  1. FYI it shoots fine. I carry 124gr Rangers and these feel and shoot very similar to them. 17yrds is the max I've "practiced" at but pretty darn accurate for government work... I've ran about 700rds here latley throught both my Glocks as well as my Tec-9 and AB-10 with no issues at all. Pretty dirty stuff but no big deal for the price....it's nothing but practice ammo and cheap stuff at that. No different to me than shooting wolf. They actually come sealed in a white vacum bag and most of the boxes are usually broke. My 1000rd "case" was from 1987 and though the brass was dull, I have had no issues with it... This is what I have left of the ammo....I plan on getting more while I can... 124gr Paki Next to a Wally World Winchester white box 115gr .. Brass isn't bad or corroded. The broken box on the left actually had 3 extra rounds in it. The other broken boxes only had 50rds but none were short...
  2. Definatly trade the 27 for a 26 for mag interchangability and concealabitity for summer time....you can't go wrong.....
  3. Very nice write up and the links are pleantiful at the bottom. Awsome job.....keep up the good work.
  4. Oooooooops..... somehow a double post........
  5. FYI...if anyone doesn't mind mail ordering ammo....Sportsman Guide has been awsome for me for 7.62x39 and 9mm recently. I've bought everything from Wolf to PowerShok to surpluss on the 7.62 and with the 9mm it's been fair game as well. I've bought some Packastani (1980's) surpluss, Wolf (including 147gr gold HP's), Rem Golden Sabers, Fiocci, MagTec, MagSaf and tons of others. The prices are reasonable and shipping usually takes around 4 days to arrive here in Knoxville..... So when your needing ammo, check with Sportsmans Guide...... FYI.....50 Rds. .308 ACP 95 - gr. FMJ Ammo Browning Short $17.47 at Sportsman Guide as of 11/22/09 at 7:45am
  6. Seriously, any bullet in the chamber is better than no bullet in the chamber no matter if it's a hollow point or a FMJ.
  7. Whoa.....8 pages of pure controversy..... Boycotting isn't the answer here I'm sorry to say but anyone can do or think as they wish since it's a free country.... P.S. I don't go to Applebees because of the liquor or because they don't allow guns, I go to eat the food. Besides, most places these days have curb side pick up so you don't have to go in anyways....just call'em and keep carrying your gun in your car when you pick up the food......anyone think of that?? I'll still spend my money there, I just don't have to go in.
  8. Pricing doesn't seem to be that bad........still could be a little cheaper.

    Glocks

How about better concealability for some especially for spring/summer, more comfortable (less weight) to carry pending clothing, and sometimes, just sometimes......smaller is better. (Just ask the wife )
  10. As they should be.......anyone who buys one to carry is a fool. Buy one that isn't a "limited edition" and have at it. Of course shooting it at the range a time or two has to be done to ensure functionality incase you might need to use it........other than that, put it behind glass to show off to all your friends.
  11. Sweet......welcome to the Glock world, again!!
  12. Interested to see just what they decide to do with the 1911 platform....
  13. The BULGARIAN SSR-85 (Arsenal) is one fine AK even though the receivers are stamped vs. milled so I'd assume the SGL20-41's aren't that bad. Not sure of the differences between the two but the SSR-85 I've shot was one helluva shooter with a crisp trigger.......wish I had one.
  14. For some reason, I really don't miss my 995......guess it didn't make that big of an impression on me..... Anyways....might as well add yet another dimention of the 995..... My old HighPoint 995:
  15. You'll have to bring it next time to Norris.....
  16. That's a lot of levers..........nice collection.
  17. and another one bites the dust......... Welcome to the G19 club.
  18. Such a pretty plinker........ Almost makes me want to get one......
  19. Sweet hunk o' metal ya got there!!

    Glocks

If you're going by caliber popularity, definatly the 9mm platform...mainly the G17 or G19. Popularity by military/police/security would be G19 followed by the G23.....as many changed from the 9mm to the .40 Then as far as the subcompact popularity it would be the G26 followed by the G27... Just my .02 Furthermore......I used to EDC a Kimber, a ProCarry II to be exact. After months of research and debates (as all caliber debates go), I then settled on carrying a G19 and then later a G26 for spring/summer.......

    NTM Glock

Maybe Glocks aren't really your cup o' tea. Some people really can't shoot Glocks because of how they sit in their hands and/or the trigger pull. Though it is a functional weapon, there's no sense in keeping it around if you aren't able to shoot it correctly. Either change the sights and try again or sell it......
  22. I'll keep that in mind. It's definatly a snug fit for the G19....yet another reason I wanted an open bottom vs. a closed bottom when I ordered it for the G26.....it's all about versitility!!
