  1. Dem good old boys need big trucks to haul around their sweat hog wives......................
  2. You're correct, I stand corrected. VU has won six times since 1983. Quite the accomplishment.
  3. Yes, but he would've stayed were it not for the rape arrests. He as much said it in later interviews. Vandy could've gotten close to his pay, they've got the $$$, they just don't want to spend it on their coaches. While they're the only private school in the SEC, they're well known for being in the last one or two in pay for head coaches in any sport. Tim Corbin in baseball may be the only exception, but obviously I don't know the actual numbers. I've followed VU sports since Bill Pace was the football coach. (You kids go look him up.) I went to games when they still used folding chairs right behind the sidelines. Memorial gym seats had no backs to them then either. I was also at the VERY first women's basketball game in the NCAA that was sold-out. It was so full Lee Greenwood had to have a police escort in order to get in to sing the anthem before the game. The Fire Marshall had locked the doors (not with chains, of course) due to the gym being over capacity. The game was on tv too. Lady Vols won, claiming the #1 spot afterwards. In short, I've been attending Vandy games a long, long time.
  4. Which is why I asked about the Custom Shop trigger job. With theirs the SA pull is below 3lbs, possibly even right at 2lbs? But the owner said it was only a spring swap but he didn't specify which springs were in fact replaced. While new spring would almost certainly result in a better trigger pull, I doubt it would equal the Custom Shop magic. Those are indeed, something special. I've got 4-5 of them, one of them a model they only made six of in .357Sig.
  5. Story 17 years old & performing dozens of felonies. What................... the.................... fXXX??????? Nor would it surprise me he's out on bond before the ink is dry on his booking papers. Nashville is notoriously lax on juveniles when they haven't actually killed someone, sometimes even then. Someone help me out here, is possession of a stolen gun a Fed crime or state? I can't remember.
  6. That's the trigger action when the hammer is already cocked...................................
  7. "Sometimes"? You can count the number of SEC football games won in the last 10 years on one hand. They have a history of running off their best coaches, Eddie Fogler & James Franklin being the best examples. Their administration should be hung by their thumbs, IMO. Tell me, did all those athletes who got convicted of rape read well too?
  8. Boy, you sure forgot about Vanderbilt! LOL!
  9. Does this also have the fabulous custom shop trigger job?
  10. I too have a 351C unturned & untouched. I also have its little brother, the 43C. Sometimes I ponder selling them as a pair, then I think I'll wait another year & let the value climb. Mine are the no-lock models too, for those who aren't jealous yet....................
  11. Drunks & high school kids. Besides, who doesn't like explosive diarrhea?
  12. UT got robbed in their game. Ole Miss lost their MVP QB early on & was never in the game, IMO. FL is just a car wreck right now. They had no business even showing up, IMO. No clue what happened with Miss State, I thought they were better than that?
  13. Maybe on play calling? Look at the difference in the plays in the first half versus the second. Opening drive Bama ran the ball on every play but the scoring play. Just ran it down their throats. Their RB had 151 yards rushing in the first half, Cinn had 76 TOTAL yards of offense in the first half as a TEAM. But the second half was almost a pass-first, run-second game plan. Cinn's defense was clearly worn down, that was the time to run it all night long. But Bama didn't do that for some odd reason?
  14. You can score your annual limit in one day @ Wal-Mart.......................
  15. CDC needs to spend a week or three in Chicago, Baltimore & other lovely cities.

    Snow!

SE TN only got 1-2". Trees down all over Hwy 30 around Reliance, trapping some drivers. Crews are trying to clear the hwy, so far one lane is open now. I drove from Benton to Dayton this morning at 5:30am. No issues but there was some slick going up the mountain on 111 when I went to Dunlap around 8am. It got plowed around 9am or so, making it a whole lot better. Surprising me, there was plenty of milk, bread & eggs at Wal-Mart. Lotsa beer & wine too.
  17. Ehhh, both models have distinct design differences, enough to be different. The Tundra is a full sized truck whereas the T100 was the 'tweener between the (now) Tacoma & the Tundra. (Former Toyota salesman here.)
  18. Yeah, that's not gonna happen with MY stuff. Not implying nor encouraging anything illegal, but the story can be properly tuned if one is careful. Just sayin'. Also, jury nullification is a wonderful thing. Never turn down the opportunity to serve on a jury. You never know which poor guy is getting railroaded by a crappy DA or not?
  19. Wasn't South Korea, IMO. They refine theft as a fine art, at least when I was there. But it was nickel & dime crap, nothing serious. They wouldn't spike heads for small stuff, at least not in the 1970s. North Korea, OTOH, is an entirely different train of thought.
  20. And which books exactly would those be? The ones who don't spell "chaos" correctly? Or different books?
  21. My first rule as King would be to ban the use of the OD antidote being used by EMT's & certain police. If someone is stupid enough to OD, let 'em ride that pony on outta here, IMO. Lots better people need help desperately than some drug addict, IMO.
  22. Visit such cities as SanFran, Baltimore & Chicago. See how well the criminals get "punished" these days. Were there any moral people left in those cities, I'd be extremely surprised. Crime pays very well there, it seems.
  23. Not sure why you're laughing at that. Before the meth invasion, almost everyone I know never bothered to lock their doors when they left their houses.
  24. No doubt. But I'm hoping for one in the $400ish range. I'm ok with one with "character" as I'm gonna shoot the thing.
