  1. The one that always sticks out the most to be is REI. They spent two years building an exceptionally nice brand new office complex, then the pandemic hit before they could move in. Their experience with having their employees work from home was so positive that they never moved into the building and instead put it up for sale.
  2. Maybe he wasn’t all bad after all.
  3. Yeah, that timeline was off to me as well. 3-5 years seems more accurate to me.
  4. Much like what I’m expecting.
  5. https://www.wmcactionnews5.com/2021/05/12/engineering-expert-explains-i-bridge-crack/ "Abdelnaby says if the damage is confined to just this one crack, maybe a couple of weeks, but if it’s more extensive, they may have to replace the entire bridge. Replacing the bridge could take up to a year."
  6. No, but at the same time she would’ve been fine if the call had been a car accident or someone getting shot or robbed or whatever. I’ll be a little bit forgiving because I don’t think any dispatcher is prepared for a call that says “the new bridge is broke and you need to stop traffic before it falls into the river.“
  7. Also in light of my last post, before anyone blames me for breaking it.
  8. I don’t see what the issue is. The cotter pin isn’t a load bearing item. The giant bolt it’s attached to is the one bearing it. The cotter pins on either side are simply there to keep the big pin from rattling out when I drive across the New Bridge weighing 80k lbs at speeds exceeding the posted limit.
  9. I think that holds a suspension cable. Here is the recording of the 911 call that was made by the inspection crew to the Memphis side. https://twitter.com/Ripple1026/status/1392576653449170955?s=20
  10. I guarantee that there’s a crackhead in Orange Mound with a stolen tig welder who could have sorted for $50 in about an hour as long as we don’t pay too close attention to osha rules while he works.
  11. Here’s my question, what’s the next step in this equation? Seriously.
  12. Just the two in Memphis. The one I referenced is between Missouri and Tennessee. And then there’s another one of wee bit south between Arkansas and Mississippi that isn’t too big of a detour. Now, if you were just needing to go from Memphis to West Memphis, your hosed. My routes go over much longer distances so I can start gradual shifts north or south and only add a small amount of miles to my trip to route around Memphis.
  13. It’ll be worth it to me to route all the way up to the Dyersburg/Caruthersville bridge over the Mississippi.
  14. Yeah, with no loopholes this time.
  15. I’m not sure where in West TN you are, but I think the TWRA range at Natchez Trace State Park would suit your needs. Here is the link to the TWRA page that lists all of their ranges.

  17. https://thebulletin.org/2021/05/the-origin-of-covid-did-people-or-nature-open-pandoras-box-at-wuhan/ We should not be funding, and should very likely ban function gain testing.
