I really like shooting these, and I recently got a Smith 686 4" from a member here it also shoots great and has a real smooth trigger. If you don't have at least one wheelgun I think you're missing out on a great shooting experience. So I'd say both.

There is a target you can print out. It is divided into sections which will tell you what you're doing wrong by where the point of impact is. ie, heeling. anticipating recoil, etc. I'll try to find the link. Here is a start for you evil..... http://www.lasc.us/FryxellCrackShot.htm

I would guess the slide release, safety, decocker, trigger would be the controls.

It's great finding out you have a cool family history. There are some great geneology web sites and computer programs to help find and keep track of aditional info. ie. Through the university of Mich. I found an 1870 census page that has my great grandparents families listed. They all had farms next to each other.

My sincerest condolences to you and your family.

There's a smaller buck, 4 point, and about 5 does that come through every day.. Shooting with a camera only.

Shooter, I don't believe the Serpas have had anymore problems then those Glocks that shoot people in the buttocks. I have have used two of them for over a year with my Sigs and have had no problems. Google "Serpa holster problems" and read a few threads on them. Loose shirts, not tucked and larger pants size for IWB works well.
