I'm in the TFA & closely tuned into Nashville's best gun shop. Never heard a whiff of what the OP is asking about. The only thing that could even possibly be along these lines is the Glock Store in Nashville. There's a lot of 80% Glock frames being sold, so this may or may not affect them at all. I certainly don't want to start a rumor that it was them doing it because I certainly don't know. But it sure as heck isn't Beretta nor Barrett. I agree it's a BS rumor. Heat tapes draw very, very little wattage. I doubt a generator would be able to tell if they were even on, IMO.

That surprises me. I've never had a FN gun that wasn't accurate. I too have a FNX-9 & it rivals my H&K USP's for accuracy. That's the highest compliment I can give a pistol, IMO. If FN would get off their butt & do some better marketing, people would discover how well built they are. They're an excellent buy for the price, IMO.

I wonder if the interstate didn't just get overloaded? A small crash on the front end would be easy to back it up for 10+ miles. Heck, I've seen that on I-24 around Chatt. Not to mention, how many vehicles had their drivers leave them & walk to an exit? Can't move a locked car easily. Tow it, sure, but aside from that, it'd be hard to move. This thing was just a cluster screwing from the git go.

I remember a good snow in the early 1990s. Mid State didn't get as much as East TN, for some odd reason. East TN got close to a foot. I think the Mid State got around 5-6"? Even Atlanta got 3-4" of snow, almost unheard of for them.
