  1. Yeah my wife is the executive housekeeper at Hampton Inn in Gatlingburg and says they are booked full for next Sunday and Monday for the Eclipse, I think it's crazy how much excitement is surrounding this 2 minute event lol But that's just me.
  2. [bobs chin at everyone] Sup ( Big Bang Theory reference lol)
  3. O I agree, but he is the wife's brother, and she has been badgering me for a while to get him something reliable. It is a her piece of mind thing, she's happy I'm happy lol. He is just one of those guys that wont turn loose of a buck unless he absolutely has to, real good guy, just refuses to believe that if push comes to shove he would be better off throwing that POS he carries at the BG and running away. The wife and I have both tried to talk him into an upgrade but he about had a heart attack over spending $300-$500 on a decent carry gun lol So after around 6 months of Nancy begging, bartering, and nagging, I gave in and agreed to get him one for his birthday next month.
  4. Beautiful holster!! I always loved the all leather holsters. I have/had a real nice one for my Canik 9mm loaned it and the gun to my daughter for home protection, I miss that gun always such fun to shoot, but better off protecting her and my grand daughter than sitting in the safe.
  5. My main one is " THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO CLEAR UP YOUR STUDENT LOAN BEFORE LEGAL ACTION IS TAKEN!!!" Never had a student loan in my life. I get that call once a week at least.
  6. My first gun was a .22 target pistol, don't remember what kind and sold it a long time ago lol The only pistol I am sentimental about is my dads old S&W .38 that never leaves the safe and will be passed down to my son one day
  7. By coincidence our bill came yesterday and another $10 increase up to $297 every 6 months now, State farm for 2 houses and 2 cars.
  8. yeah might have to drop the all metal thing lol! Hadn't seen Sportsman Guide before good prices thanks for the tip Monkeylizard

    FOOTBALL

So, who else is beyond ready for College football season to start?!?!?!?!?!
  10. Ok, here's the question, I am looking for a decent 9mm to buy for my Brother in-law. Last year for Christmas I paid to get him his CCW for his present, and he went to a pawn shop and bought a little Jennings .380 for a carry weapon SMH, now let me preface this by telling you he is CHEAP!!!!!! He got the Jennings because it only cost him $50 and imho he got ripped off. Out of a 8 round mag this thing will jam at least twice every time. I have tried and tried to get him to upgrade but he wont spend the money for anything better. He works in Hvac and is always going to peoples houses and such so my wife worries constantly that that POS paperweight he carries is going to fail him one day when he needs it. So she has begged, bartered, and threatened me into agreeing to buy him a decent 9mm for his birthday next month. Now I don't want to spend a lot of money on this weapon, mainly because I've seen the way he treats the one he has and it makes me cringe every time. It has to be small enough that he can conceal it easily while crawling under houses and such and I'd say my price limit would be around $300, and I would prefer all metal, again he is rough on his and I'm not sure Tupperware would hold up. O and he wont own anything that doesn't have a manual safety, His words when I was trying to talk him into a Glock or S&W. Any suggestions would be appreciated
  11. And for the car lovers how about some Dove hunting. I'd almost bet the Lady in the pants suit lost a few toes lol
  12. Yes, we have seen the same thing with ours, we also have 2 homes, her car and my truck thru the same company. I believe it was just $10 each time though

    VICTORY

I have been having an life and death battle with 2mutant rats living in my house. they came in in the winter and I swear these were super rats!! I bought 4 kill traps and set them 100+ times and they would trip the traps and eat the bait EVERYTIME!!! I KID YOU NOT!! All the while they were eating up cloths and cutting big holes in my walls. Then I went to CO-OP and paid $35 for a 12lb bag of rat poison, they ate every bit I put out and then got in the bag and ate every bit of the 12 lbs within a week. AND STILL DIDNT DIE!!! Now they decided it was personal, they ate holes in my couch cushions and pulled the insulation out of my oven!!!!! SERIOUSLY $100's worth of damage if not $1000's after we replace the furniture. Well we tried everything we could find on Google and nothing would kill these mutant beasties, I contemplated sitting up at night with my 12 gauge and just fixing what I blew apart LMBO. So yesterday we go to Walmart and I happen to buy the biggest glue traps they had we are talking 12x6 traps and I put a big blob of peanut butter in the middle of each of the 10 traps I set out and at 11:30 last night I got awoken to an awful racket, one of the creatures was stuck on a trap in the kitchen, so I jump up and run in there and this thing looks like a Opossum it is so big and fighting like a mad dog, so I grab a rubber hammer that just happens to be sitting on the counter and it took 4 hits to the head to kill this monster HAND TO GOD 4 hits!!! So I dispose of the corpse and when I am headed back to bed I hear another racket in my sons room and low and behold the other opossum look alike is caught on a trap in his room, so I grab my trusty rubber hammer and commence to reuniting this one with it's departed kin and it only take 3 hits for #2 to pass into Mutant hell. It was a long and hard fought war but I am 99% sure I have wiped the enemy out !!!!! WOOOOOOOOT WOOOOT
  14. When I took mine a lady in class used a Ruger LC9 with a laser site with no problem
  15. It doesn't have to be bad at home for a 15 yr old girl to make a stupid decision!! My 15 yr old niece ran off with her 19yr old boyfriend for over a week before coming home, and she had a good home life and 2 parents who love and take care of her.
  16. no ideal, all I know is they are 6 round and S&W, bought them years ago, sold the gun not long after and just happen to find them in the bottom of my gun cabinet and have no use for them anymore.
  17. I have two 6 round safariland speed loaders for a S&W .38/.357 if anyone has need of them.
  18. Anyone going to the O&W game tomorrow? thinking about going myself if the weather isn't to bad.
  19. Did you see the interview with the guy who found them? He did good but I swear I was looking for a Tornado and a trailer park lol
  20. Well on a related topic, I figured out that the M&P fits nicley into my IWB holster for my G30 --- who woulda thunk it?
  21. I am a tried and true Glock convert, with that said I found a great deal on a M&P .45 compact, so I bought it, took it to the range, and I hate this pistol!! Well not really the gun itself. It's the trigger, this thing has so much play in the pull and no feel on the reset. IDK if it's just that I am so use to my G30 or what? Anyone else have this problem? I've never had a trigger job done on one of my guns but seriously thinking about it on this one, and recommendations would be appreciated.
  22. NOPE!!! I have 3 grown daughters with semi competent husbands, and I still do 99% of the work on their cars, I know if I do it, it is done right, and they and my grands are safe.
  23. Maybe the blood flow it promotes is from the bad guy? BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA It has to be the manufactures fault, everyone knows Wal-mart only hires the most intelligent people for their management team!!!!!
  24. Love dogs, hate cats, cats are good for 2 things, catching rats, and target practice. with that said I would not let any animal suffer needlessly that just takes a cruel hearted SOB.
  25. Yeah she's been running 2 miles a day and hitting the weights at the gym 3 days a week, she is in the best shape of her life right now and at 22 and always being an athlete (basketball, softball, and soccer)  in high school, that's saying a lot
