  1. I’ve got a few good knives, I’m no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but here’s my 2 cents worth. I’ve got 2 Protech auto knives, and I like them, but overall, I think you can achieve similar quality for less money. I’ve got a Benchmade Adamas with an 3.82 inch blade, and it is probably my favorite pocket knife. It’s built like a tank, and you could probably chop wood with it, LOL. It opened in my pocket once though, and I’m kinda leery of carrying now so it’s on my go bag. I’ve got a Gerber 06 auto with a safety, and this is my EDC now. Not too heavy, holds an edge and opens with a snap. I like it. I think it’s 3.8 blade length. I also have a little Kershaw Launch 4 auto with 1.9 inch blade, which is also my EDC. I have 3 Gerber sheath knives, in addition to the folder above, and I love them. So yes, if you can afford them, I think they’re worth the price, especially if you look on here for someone selling one. But having said that, I’ve carried knives ever since I was a little boy, and you don’t have to spend Benchmade money on a good knife
  2. Saw this article online. Interesting reading. https://www.outdoorhub.com/how-to/2012/10/30/squirrel-bot-flies-fact-versus-fiction/
  3. I forgot about that! I remember my kin on the mountain talking about that when Id stay with them as a kid. I'd seen wolves but didn't understand what they were.
  4. I remember back when I was a little, maybe 1st grade, we lived in an old house in North Chattanooga. It wasn't the country for sure, even 60 years ago, but it wasn't downtown and we had plenty of big, old trees and they were full of squirrels. My dad had an old Remington single shot bolt action .22 (now I have it), and he would sometimes shoot some out of the trees and my mom would make squirrel and dumplings. Even today, I remember how good that was. Still love dumplings, but these days with chicken. I don't reckon I've eaten squirrel since then, though there were several times in the military they had mystery meat and I'm not sure what it was.
  5. Is that a rifle? lol. That might take a while to draw it. Nice looking gun. I've developed a love for .22 cal the last few years.
  6. One might argue that the 1st is gone already. Ask DJT.
  7. I love soup and chili in any season...maybe more so in cold weather, but still like it in summer.
  8. Yet again, Roberts leans left, but I’m surprised that Barrett did too.
  9. Thanks, guys, I’ll check those out!
  10. If you’re losing weight, I might suggest Kore. I’ve got 2, one for casual and one for dress. Had them about a year now and am very happy with them. The reason I suggest that for you is, aside from the great support they provide, they are infinitely trimmable. As a matter of fact, the way you trim is from the attached buckle side of the belt, so the part you trim is always hidden by the buckle. I’m sure I’m not describing it right, but it works well. Only issue I’ve had is mine can be a tight fit thru some of my dress pants belt loops, but they do go thru.
  11. Damn, I’ve wanted one of these since Keltec first announced then, before that even went into production. How many mags?
  12. I have plenty of good flashlights. I don’t want a weapons light for EDC, but had the idea of slapping one on my 365 XL Spectre. macro when I go to bed at night. The weapons lights I have on other guns are not quick and easy to put on/take off. Is there one that will slide on and off without tools that I could put on at night and slip off in the morning? One of my bedside guns is a S&W Performance Center Shield that came from the factory with a Crimson Trace flashlight/green laser already installed. It’s nice, but loaded with 8 +1 rounds, it’s as heavy as my Spectre loaded with 17+1! This isn’t a big deal, nothing wrong with having more than one bedside gun, I actually have a Governor there as well, LOL.
  13. I sent a little extra money thsi moring to TFA. Hope they can do some good.
  14. Living in Nashville, my reps are democrats and wont even respond to any email I send, not even a canned response. When Jim Cooper was my US rep, he'd at least respond to my emails, and sometimes I think it was really him writing them, though not usually. I spoke with him a couple times years ago at a few veterans events he sponsored that I worked and I knew how he talked. Im still surprised that he didn't get me put on some no fly list or at least get me investigated. (No I never threatened him, but if I recall correctly, I may have used the words "f*****g idiot in one response or two to his reply to mine. But this crap is way worse than the dems. Heck, you expect this from them, its what they do. The GOP, though are supposed to be conservative and pro 2a. What happened. Heck, they cant even get so called pro 2a legislation right. Im still pissed that 1. its illegal here to go armed, and 2, that its a crime to carry past a gunbuster sign. And I'm not sure how bad this impending gun ban stuff will be, but looking at the dems list, its pretty bad what they want, Heidi Campbell is my Senator and she's one that since I'm conservative, wont even have her staff respond to me. And her gun agenda is LONG and deep.
  15. Union kills another company.
  16. He fits in well with Lee. I can’t believe I fell for lees lies that he was a conservative and pro 2nd amendment!
  17. They’ve all gotten too big for their britches!
  18. Yeah, I've pretty much scrapped that idea now.
  19. One report I read said driver was a Tennessean.
  20. Agree 100%, and I’m sure the cop will pay the price for his actions.
  21. But you know the narrative that will be floated…black guy gets attacked by police k9 for having a missing mud flap, NOT the fact that he ran from police both in his vehicle and on foot. Not saying he deserved to get bit after surrendering, but am say that none of it would have happened had he not ran.
  22. That particular alternative doesn’t appeal to me.
  23. Yes I saw that the other day and had a hard time understanding why he released the dog. Is it possible he misheard the one cop repeatedly saying don’t release the k9? Many dudes are edited out to only show a narrative, but this one seemed to show the whole picture. I see no valid reason why he released the dog. Unless the dog just got loose. I know the guy refused to stop his truck, then once stopped, took off again, only stopping the final time because of spike strips. I’m sure some if the cops were mad at him, but the days of roughing up the bad guys just because they pissed you off are gone. There’s rarely a time when something isn’t being recorded. I think this dept will be settling a lawsuit.
