panic buying? yes it has come to this. but there is also a good side to this. we now have more guns in the hands of the good guys. this is a good thing. with more good guys armed it will be hard for the left wing to take the guns away.

if you are a normal hard working tax paying person and you fall under this, good for you. if you are a low information voter and/or a dead beat and you collect this, you are a leach. you take out more than you put in. that is the problem now. we have more that take and don't put back. they are raised to be dead beats. the mean old hard working person has been mean to them and we owe them. fair tax is the only way we can support these social programs. with the fair tax everybody has skin in the game and pays a federal tax on goods bought.

Received this evening from TN Sheriff's Association
frankmako replied to Worriedman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
wiggle room, wiggle room, wiggle room. no backbone in their statement. we have gotten to a point where good men will not stand up for what is right. wiggle room, wiggle room. -
first i would get some reloading books to read. new and/or older books will work. then i would get a single stage press to start. a used one will work.

frankmako replied to jaysouth's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
never used them but they look good. might give them a try. -
i go to work everyday and put in long hours so these people can live off my taxes. they do nothing all day except take money away from my family.

what were the prices??? i been looking for a 44 mag and/or 357 mag lever gun for some time now.
-
at this time any of the big name brand will work. rcbs, lyman, lee, etc... carbide die set is a must when it come to pistol reloading. makes it easy and clean. the hard part is finding a die set that the price has not been jack up to more that it should be. the second problem is finding reloading supplies.

Reloading supplies in the Knoxville area?
frankmako replied to timcar86's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
first we had a run on guns. then a run on mags and ammo. now it is a run on reloading supplies. it has got hard to find anything and when you do the price are jacked up. i would back order some supplies from a name brand company and wait for the items to come in. -
they got some over on ebay. but the price can get high. go to midway and order some and/or to set your price if you go the ebay route.
-
don't know yet, still dark here and it looks like all we got was rain. it is hot outside. looks like more to come.

many mango season ago when i was shooting long range rifle matches i was a trimming fool. now i am not. i have found that you just don't have to trim that offen and/or sometimes not at all.

Reloading supplies in the Knoxville area?

4895 works well in the 308. check on line with powder valley. they got good prices for primers/powder. they don't beat david prices, but they are the next best thing. -
if you still got your old equipment i would start back with it to get back in the swing. then later i move up to a dillon system.
-
waste not, want not. lots of good way to use them in the reloading room and/or the work shop.

very good letter. -
remington 700 and/or a savage for me. both are good guns.
-
plus one. back in 85 i got a new remington 700 bdl in 308 to replace a 30-06 that i was using in long range rifle silhouette matches. took the rifle out of the box, drop on a weaver t-25 scope, clean her good, and off to range to sight her in for each target range. about 25 rounds later good to go. i gave her a quick cleaning and used her the next day in a match. shot 36 out of 40 that day with a new rifle. no barrel break in needed. saw many new rifles that did not have a so call break in during those day. they all shot good. i have seen several that would do a long process in barrel break in. shoot one, clean, shoot one, clean and so on. seen others to different things. but my 308 without the voodoo break in out shot them.

Lone Wolf Barrel in 9mm for my Glock 17
frankmako replied to Jamie Jackson's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
anything except cast lead. some do shoot cast lead in the factory barrel, but glock says don't. if you shoot cast lead in any glock it is best to get a after market barrel. if you shoot any reloads, fmj/cast lead in any glock 40 cal get a after market barrel. glock 40 cal barrels do not give full case support. there are several good brands to look at. price side the lw barrel are on the lower end. i have several of them along with higher end barrels. the only different i can tell between lw, efk fire dragon, kkm, and others is the price. -
it looks like i will have some time to go hunting for the "tree rat". the ridge behind the pole barn is full this year.
-
plus one. been this way for years. kids these days grow up without any up bringing and the know how of how to do a good job and/or work at a job. in other words they are "worthless". when they get a real job they carry their life style with them to the job,, worthless.

i am in. just one more way to write. everybody should do this.

back in the 70's i lived overseas. we kept a tow liter plastic gas can in the trunk of the car. all cars had a place for the plastic can and all cars had one. it was against the law to run out of gas. if you did and did not have your gas can with gas you got a ticket. i came back to the states with several of the plastic can. they have been the best. better than anything you can get here. heavy plastic, heavy removal nozzel, no mess when filling up or putting gas in.
