, didn't realize that Casio G-Shock had an Eddie Bauer edition :stare: . The majority of my watches have been under a hundred, my first expensive one, a citizen, was smashed by a connector link on a parachute jump. That was in the late 80s, my next expensive one was in 02, my wife purchased a Suunto, we traded that one in, an aviator version, for one that had ground use. I now wear another Suunto, a cheaper one I got in trade since my other one died (black screen). In between I wore G-Shocks, two of which are still ticking in a drawer. The ones that failed, were not due to the watch but the activity; army life is tough on electronics. If/when this one dies, I'll pull one of the other two out of the drawer.

Well, my intent was not to upset you. I think we know they are different, and both are good within their capabilities. But this, if I read the OP correctly, is about which of the two calibers is best in an AR. Not which caliber is best overall, or for a specific use.

Where do you buy your reloading supplies?
Omega replied to enfield's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Midsouth has CCI primers for $27.50, if you are local these prices are hard to beat. Powders, when in stock, are fairly priced as well, most under $24. Since they are off exit 11, they are within driving distance of even Nashville, saving the $26 hazmat fee. -
Probably impersonated a TN DHS agent, silly acronyms should have to be original.

Boy, where to start...I have a multitude of these and have probably broke every dang one of them at one time or another (replaced under warranty). The one I now carry as my EDC this one: The reason I like this one is due to the needle nose, the access to a blade and scissors (one handed open) while closed. And while open the outside portion is smooth so doesn't hurt your hand like others ie. the leatherman. It also has a grit hacksaw which you can exchange, an adapter for the Phillips bit for other bits and the wire cutter inserts are replaceable and three sided if just dull you just turn them. The only thing missing is that aggressive saw blade which goes through branches quickly. But I would be hard pressed to choose something to take out in its stead.

I like that magnet, but real estate in my Tacoma is limited so mine is either carried in its holster or if in a sketchy area tucked between the seat and center console. Oh look comms, another one comes to the darkside:

Well, at least he will be getting free drinks...and bread.

I don't think anyone is trying to state that a 300Blk is better than .308, just stating that .300Blk is a better choice in an AR. A .308 is a very good long range round, and an AR in .308 can be accurate; but there is a reason most sniper rifles are bolt action. As for it's range, yes it is capable of reaching out to a decent range, but it is also very capable at 100 yards or under as well. And while, for me, the .270 is a better hunting round; I have used the .308 the last few years quite effectively at ranges of 100 yards and less. So for the OP's stated use, I think a 300 Blackout would be a good choice specially loaded with Barnes 115 grain blacktips in supers for hunting. If/when he decides to get a can, then the Sierra Match King 220s are great performers for target, but for hunting I am not convinced it's a good choice unless you use one of those specialty rounds such as the Lehigh's and concentrate on shot placement.

It will be tough to garner enough interest in autoloaders in high calibers. A bit of a waste really, it's real tough to take advantage of a semi-auto when you have such a recoil.
