The irony is, in effect, your first amendment rights kind of fly out the window to some degree. You have to be very careful what you say as it could be misinterpreted. And you have the burden of proof, not your accuser. Essentially you get someone who has a grudge against you and they can claim you said something in a threatening manner and you don't feel safe.

Excellent points Mr Dave, as always. I believe some brevity ends up with my making generalizations that leave out the refined scope. Such as anything on the internet being considered Social Media, but I personally dont characterize very niche places as such. But it does still give a limited audience I imagine. It is a very hard time and we all are on board with this being mental health. Unfortunately, most will not support steps necessary to identify and address those with such issues. To do so would be seen as encroaching on freedoms and would be highly unpopular. One of the biggest obstacles is seeing mental health as either curable or able to be kept under control. The idea that analytic engines and AI allowed to consume the data online to identify and flag (though we know it goes on) is so frowned upon. No doubt what you see as the next step coming. It rightly gives a sense of fear, few can accept it happening though they are unaware. I do hope that due process comes with red flag laws. Current ones have been abused. Its a slippery slope for sure. No simple answers, that was probably a bad turn of phrase. Some very tough had to swallow answers perhaps? Some freedoms will be lost at the end of the day, we just have to wait to see what those are.

The back-to-back massacres came a week after a gunman killed three people and injured more than a dozen others at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Northern California." OK...so was the media thinking it would would have somehow been better if the El Paso whacko first issued a warning before firing? Now that we got the Libtards all fired up foaming at the mouth screaming at their monitors for bans, lets get back to our Ohio story with another with more gratuitous mentions so they know specifically what to go on about... " the shooter wore armor and was carrying a .223-caliber rifle similar to an AK-47 and additional high-capacity magazines." While there was superfluous mention about officers killing the shooter in less than a minute, where it actually happened, time and such, those items seem to only get mentioned once and not emphasized. And nothing about the victims of note.

Social Media is the is the real epidemic. The amazing thing about this is there is ZERO mention or focus on that fact that all of this whackadoodles post up on social media before they go do this and their AGE. Outside the Las Vegas shooter, they are all young social media addicts who are clearly insane. Its so simple. Shut down Facebook, Twitter, and related social media platforms and this pretty much goes away. Or at a minimum, shut them down in the US. The overnight shooting, again we see the same pattern and the left media chomped at the bit to throw out '.223 high capacity rifle 'with addition high capacity magazines at the beginning of the article before getting to actual pertinent details. As awful as these events are, their emphasis says they do not care about the event, rather that they can promote their anti gun agenda. It should also involve getting media to stop sensationalizing it and adding their bios. They should never be allowed to put the persons name or details. If these whacks saw that they don't get notoriety.

That takes center state for the sad and unfortunate political environment we have with the left biased media. The facts and the poor victims dont really play for them, they are ghouls and seem to get excited by being able to put the silhouette of an AR on their posts and broadcasts. They chomp at the bit to do this and its obvious in stories as soon as they can confirm it. The AK silhouette probably is less effective for them, but they are playing up the military assault weapon aspect since non gun owners think commercial rifles are the same thing the military use. Their obvious motivation is to promote the gun control agenda. Not about solving the issue. Beto O'Rourke wasted no time in finding out the weapon and then playing his home town El Paso card, started immediately speaking to the crowd in Vegas about bans. If you look at cases where it was not an evil black rifle or a "military style" rifle, you almost never hear any discussion of the weapon, or you have to really search. Usually its a gratuitous mention of the caliber only. Sorry to soapbox this, but the media has no idea how they are helping promote this violence and this kind of obvious political motivation is maddening.

Wasnt the Gilroy shooter also using an AK? No doubt copycat. The patter of copycatting is pretty clear with how quickly the next mass shootings happen. Wish the media would stop giving these whackadoodles a stage. They see the last guy and his air play and then go out and do this. Beto is already using this for a call for "military style rifle" bans.

One thing when talking about these $100 or less rifles is the cost of inflation and adjust for year. Assuming its mostly 80's, that $100 is more like $250. These are still more, but here are less, so you know. But these aint nothing like the insane increase in M1 Carbines. I remember the shot I use to go to in the 80's which had 2 55 gallon drums filled with them and would go on sale for $69 (normally $89). They were some pretty nice ones. How much is one of those now? 1K or better. Guess that makes these pretty cheap?

Just got my order from Brownells who recently started offering a shipment of Romanian TT-33C's from M&M. There were listed at $219.99. End result, $199.99 to my door for a numbers matching arsenal refinished TT-33....heck, I may need another one. The one I received was all numbers matching, original star grips in perfect shape, lanyard magazine, and a great barrel. The arsenal finish was a re-blueing, but it was not as nice as some. Part of that had to do with the fact this gun had a lot of surface metal variation from areas which showed heavier sanding or wire wheel marks without being smoothed over before it was dipped. Also they didnt flush grind the extractor pin as with the original guns. Final product is a bit splotchy up close or under the bright lighting, but considering its surplus its good overall. Their site is not currently set up to handle someone with an C&R, just ship to FFL1's. So I called and was quickly transferred to a very nice compliance person. I let her know they are C&R guns and I wanted to buy if I could have it sent to me. She verified with her one up that was OK (my C&R was already on file with them for the discount). But she would have to enter it. I asked about using their current $20 off $200....tried it, and it was all good. Being an edge member, I get free shipping and no gun xfer fee (normally $10). If you have that set-up, well worth picking one or two of these up.

Height is your friend for indoor stuff, away from electrical interference of wires that run thru walls. Had an initial problem with ABC. Ghetto attached with painters tape to the arch of a vaulted ceiling about 12 ft high on the second story and full strength. Its clear the ammo folks are more dynamic and have adjusted well. They seem to appreciate the cyclical nature and are bringing their margins back by keeping output lower. So while folks hope for prices to drop, I personally don't expect it to be substantial, and nothing like the gun glut. Ammo is a consumable and inventories are easier to modulate on their side. You have to keep buying ammo, not guns. I don't believe we will see prices getting to the lows of 2016-17 levels. Looking at examples, there was a bit of surplus building thru 2017 as the 9mm and 223 production ramped up post Sandy Hook frenzy. Ammo prices back then were lower for desirable calibers on top of plentiful recurring manufacturers rebates. It was not uncommon to end up with .17 - .18 cents per round (cpr) for quality brass 223/5.56 for example. Looking at todays prices, you can see they have slowed production some time ago to run out surplus, 6 months ago deals were hard to find and most decent stuff was running at 28 to 30 cpr to your door without any incentives. Now its down to .26 but incentives are rare. The LEO switch to 9mm on top of production cuts also seem to raise price for several months. Fortunately looks like they anticipate supplying the LEO need and resulting switch of the gunmarket to follow the trend and mass exodus from .40. Its an area they are increasing output seeing high demand. Prices over the last couple months seem to have dropped well, but not down to levels of .12 to .14 cpr seen 2 to 3 years ago. I guess .16 to .17 cpr to your door is nothing to sneeze at, but that is a 20 to 30 percent over lows. Not black rifle ammo's 50% ugly though.

Be prepared, but hope you never have to answer those questions. On another note, was the backdoor unlocked? I didnt see door damage or wood flying out from a doorframe if kicked in. I find myself a bit prone to making (biased) value judgements about the neighborhood and typical recreational habits based on stacked dishes and garbage all over. No need to get into any of the other stuff, you are done right there. All the black 92's currently offered are done in Bruniton finish, which is a matte black paint over a parkerized surface finish. With military and police in mind, they didnt want a reflective surface. While some folks may like flashy shiny finishes, the last think you want is to get light reflecting of your flashy gun letting the bad guys now where they need to drop their fire.

Its good to see the resurgence in OTA now that the market has been collapsing with takeovers driving out consumerism and giving Big Cable more power. After cutting the cord and dumping comcast a while back, I have played with Roku, Sling, et al. 2 questions are important to ask going into this: 1. how important is TV or specific programming, or is it just background filler when you're bored? 2. Can you or your significant other do without, or are you watching as its more important to your significant other The item most struggle with, and the biggest loss is reliable DVR capability. Anyone considering this must look at the fix of network channels vs non network and how much they record from NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, and CW. With the number one thing being how much do commercials annoy you or your desire to skip them. At 20 mins of advertising out of every hour, you find out just how little $200 a month is! The big providers have fully matured systems and equipment for a seamless experience. While you can back into much of what you had, there are tradeoffs. Yes you save money, but that margin decreases as you add on the optional service packages. And depending on your set of workarounds (that is what they are) you sacrifice some reliability. Specifically in your DVR capability. Our current setup is Fiber internet, Sling DVR, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and OTA. I sent my Roku back as it lacked the integration offered by the Sling player and did not always play nice with a Sling player. The best "deal" for DVR is thru a Sling device that allows you to hook up an external hard drive of OTA and the extra $5 a month for the Cloud DVR. These devices can be sensitive to signal quality and recordings can get lost if your OTA signal breaks up. So extensive testing of your OTA placement should be done. Also, if you use a wireless feed to your device versus a dedicated CAT5 hardwired internet connection, any packet loss to that feed can make you loose a recording. So you should have a wired internet connection where you locate your player. This was a non issue pretty much with Big Cables device but you get to know how important that is why why they check it on installs until you have to figure that one out on your home brewed setup Also, we found that watching a recorded show while 2 were recording could overtax the system and cause one of the shows being recorded to be corrupted (lost). So we watch Netflix if two things are recording at the same time, which is generally all night on must see Thursday. And here is the other thing you don't realize at times. It can be important how many shows you record at once. We can record 2 at a time. Should have been good. But turns out networks like to compete and put shows on at conflicting times to draw audience. Or course we knew that, but didn't feel it until we dropped Big Cable's box that could record 4 at a time. So the first couple times my wife ran into her being unable to record her 3rd show and I got the earful....we had to sit and prioritize on those conflicts who did we skip or who had network On demand thru Sling. We have landed on a mostly stable setup, occasionally skip recording a show that we were so so on. My wife curses much less now that she is accepting it and only occasionally asks when we'll go back to comcast versus every other day when we were sorting out what worked best. But looking at the "savings", there is a little, but surprising not that much. The big thing is, like so many hear have noted, you can buy and drop as needed. So you choose versus being forced into long term contracts/ But if you evaluate the base you ALWAYS pay outside the premiums to watch specific thing, you may be surprised. The item most leave out of this is their stand along internet provider which was previously bundled in Big Cable's bill.

I put one in my XDM just to try to see how extreme I could get it (it was pretty good from the factory, already on the lighter side) and its a huge improvement though it may be a bit too light @ 2.5lbs. I can offer you some observations based on having a couple G19's and a range of 320's. I'll qualify I love Glocks and 320's, it will come down you preferences, but I don't think its clear cut without knowing what it is you are expecting out of the XCompact assuming you are already familiar with a G19. For example, do you expect it to be feel and carry smaller due to its shorter barrel / slide? There may have been some initial confusion from some who did not realize the Compact and XCompact are not the same in several ways. I have a 320 Sub-Compact which shares the XCompacts 3.6 in length, and like my M&P 2.0 Compact in 3.5", I really like that length for a carry gun. The only issue with the Sig is the beavertail adds to its overall length so you dont realize the full potential of the shorter barrel. And that gets worse with the extended beaver of an X style module. The Glock is a bit slimmer. Even though the X module is narrower than a standard module, its still wider than a Glock compact frame. I have an X module that I had reduced as the original Carry version is bigger than than the standard Medium front to back, including shaving the beavertail down. I think the XCompact will lose a bit in that concealability dept around printing compared to a Glock but more for shape give overall grip length with mag is close. All that said, I call Sig every couple weeks to try to get an XCompact module to run my Sub compact slide on as I only give up the RMR capability, which I would never run on an EDC anyway. I have an X-Carry, and like David, I scratched my head at the rear iron being attached to the plate. The 320 RX Compact with the same length slide has a rear iron, why not standardize? I think pretty much everyone hates that siting all the examples where folks retain them in other brands but made worse when Sigs own 320 shows there was plenty of room. Its just an X thing I guess. And its dumb and a miss. That said....I do not agree with David with regard as that being an issue. The Romeo does in fact have a notch at the rear to serve in a back-up capacity. Its a reduced profile compared to a traditional iron, so its not a fantastic sight picture for bullseye shooting @ 25yds, but they did in fact think of that. Realistically when you factor most real world need to have your EDC will be an engagement of 3 - 5 yards, if your are the guy that needs sights at that distance versus realizing the guy who gets off he first shot is the one surviving to go home....its not a huge issue even if its not ideal based on our wish list. I have Romeo's on my 229 and 320's, and I put one on my FNX45. Its a great $200 RMR and would recommend anyone pick one up when Sig is selling them at half price.

I cant say if you're an oddball or not, but you definitely would not be alone in doing that. I have or have had variants accross a number of brands, Sig, Beretta, Glock CZ, various 1911's, S&W's....and I am sure others that are not coming right to me. If you like a particular gun it seems logical do get a version more suited to a particular use if its offered.
