Praying for her cure.

I get my threads mixed up on here and am not sure this is where i need to post this but cant find the other one...anyway, I recently bought a Macro grip module after trying my 17 round mags in my XL Spectre. After I installed the macro, I didn't like the way the stock Sig base plates felt in my hand; the back had sharper edges than I like and didn't cover the whole grip. I ordered an aluminum base plate from Tactical Development that covered the entire bottom of the pistol grip when the magazine is in. Feels ever so much better. I also bought a bunch of their 15 round adapter base plates to convert all of my 15 round XL mags to the macro. I still may order some 12 round adapter base plates for my 12 rounders. One cant have too many magazines, right? Oh, and I had installed my EPS Carry using the adapter plate because the included screws were too long, losing the ability to co-witness. I ordered a set of the proper sized screws from TacRig and they came in today. Next project is to remove and reinstall without the adapter plate. I dont have any good hex wrenches. DOes anyone know if the little tool that Holosun provides is sufficient for the job? I checked and it fits perfectly with the Holosun screws and the Tac Rig screws. I just dont want to screw it up.

Proof that “Thank you for your service” is just lip service.

I think I would have too. -
I've heard 30.06 works pretty well. Just kidding...kinda.

That's sad, Hipower. Ive lost many friends to PTSD including my best friend of many years who took his own life a few years back. He was a member here. Me and 2 other friends had to go into his garage and clean brains and blood off of his car and the garage floor after the police left. I served 20 years in the USAF. 73-93. I d0ont expect to be thanked for my service, and it actually makes me a little uncomfortable when it happens as i never know how to respond. But I can tell you that I readily recognize the difference between someone who comes up to be with a sincere thanks for my service and the ones repeating what they think they should say ort are told by their employer to say. The day before yesterday, while I was eating at a restaurant, an older lady did so and i was moved as i could tell she was sincere. -
Need New Carry Flashlight - Suggestions appreciated

I get it. These newer ones come with a proximity sensor that dims the light to prevent overheating and fires. -

Well, Olight gave me a discount code again, so I bought another Warrior 3S. I like the model and am starting to understand how to program. -
Ford vs Chevy vs GMC (not an argument thread!)
Defender replied to Handsome Rob's topic in General Chat
I really don't have a clear preference or much experience with trucks. I've owned a Ford F-100 and a Toyota Tacoma (when it was a small truck). I liked both, but were both really too small for me. I've long wanted a F-150, but lordy they get expensive. I admired Ford when it didn't take bailout money form the government. Recently got the truck bug again and went out looking for one. My cousin recently got his 2023 Ford Maverick hybrid that he ordered last year and he loves it. I admit I kinda liked it too, but I prefer a truck that sits higher. Anyway, I went to all of the Nashville area Ford dealers and got the shock of my life. First, you couldn't order a new truck until they 'open up'. Second they were all adding a 5000 bucks on top of sticker price, just because they can. Last time I bought a new vehicle, one could negotiate lower than sticker. Now its the opposite, apparently. Anyway, I looked at used at carmax, where I've bought several cars in the past, and their prices have usually been good. Well not for trucks. They want about as much for a late model used as the new ones. So now Im back to not getting a new vehicle. I drive a 2017 Kia Sorento, and so far, mine has been an awesome vehicle. Its fully loaded and I got it for less than half of what it went for new, a year and a half used with low mileage. So, I'm looking at retiring fairly soon and don't need a car/truck payment anyway, both mine and my wife's car are paid for, so a new truck for me will be a lottery buy after i win. Rob, hope you find what you want/need. keep us posted! -
Good question, and I’m in the same boat. I’m interested to see what TGO thinks.

What red dot is on it? -
I installed my xMacro grip module (got from a TGO member) today on my 365xl Spectre slide and fcu. Love it! Changed all my 17 round mags back to flush fit. Ordered tactical development baseplates for my 15 round mags so they will work in my macro. Hope to get some range time in next week.thought about selling my xl grip module and several of the 12 round mags that fit it, but decided they don’t take up that much space so I may just hang on to them, just in case.

While I agree he didn’t make smart comments, sheesh, they charged him? I don’t need police like that. -
Recover Tactical Glock Converter
Defender replied to Defender's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I thought so too, but wondered when I saw in their site that you could order one with or without a stock. Their word not mine. I doubt I’ll ever really understand the crazy rules of the ATF. But if course, that what they count on. -

That’s a nice package, but I already have too many shields! GLWS. -
https://www.recovertactical.com/product/p-ix-modular-ar-platform-for-pistols-for-glock/ I ran across an ad for this in the June issue of Shooting Illustrated. While I’m not likely to get one right now, I was intrigued. I thoughts one couldn’t legally put a stock on a pistol? I watched some of the videos on this site and in one of them, the guy had some pretty good ideas on adding accessories to his. Does anyone have one if these things?

I got an email and a text from Chase Saturday morning that they had declined a charge for .76 in England for Twinning Tea. It asked if i made that charge and when I said no, they canceled my card and are send me a new one. It also said to check my account for other fraud charges and when I did there was one for 126 bucks from walmart.com. I called them to dispute it and they said they would remove it. Hate having to get a new card. I check my bank daily for fraud and guess I will need to start checking my credit card as well. I usually inly check it when I make a chare or pAY IT OFF.

No, I'm getting one from Whisper today. Thanks, though.

Looking for one to convert my xl. installed over the weekend. Not sure I like the size with the 17 round mag. It feels really good in the hand, but my conceal ability is somewhat hampered. The stock sig floor-plate tends to dig into my side, at least with the holster I have right now. Got another holster coming this week, and also a TacDev 17 round floor plate, so will wait and try that one. TacDev also makes an adapter floor plate so one can use 12 round mags in the macro. The macro changes a lot on this platform. Depending on how I shoot with it, and how it feels after I get used to wearing it, I could conceivably go back to the xl module.

My career field in the USAF are called Defenders, and I thought that name also fit well with the reason I carry.

Discovered that the manual for the EPS Carry was wrong in how to enter auto mode. Found an answer for this inReddit. Now I think Im good to go. I do want to test to make sure that is goes to sleep and auto wakes now. Already had occasion to clean it and this is the way, lol.

Awesome setup! I often think that when I win the lottery and get my place in the country, I'll have one similar. You did a great job on it.

Need New Carry Flashlight - Suggestions appreciated
Defender replied to crc4's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
I’m as bad with flashlights as I am with guns. Maybe I’m just afraid of the dark? Lol. Anyway, I carry a Streamlight stylus Pro in my shirt pocket EDC, since I try to minimize weight when I can, plus no room to comfortably carry in pants pockets or belt. Anyway, I just recently got my Olight Warrior 3S and I like it. It’s stays in my go bag most of the time. I also have a Nitecore MH12 I like in one room, and a LAPolice Gear Tactical Operator L1 in another room. I’ve apparently lost my Fenix PD35. I’ve been looking at a Fenix TK20R V2.0 that has 3600 Lumen in a pocket or belt size. Anyone familiar with this one? Side note, all of these program differently, so the smart move would be to have one brand, but then, I’ve never been accused of being overly intelligent, lol. -

Defender replied to crc4's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
I thought about starting a new thread but then thought maybe OP and others might benefit from my experiences with lights. I got my Olight Warrior 3S and charged it up. Side note, since you could not mail the battery back with the recalled Warrior, I kept it for a spare with the new light. I confirmed with Olight and it’s the same battery. Seems like a well constructed solid light, very bright. Couple things I don’t like: while it has a tail cap button switch, it also has a side switch as well. Programming seems obtuse. The instruction sheet wasn’t very clear to me how to simply do it. I probably just need to search the internet for other users ideas. Also, I would have like a beam focus adjustment like some of my cheaper lights have, I.e. Atomic flashlight. All in all though, I’m happy with it so far. -
Law Tactical AR folding stock adapter question

I took mine to my LGS gunsmith. It installed on my sig AR with none of the issues you mention.
