TN Permit Holders to be classed as LEOs?
Wdodd replied to Grayfox54's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Couple of cents worth from an old geezer .......... I, for one, truly appreciate the efforts of Worriedman and others like him. Without such efforts, there would be NO Carry Permits nor Civil Immunity in our state. We do not gain anything, nor do we protect our Constitutional Rights by sitting on our butts and remaining silent while hoping that someone else will get the job done! It just does not work that way!! We each have our individual beliefs, our own personal views, and our own priorities on which we focus and to which we devote our time. Want to make a difference? Then do nothing. Want to try to make a POSITIVE difference, then do SOMETHING!!! I admire a man who actively stands up for what he believes ...... even if I personally think he is dead wrong. Off the ole soapbox now. -
Hey Jackalope ...... Let’s see a picture or two of your Ural.

Thanks for your response!

Thank you. Yes, I have seen quite a few for sale, but a number of sellers plainly/honestly state ... “many buyers have reported/experienced fit problems with Romanian pistols”. Was hoping to gain wisdom from someone with previous experience as this is my first venture into the world of 7.62x25. Thanks again!

Anyone on the forum have a Romanian TTC and have purchased an after-market mag? if so, please send a PM ..... I would like to seek your knowledge. Many thanks!

Looks as though the driver had a tense moment.

Great job!! Appreciate your fine efforts.

If push came to shove, the last pistols I would let go would be the SR9 and SR45...... the SR series is certainly not for everyone, but they fit me perfectly. And with that many rounds, i figure I could kinda/sorta hit whatever needed to be hit. As a side note, when Ruger discontinued the SRs, I bought a few more rather cheaply on the used market. My wife, God rest her soul, would ask ... “How many of those things do you need”? Guess y’all know what my answer was!

Stopped by Sportsman’s in Murfreesboro this afternoon and left with a few boxes of .22 Shorts @ $4.89 per box. Could hardly believe that price!!

Anyone on the forum have an Ohio Ordnance 1918-A3 either Mag fed or Link-Belt fed? If so, I would be interested in talking with you for knowledge purposes. Thanks.

Very nice!!! A beer keg tap would look sweet sticking out the side?
-
Yep, back then you can get both a taco AND gas for $0.49. Not quite as much gas gotten from a $0.15 Krystal, but close!

Well, off the top of my head ..... maybe a few dozen do-rags, a few more dozen t-shirts from various dealerships/cities, one HD telephone (land-line only), a few years commemorative Mini-Gas Tank sets, and a huge Lego HD motorcycle. One day my son will have a lotta "fun" pondering "What was my old man thinking?"

That's kinda funny Bob. I don't think she ever considered them an "investment" ..... she just received joy from collecting them. And I am glad she did. Just as I have enjoyed collecting my stuff especially with my son when he was growing up. BTW ...... you wanna buy a slew of Bobby Labonte and Darrell Waltrip NASCAR and/or Harley Davidson "collectibles"? No? Well maybe a set of Desert Storm "baseball-type" cards? To each his own.

That apparently worked out well for my precious deceased wife as she left me with 3 huge storage tubs of those Babies!

John Madden, legendary NFL sportscaster and coach, dies at 85
Wdodd replied to The Legion's topic in General Chat
Loved Madden as a broadcaster but first as coach of the Raiders ..... Shell, Upshaw, Stabler, old man Blanda, Ted “The Stork” Hendricks, etc. Once when “The Snake” was injured and Blanda had filled in as QB, after the game a reporter asked Shell “What is the main difference in the huddle between the two QBs?” To which Shell supposedly replied “Well, with Blanda you don’t smell whiskey!” What a coach and what a team! And the miles Madden racked up in that bus as broadcaster because he refused to fly!! Plus he was strong enough to get along with Al Davis (at least most of the time). Thanks for the memories Coach. I reckon the angels took you to Glory in a big ole bus instead of flying you there on their wings. RIP -
Beltfed, that is one mighty fine piece of history!! I can't say enough good things about the CMP. Great organization, great people, great service!! And GREAT SURPLUS OFFERINGS!!

Did not mean to offend any dealer, bad-mouth pricing, etc. for this show. During my career, i have worked hundreds of non-firearm related shows and know quite well the labor involved in travel, expense, long hours on my feet, setup and packup, and dealing with the attendees. Now, having stated that ..... what I DID mean by “the worst” was relating to the QUANTITY of firearms at the show which was (in my humble opinion which I am sticking to) was severely lacking. Lots of tables there, but much fewer “gun tables”. I did purchase a couple of packs of pipe cleaners. Will I attend again? Of course I will.

Yep, was probably the worst RK show EVER in Lebanon!
-
Yep, me too.

I agree “the Donner Pass thing” sticks a person”s mind. I have yet to forget that strange eerie feeling that came over me when we parked our HDs to walk and look around several years ago. Honestly, I was a little more than ready to go when we hit the pavement again. Think sometimes I would like to return just to see if that strange feeling would return, but then again, maybe not!! Congrats on a great and safe trip!!
