  1. Put me in for 1 serial #13 if available thanks   ETA-looks like 13 is taken, make it #23 if not any number will do, thanks.
  2. With open sights on a Mosin Nagant   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-CTa2lMGN0&feature=em-uploademail
  3. All my ammo is either stored in magazines or loose in ammo cans.
  4. It certainly isn't going to hurt or make it worse. We can't see back and do nothing.
  5. http://www.change.org/petitions/bureau-of-alcohol-tobacco-firearms-and-explosives-reopen-importation-of-the-russsian-military-surplus-7n6?recruiter=56015123&utm_campaign=signature_receipt&utm_medium=email&utm_source=share_petition
  6. We need to convince the .gov that if it isnt allowed to be imported and shot up at the range then it will get sold to Afghanistan, Syria, etc. where it will get turned over to Alqaeda and used against us. Or maybe thats what they want.
  7. Seeing as how 5.45 7n6 doesnt meet the criteria for AP ammo, it shouldnt matter if everyone is making 5.45 pistols.
  8. Well JBI is getting blamed for it, so I bet their email is getting bombarded with hate mail anyway.
  9. 5.45 surplus doesnt meet any of the criteria for AP ammo, but I guess that doesnt matter to obama and the ATF. But these are the guys making 5.45 pistols.   http://jbiarmory.com/services.html
  10. I haven't got any that had less than 50% lead after smelting yet, but it all depends on where you get your lead. I know we still use lead weights and atleast one of the tire stores in town still uses lead weights. The dealers and walmart are using zinc or steal, not sure what Gateway tire uses. I have also been seeing some plastic wheel weights lately.   Keep asking around, you may find a shop or 2 that will just give you the lead. Hit up the dealerships, I get free lead from 2 dealerships. One of them doesnt hardly do any tires, takes a year to get a full bucket from them, but the other I get a full bucket every 3-4 months or so.
  11. Anybody going? wonder if it will be any good.
  12. The button on the end of the stock is to unfold it. The button to release the lock to fold the stock is on the left side of the receiver.
  13. That has the AK100 series folder on it. It folds to the left side and locks into place. The button is to release the lock to unfold it
  14. I have been reloading for my Glock 9mms for a few years. No problems and mine are Gen2. I have been debating this same thing with myself for a while now, but havent made the jump to the M&P. The mag cost/availability and needing tools to take the gun apart are probly the 2 biggest reasons. Glocks have just spoiled me I guess.
  15. Ford used the trac-lok limited slip in a lot of their trucks, 2wd and 4wd. Its not locker like some people think, like a detroit locker. Its a limited slip, it uses clutches on either side behind the side gears in the diff. They work good on the street, not so much offroad.   TDR-What you described in the OP sounds exactly like the limited slip chatter. We get them in the shop doing exactly what you describe and the friction modifier from the parts store works just as good as the Ford brand.
  16. You need to decide how you want to lube the bullets. Lubrisizer, pan lube, or tumble lube. May be other methods out there, not sure. Or powdercoat the bullets, its real easy.  I tumble lubed but have switched to powdercoat, dont see myself going back to lube.   AFA molds go, I have a couple brass molds from Mihec group buys over on castboolits. Super nice, they are heavy, but can be a long wait. Also have a few Lee molds they work really well to and much lighter than the brass molds. I am on a group buy now from A.C.E., on castboolits, for an aluminum 75gr 223 mold. Mihec and Lee are the only molds I have used but I dont think you can really go wrong with any mold.
  17. How long are the 62gr bullets that you tried and almost worked?
  18. 69gr Sierra SMK should work, 65gr Sierra game king should work. 62gr TSX is longer than both, might work. Worth giving it a try.   Got this off a google search   Barnes TSX 70 grain - 1.040" Hornady Match 75 grain - 0.992" Sierra MatchKing 77 grain - 0.985 Nosler Competition 77 grain - 0.982 Barnes TSX 62 grain - 0.945 Nosler 69 grain - 0.900 Sierra 69 grain 0.890
  19. I know its off topic, but since its been brought up. No companies should pay taxes. If a company doesnt pay taxes and later on are required to pay taxes are they just going to eat the new expense? No they are going to cut employee pay, lay off employees, raise prices, or a combination. A tax on a business is just a way for the gov to hide tax from the people, because ultimately taxes are paid by the consumer directly or indirectly.     That being said, at first I had a problem with the commercial. But after thinking about it I dont really have a problem with it. Besides, its just a commercial.
  20. Good luck on the 231, I havent seen any in a while
  21. Well against my better judgement I watched this. It wasn't to bad, much more balanced than I expected.
  22. Troy also has a rail system coming out that looks promising and there is another new one that I cant remember. I will try to find it.   ETA-Found it, Krebs UFM rails.   I have a TWS and a couple ultimaks. I prefer the Ultimak over the TWS. And I just dont like the look of the Midwest industries, and other, rail systems. THe lower rail never matches the square receiver on AK rifles. But looking at the Krebs and Troy they look like they will match up with the receiver much better. I like the looks of the Krebs better plus the top rail comes off easily to remove the gas tube. But the Troy top rail is lower and you can keep your cleaning rod on the rifle unlike all the other rail systems out there. The Troy doesnt look quite as low as the ultimak, but pretty close.   Krebs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJyUfASaztg   Troy, skip ahead to 2:25 for the ak rail http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9ZNIIac_rk
  23. Scope or reddot? I would suggest a reddot and get an ultimak rail. Or you could go with the TWS dogleg rail, it comes with a peep sight that mounts closer to your eye. TWS ultimak
  24. I cant help except to say he can still go hunting with a bow or muzzleloader
