  1. Well, I'll spin the wheel. I'm going to submit any lower originally purchased through an FFL as pistol lower, with brace, for a free stamp. My lowers purchased as stripped lowers will remain pistols. I'm going the paper route, I ordered and received my Form 1s from the ATF so the most it will cost is the fingerprint ink I ordered, and postage to send them in.
  2. Funny, but some things can be learned from that. First, civilians can reach international airspace. If a small armed drone can be lifted up there in that manner, maybe it can engage the next balloon somewhere over the Pacific. Oh, and also that plastic, or rubber? freezes or becomes extremely brittle at those altitudes, so one may need better materials for anything you send up there.
  3. I'm not, but they will already be behind schedule replacing all the armament going to Ukraine, don't need to be wasting what we have left.
  4. Which is another mystery, why shoot a missile? A few well placed 20mm rounds into the body of the balloon could have made less of a mess of the payload, possibly letting us recover more of it to study.
  5. During WWII Japan used balloons to drop ordinance on the US. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/when-japanese-balloons-threatened-american-skies-during-world-war-ii/ar-AA175aCF Back then, they figured out the way to deliver a package all the way to the US mainland without any electronics. Now, the Chinese have not only figured out a low(ish) tech way to do the same thing and by using a legal loophole in international law (60k ceiling), they can deliver a first strike, possibly another biological attack, say Covid 23, and we have shown we won't do anything until after it releases it's payload, thereby destroying evidence it ever happened, giving them plausible deniability.
  6. I posted this elsewhere and got good feedback from others ordering these so figured I would post this here as well: ---------------------------------- I began looking for another handle for the blades the Havalon Piranta uses to keep a spare handy for when the blade loses its edge while field dressing. Not wishing to spend the same amount on one I took a chance on this one for $10.94. Yes, it's Chinese made, but I have to say, I like it. It's solid, and unlike the Havalon has some heft to it. It came with a different profile blade, like a 70A, which I prefer, but I don't think they are as sharp as the ones that come with the Havalon, but I bought it for the handle so that's ok, and I purchased 70A blades for the Piranta anyway. Swiss+Tech Folding Skinning Knife with Liner Lock While the body of the Piranta is plastic, this one is aluminum and textured to give it a little grip but an all plastic one is available too. The locking mechanism is identical, which works just about the same way of course. The belt clip is larger, but it doesn't get in the way or affect the grip IMO.
  7. With all that is happening in DC, you damn well know they will do everything they can to move the spotlight anywhere else, and the MSM will happily oblige.
  8. Oh IDK, I considered one when they first came out, not for SD or HD, but for a woods gun while hunting, first round a 410 to take care of Jake, and the 45 to dispatch a wounded deer if needed. But I only considered it for a fleeting moment, especially when I got my hands on one, my .40 could do the same with more rounds and a CCI shotshell as the one in the pipe.
  9. Many productions require everyone who handles a weapon, right down to the actors, to verify the weapon is clear. If they had such a policy, and didn't follow those procedure, which is obvious he didn't, he is subject to liability as an actor as well.
  10. The price of fame.
  11. I wonder how long before they disbar him? https://www.newyorkcriminalattorneyblog.com/new-york-supreme-court-justice-deems-new-yorks-red-flag-laws-are-unconstitutional/
  12. Meh, it's already been done.

  14. If anyone is looking for some ear pro, these are highly recommended by me for hunting, but not so much for indoor range as they reset a bit slow for the bounce. The green and blue are the cheapest, the green ones are just $31.14 I also recommend the gel cups, much more comfort and better seal, $19.99 but well worth it. https://smile.amazon.com/Howard-Leight-Honeywell-Amplification-Electronic/dp/B001T7QJ9O https://smile.amazon.com/PROHEAR-Howard-Leight-Honeywell-Earmuffs/dp/B0822RGZH8
  15. My Tacoma has a plug in the bed, it won't work unless the engine is running, 400 watts parked and 100 watt when moving. I use mine to run a chainsaw blade sharpener, and 4" grinder from Harbor Freight (better brands draw too much power) and once to run their pole saw, which you had to start it off slow or it would trip the circuit, but it was good enough to finish clearing branches away from the site I was having a carport erected on.
  16. I got one of these last year for $20 https://www.harborfreight.com/2-1-2-half-inch-table-swivel-vise-97160.html Can't use a brick, only opens a couple inches, but clamps onto my reloading/work bench just fine. Already had some jaw pads for my bigger vice, which work good so far. Works decently for light work like driving pins and straitening small items.
  17. For hunt camp, or tailgating. $127 https://www.walmart.com/ip/Blackstone-Adventure-Ready-22-Propane-Griddle-Gift-Bundle-in-Black/124068209 Just got mine in and it's a bit heavy, which is good, the griddle is quite stout and makes up the majority of the weight. The carrying case seems well made but is a bit tight when you first use it. I also ordered a hose to run a 20lb tank, though the 1lb runs it pretty good for about an hour and a half, enough to get through a meal or two I would think.
  18. You can have it in an auto, take it to the range and buy ammo.
  19. Not supposed to, I think there has to be more energy, 2k fps, to do so.
  20. That looks like some serious pressure sign, possibly the infamous powder position detonation. Did the previous round sound right, and did it hit the target?
  21. You mean the guy in the back with a woody?
  22. Same here, and also ordered from these guys: https://ar500-targets.com/ they have sales quite often and some good target shapes along with the standard shapes.
  23. Primers are hard to kill, even intentionally. I would use them to develop your loads, if one fails to go off, no loss, just pull the bullet and reuse the rest of the components. Just be sure to let them dry for a few days.
  24. So, you are familiar with these forums I take it? Yes, that was rhetorical.
  25. Was it really worth it? Apparently some are slow learners. https://gab.com/SomeBitchIKnow/posts/109083247057721817
