Nice going,Elk some of the best roasts I ever had. Lived in NM on/off 15 years and at 8 tho. feet you will be suckin wind even in the best of shape, gear and hills feels like your chest could explode. Got invited on a few early muzzleloader hunts, but could not get off work at the times required. Left early one morning for a wedding and got up half hour late and the guy ahead of me hit a full grown bull elk on I-25@ Las Vegas NM He was ok and it looked like an elephant laying there.

The best fishing here is Nov. for me,Slab Caappie and large fish of all kinds. You have to adjust from Fall fishing. Talk to the customers at bait shops and sporting good store clerks for local info.

Turkey Shoot in Lebanon Nov. 14, 15 & Dec. 5
Will replied to seez52's topic in Events and Gatherings
Have stopped at a few over the years and watched for a few minutes, never shot in one. What is needed to win so many holes in bulleseye? win at the time or wait for daily total? what are the basics? -
Have no other caliber, but would still use this. Most of the group use AR .223 72 gr and a few .308 Cal It is all about shot placement and quick follow up if needed. A proper placed shot with a .223 will kill a hog as fast as a 300 Mag.
-
And I will be sighting in both weights in future.just wondering what to expect.
-
One more question on this. At 75 yds 72 Gr VS 55 Gr Higher lower? It will be for a NC Hog Hunt 100 yds max Not bullseye match but still important.
-
Not critical.Sighted in .223 55gr 16" BBL 1/7 and next is 5.56/55gr and wondering how close group should be Something to gauge group by..
-
Wondering how much point of impact changes at say 75 yards with the same 55 gr bullet. AR 16: BBL Anyone ever compared the two?

My Recent Retail Ammo Experience (August 2020)
Will replied to TGO David's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Think its bad here, was in Knoxville Saturday and seen RK Show Ads at Expo Center, went real early and glad did as line got huge quick. Talked to locals in line and they said no ammo in Kville since March as it is big area for guns and shooting. Got in and lot of Glocks& AR's at decent prices but ammo nother story. Good selection and priced as if 10ct gold prices like I have never seen before but Men,Ladies&Teens lined up whipping out cash in long lines waiting a turn. Dude standing inside front door with a dock cart loaded with AK&9mm ammo, seen him coming back in with a fresh load every half hour or so. As leaving he was telling a buyer that it was his last case and had moved 20K rounds in over an hour. I left at one still lines at ammo tables. Reminds me of a couple of mid season duck hunts when the Mallards would swarm a just picked corn field, hit the ground running an scooping up corn like there was no more ever made. -
Nice a llittle smaller than the one Hoss Cartwright beat to death with his fists on last nights show behind a bush.

Can you use a Red Dot (Sig Romeo 5) on rifle or do you have to use a riser.

Two hundred thousand orders behind in US alone, why would they squeeze this one in now?

Waterway, Steel Shot required? Article says good eating, they were getting a lot of them in Stones River when PP Dam was letting out water and Stripers and Paddlefish were running. First time seeing them on stringers, had to ask what they were. People I talked to said they were keeping them, good eating.
-
Try contacting schuldershots.com their specialty id Intratec Parts ,if anyone would have it.

I have never used Alum or Steel Case and never would. Any of the good name brands should be fine in borh ball and hp and if any jams or suck after 200 rd break in would be a trip back to Glock, don't think you will have any. Clean after every use and lightly oil rails and wipe it all out, plenty will stay behind.

Great gun,new spring system soaks up more recoil than previous generations and good for many more rounds before replacing. Only Negative is they are a hair wider and longer and do not fit in some fitted leather holsters with thumbstraps. Indy PD had them on trial one year before FBI got them to get any bugs out. With the Match Grade Bbl they now come with some of the better shooters on Indy can hit steel plates most every shot at one hundred yards. The Gen 6 will be good for two hundred yards. (just kidding)

Is there a maxium limit? Searched TWRA Site and found no information. Always used a lever action never came up befote.

Wyze $20 Dollars. Plug it in runs off WiFi or has sd card for week or so recording or free 14 day cloud storage. Nothing else to buy or join unless you go with upper plans. I have my idoor camera shooting out night/day. They also have a dedicated outdoor camera. Quality at a fraction of price. Neighbors have a Ring and I was not impressed.
-
I have done it putting slide back on. Call Glock in Smyran Ga ask for an Armorer and a Master Armorer will walk you through it.

TWRA leases out small farms all over TN,about a week out they list them on their site by counties under Dove section. Have hunted them and normally few people there. Some are open 2-3 weekends. Talk to your local Warden, sometimes they can give you some names.

New one on me,never heard of anyone eating them. As kids we would sit on a railroad bridge and shoot them with .22 rifles swimming underneath. Always there 3' to 5' in length. Old myth about them attacking humans proven untrue on a utube vid. As far as eating on the Spring Striper run the people were keeping lots of asian carp out of the cumberland, said fantastic eating.

Glad you have good luck with them. After an hour I got a UPS Supervisor to send regs to me C&R To C&R only. main counter said to type 1 only. FedX counter said no C&R type one only and Memphis Supervisor told me same thing. FedX Regs show collector shipping available. Half a day wasted and I know FFL to FFL will ship for a fourth the price. I will never try again. The only reason I got involved was the person lived in a N E State that required it registered unless C&R and I was trying to help him out.
