Is Gun Broker not an option here?
-
Another vote for the Beretta 686 series. Just find the one you can't afford & buy it anyway. LOL! My O&U is a 20ga CZ. Love that thing & it cost about 1/2 of the Beretta. Of course, it won't bring 1/2 the Beretta on resale either but I have no plans on letting it go. Franchi is another brand that is better quality than its price level, IMO. My .o2

As well as his lawyer, IMO. A first year law student should've been able to have that thrown out of court, IMO.

The key word there is "fake". Fake cans CANNOT reduce sound signature, end of story. Fake cans should also not be confused with these so-called "solvent trap" oil filters. As already shown, the fake can on the USG MP22 makes the gun look much better, IMO. It adds little to the weight as it's aluminum & adds nothing to sound reduction. It does help protect the barrel from getting bent or dinged as well. Nice design, IMO.

Didn't say a D-coordinator wouldn't make a good HC, they said it EASIER for an O-coordinator to do so. Then what happens when your O-coordinator gets hired away as a HC? Now you have to begin all over again with the HC outside looking in on the offensive scheme. As for A&M, I doubt Bama gives a fat, furry rat's ass if the game is at home or away. They just went to the Swamp & won, arguably one of the toughest places to play in the SEC on the road. Was the A&M/Arkansas game at A&M or Arkansas?

This. Set a tub of an open container of margarine outside. There won't be a single fly to land on it.

Either catch him doing something dirty like John Ford & Ray Blanton or wait for him to turn senile like John Wilder. Some say the Lt Gov position wields more power via the legislature than the Gov does. I don't know I can argue against that, IMO.

The Gun Crew in Old Hickory normally has them in stock. I've held one there. The gun is somewhat clunky due to the 50rd mag & gun size requirements to make it fit. It opens with a clamshell action, which is not my fav. But they sell every single one they bring in, so there's a demand for them. Retail is around $1100-1200. I have a Kel-Tec PMR & CMR-30, so I like the brand. While no where near as refined as a H&K, they certainly think outside of the box. Their KSG shotgun was a game changer as well.

Right now Canik is #1 in the best bang for the buck, IMO. They may or may not be as accurate as a CZ (I haven't shot a Canik yet), but the quality is certainly there. I'd take one over a Glock eight days a week.

I had the honor of fingerbanging a Clark Custom revolver at a SHOT Show one year. (Might've been a NRA Convention, don't remember.) I just happened to see their name on their booth & made a beeline to it. I was bragging about Jim Clark, Sr & his contributions to the custom 1911 world to my buddy. Their rep listened to me for a few minutes & then said, "Look at this." He pulls out a S&W similar in the OP & hands it to me. The trigger felt like it was about 3lbs in DA. WOW! SA felt less than one pound! Yes, this was NOT a carry gun but a competition piece. I could barely give it back to him. When I hit that $500mil+ Powerball tonight, I'm going to have a couple of Clark Customs in my new safe.

Then please allow me..................... By & large, there's only a few areas the "custom" Glocks can be significantly changed, IMO. 1) Slide lightening cuts. Highly noticeable due to the sections being cut out of the slide. This (supposedly) speeds up the slide speed, making for a wee bit faster time between shots. 2) Barrel replacement. Often a "match grade" barrel but sometimes just a "normal" barrel that allows lead bullets to be used. (Both Glock & H&K use rifling that does NOT like lead bullets.) 3) Better trigger. A Glock's trigger feel is what's always turned me off from a Glock. I've dry fired all sorts of "improved" Glock triggers in my day & none of them floated my boat. Obviously a trigger feel is subjective to an individual's preference & taste(s). Now some "custom" Glocks do things like stippling a frame grip, shave off some of the frame below the trigger guard & so forth. Some add a mag well. For me, custom work on a Glock should do at least one thing, preferably two: make it more accurate & improve the trigger. Everything else is going to be cosmetic or just adding shiny objects. Aside from 43X model you mention specifically, *I* would instead look at some of the newer makers of striker fired guns. Canik, Zev, Arsenal, Shadow Systems are all brands that seem to be better designed & better built than a Glock. Again, it has to be sized the same for comparison & none of them make a 43X-style pistol. But it may give you some sort of baseline to compare someone's "custom" work with, IMO. My .o2

Haven't read the article yet but it would be interesting to list the guns from famous/infamous people & how much they last got sold for. I remember when the only civilian model of a Luger in .45acp that was used in the 1910 pistol trials was sold. It went for a cool $1mil & yes, the buyer not only shot it, he allowed the American Handgunner writer to shoot it as well. The Luger buyer owned over 10,000 Lugers in his private collection, so he had $$$$. I would think the guns used to kill MLK, RFK & John Lennon would sell for a high amount. Certainly not the $6mil level though.

Too-Too is an athlete & is not fundamentally as sound as he should be. He gets by on speed, IOW. He'll never play a down in the NFL, IMO. Funny you think A&M may beat Bama but not Arkansas, who just beat (guess who?) A&M. Heupel wasn't exactly a name that rolled off of everyone's tongue when he got hired. Hell, I had never even heard of him prior to his hiring. It's not ego that requires a "name" coach to be hired as it's more towards recruiting, IMO. When a school has a period of low success & high coaching turnover, a hot shot recruit has to hang his hat on something. A coach's name is sometimes all a school can offer. Someone once said when a coaching disaster gets fired, it now takes 5-6 years to recover. UT has now had SIX coaches get relieved or whom have quit (Kiffen). So now it will take UT 5-6-7 years to get back to being a Top 10 team, IMO. Problem is, the fans & boosters probably won't want to wait that long. After 3-4 years of 6-5 records & Music City Bowls, they're ready for the Next Big Coming in coaching. I personally believe Heupel can & will make UT a Top Ten team again. It won't be quick nor easy. But all the experts say a SEC HC simply HAS to have a background as an O-coordinator to survive. Heupel has that in spades, so he should be able to fix anything that rears its ugly head on that side of the ball. Not to mention, scoring a ####load of points can keep one in a game they have no business in either, IMO. My .o2

Every school goes through cycles. Bama fans conveniently forget the DuBose, Shula, Bill Curry, Mike Price, etc years of Bama coaches. Aside from Gene Stallings' couple of years & the arrival of Saban, Bama was lucky to beat Vandy. Hell, Saban's first year included a loss to the powerhouse UL-Monroe. LOL!!!! When Saban retires, it will once again revert back to mediocrity for a period of time. Auburn didn't do squat between Jordan & Pat Dye. Only had sparks between Dye & now, Cam Newton's Heisman year. Florida couldn't beat school of the blind prior to Spurrior arriving. Galen Hall had a couple of good years but he got Florida on probation & their wins forfeited. LSU had a long drought after Charles McClendon retired. All of them underachieved prior to Saban arriving. Oregeron lucked out with a transfer QB in Burrow & rode his arm to a NC. They're back to normal now. After Frank Broyles retired, Lou Holtz had five years before he too bolted. Houston Nutt had some good years before they too settled back to mostly average. (At one time, Broyles had as assistants Johnny Majors, Jimmy Johnson & Doug Dickey. All went on to head coaching success, two won NC's.) GA had many years of average teams after Vince Dooley retired. Only until Kirby Smart arrived have they regained national prominence. Ole Miss has had a revolving door since Johnny Vaught retired in 1973. Lane Kiffen will leave as soon as someone bigger offers him a job, IMO. Miss State has never had a top tier year. Their longest coach was Dan Mullen, who left them for Florida. He was there 8 years. Vandy & KY are both basketball schools & haven't fielded good teams since WW2. SC, A&M & MO are all too new to the SEC to recount their history. One thing about getting old is you can recall when something or someone used to stink up the joint.
-
Oh, lord NO! Memphis has all the class of a fart in an elevator.
-
Vandy isn't going anywhere. They give other teams a "W" & Vandy gets a split of the bowl money without the expenses, never mind the tv contract money. They compete in everything except football. Baseball has won a National Championship & they played in the finals just this past year. Mens & womens basketball are down now but they've had good teams in the past. The women have a new UConn alum as the head coach, so I expect things to get better immediately there. It takes an exceptional coach to win in Vandy football. James Franklin is living proof of that. I recall a few of his comments as he departed for Pedo State. He was less than happy with the administration there. I've heard some say the snobs in academia would be thrilled if Vandy dropped sports all together. That's why they won't waive some admissions for athletes.

Yeah, UT just doesn't have the talent level to run with the Big Boys in the SEC. I counted 4-5 dropped passes in the game last night. Just awful. Roughing the receiver on the punt fair catch was a super stupid play too. But I like the coach, I think he'll be ok with an upgrade in talent. How about them Commodores? LOL! 64-0! 35-0 in the first quarter! Reminds me of the days when Watson Brown was coaching, his last couple of years & their blow outs. I think some of the upper tier private high schools could beat Vandy this year. GA Southern damn near knocked off Auburn. Replay officials robbed GA Southern on a reception review, calling it complete for Auburn. For those who don't know, long time GA assistant under Vince Dooley, Erk Russell, started the GA Southern program way back when. They often put my school (MTSU) out of the playoffs & gave larger schools a run for their money when they dared to play GS. What about Arkansas? Beating both A&M & Texas this year, now going 4-0. Those guys have got to be killing the Vegas boys. LOL! The GA-Florida game looks to be a spicy game if Florida wins out up to then. I will be SO happy when someone beats the hell out of Norte Dame!

UT-Florida game week. Once again, a big gap in talent on UT's side, sadly. Hopefully Florida will have some sort of Bama hangover but I'm not holding my breath on that. The A&M-Arkansas game might be THE most intriguing this weekend, IMO. I doubt anyone could've seen the huge improvement in Arkansas that we've seen so far this year. I don't know that I would call an Arkansas win over A&M an upset this year? Eddie George won his first game as TSU's HC last week. Of course, it came against a Div II team, KY State. Be interesting to see how he improves the TSU team over the next 3-4 years. I can't see him bringing too many talented players there, the facilities are just horrible. High schools have better facilities than TSU does.

This. Also, the ACLU will file a lawsuit about using the word God in 5.......... 4.................. 3..............

Hate to break it to ya, but add-ons never add to the value unless it's something such as name brand night sights. Rails, iron sights, etc don't add to the value on a used gun, long or short. Most guys I know will strip a gun down to factory spec & then sell the gee gaws separately. May or may not be an option for you? The Memphis or Jackson gun shows may be another option for you as well?
-
Fixed it.................... OP, there's generally 2-3 reasons when there's no response to an ad, IMO. 1) Odd or eclectic item. A Kel-Tec shotgun falls into both categories, IMO. These have been on the market for a while & the novelty has worn off. 2) Price. As mentioned, when one can buy new for the price of a used one, why buy used? 3) Personally, *I* have no issue with a bill of sale. Some folks require a carry permit in lieu of a bill of sale. Some (like me) don't give a rat's ass either way. Some would never think of buying or selling to a stranger. Everyone has their own thoughts on this process, so don't take it personal. When pricing an item, look first on Gun Broker on completed auctions. This will give you an idea of current market value of an item. Make sure the ones you're comparing to are used, so apples to apples. Generally speaking, a used item values around 75% of its new price. There'll be some exceptions, of course, there always are. But figure on taking a 25% hit if you bought it new. My .o2

As the poster says, Benton Show Barn & Fairgrounds. Hwy 411 in lovely downtown Benton. Right next to the rescue station, right across the street from the Dollar General store.
-
Ehhh, there's spots. But none of those spots are inside someone's city limits though.
-
Then Hwy 41 to Chatt or Hwy 64 all the way in to Polk Co would be good rides, IMO. Anything BUT I-24, IOW. LOL!
