Wipe off my shoes, I usually stop in Bristol and take a shower to get the liberal stench off me!

Definitely different in Tennessee but better, like it should be people are friendly and nice. We stopped in a fast food place couple of years ago (Mcdonalds) and walked up to the counter to place our order, the girl said they would bring it over to us when it was ready! took a minute and she apologized for taking so long! when we finished eating a kid came over and cleared our table for us WTF. Workers doing more than their jobs unheard of now days. I like Tennessee! And you can carry a gun. Coming down in August give you a shout.

We have been down to Knoxville area bunch of times, and the last few times just touring all the different towns as best we could trying to get a feel for the area. Time to dive in I guess, right now thinking about Powell ,Maryville, Oakridge area and up towards Norris. Yes they all seemed a little different, established, up and coming and more rural. Make the best choice possible its always a bit of a roll of the dice. Was thinking if we find a place that calls out to us will put on nice shirt and visit new neighbors, say hello before we buy. Oh yes we are from downstate NY, Long Island area, really starting to hate it down here. Just to much BS.

Thanks for the leads guys this time next year we will be living in Tennessee, enjoying a better life.

Going to be in the Knoxville area next month looking for a retirement property (less than a year now!) if any one has recommendations for agents or places to live would be greatly appreciated. My wife would still be working for several years, so close to Knoxville is needed.

Nice looking gun. Dan Wesson make some fine pistols, I have a Valor and a Guardian by far my favorite guns shoot and look great. Accurate and reliable.

nice set up, is that eco 45 or 9? just wondering

Look around for a Gen 3 smith and wesson. I had a 3913 slim single stack in 9mm sold it for peanuts years ago sorry I did. Nice EDC gun. I have a DW guardian that is totally reliable, trust it to carry. Funny you mention savannah stopped there with my wife on the way to pick our niece up in florida, and almost got jacked by two guys down by the river, they were following us and something made me turn around, started to pull my gun they took off fast. Nice town otherwise.

Have a lot of Speer Gold Dots, but use HST and Golden Saber all reliable in my carry guns all 230 grain.

If I could only have one it would have to be LW commander 45acp. Carry this 75% of the time now.

So many guns so little time! I'm a 1911 guy without a doubt, I can appreciate and have other guns but I like metal hammer fired guns with a safety if its a auto loader. That being said I have striker fired guns also (not many). I mainly like things that work, and work well.

Let us know how you like it when you get a chance to shoot it.

Yes handled the pistol but did not shoot it. Trigger did not seem bad in double action maybe 8 pound pull kind of long, like a revolver. Single action was not bad at all pretty smooth short stroke and pretty short reset. Seemed like a decent carry piece. I have the XDS and you can carry all day no problem, light and real slim. Should have stayed to shoot it but we were just leaving. The XDS shoots nice can't imagine the XDE to be too different. More toys!

Was at the range today with my brother and started talking with this guy who just came in, had a brand new never shoot XDE in 42acp. Looks just like my XDS but with a hammer, DA/SA decocker if thats what you want, or carry cocked and locked SA. Might get one in 9mm. I prefer all metal guns but there is something to be said for a inexpensive plastic one too.

CZ's are great pistols, reliable and accurate. I currently have the 75 compact as pictured, thinking about getting a PCR.

Made some chicken gumbo yesterday, was raining all day and it takes most of the day to make. Very TASTY

I am a tool maker by trade, been at it for 40+ years. A lot of CNC stuff now but back in the day any close work needed hand fitting, and it still does. I enjoy the process of knife making quite a bit feeds my creative side I guess. Whatever the tool is, it has to work and fit both the job and the man doing it.

Have been thinking about renting for a while also, then buying. Got a year or so we will see. Good luck and thanks for the reply

Was down in the Knoxville area this past weekend, looking for places to retire to. We were down by Seymour, Maryville. Over to Oak Ridge and Clinton. Up by Lake Norris and most places in between. Powell seemed like a nice area. Some new building, lots of older homes nice properties, mix of woods and farm land close to Knoxville, my wife will have to work for a few more years when we move. I would like to set up a shop on the property, do metal work and make knives, something to keep me busy. Little hunting and fishing, generally enjoying life. Any place else I should put on the short list?

Little something I just got done. 10' long, S30VN stainlessl, stainless guard and pins black micarta handle. Did not make the revolver, but seemed like it went with the knife.
