1. Too much logic and common sense to be understood by the media and the masses. You are most certainly right, but getting that out, and understood, by the average uninformed person in the street is next to impossible.
2. I had the opportunity to see his demonstrations live at two different events. He was amazing. Rest in Peace,Sir.
3. Saw the thread on the use of humidifiers fo rhealth(?) reasons. Anyone use a de-humidifier in their garages or gun rooms? I have a rather cool and humid garage; and thinking of a dehumidifier to counteract some of the effects. I'd like to use the garage for safer storage. For one thing, I have a lot of books that don't hold up well out there. And thinking of insulating a small room in it to place safes and ammo cabinets. Any comments or ideas?
4. Met the man several times. Real interesting man.
5.
I very, very rarely get a telemarketer calling my cell number. I had the same number for 6 years, and its been posted online, on applications, and several other places, and I only get one call about every 6 months. They seem to focus on land lines more than cells with telemarketing calls. The only calls I get on my cell are friends and family, and the occasional business I have given it to that has permission to call me.
That's great, but I do suspect that cell numbers are gotten from the same sources as our home phone numbers. That is, from lists sold by just about any business that seeks to get a little extra revenue from their datta records. Just my suspicions.
6. Don't think that having a cell phone only will stop telemarketing calls. Somehow or another, these pesky critters got my cell number. Don't get many, but it does ocassionaly happen. And the "do not call" services aren't absolutely perfect either.
7. X-5 for an MSAR? Let me think about this. It could happen.
8.
where is the Rabbi?
Rabbi, aka Bill, is alive and well at his gun shop in East Nashville. Still sharply sarcastic and witty. I try to stop in pretty often and get a dosage of harrasment from the grouchy old fart. Even occassionally buy something from him as well. As for Strel...I think he .
9. Slick.
10. Wow. Some very interesting responses. I recieved the email this morning and didn't know about it or it's source. I posted looking for information from the more imformed guys here.

12. A friend sent me this today. Not trying to start a panic, just wondering if anyone has info on this? Crap. Link didn't come thru.
13. I'm about midway between the fairgrounds and H'ville shows. But like you, broox, I do prefer go to hendersonville. Gives me an excuse to visit G&L, as well as do my Sam's run. Nothing better than combining trips these days. You know, save time, money and gas. Gives more of all three for guns.

Well

Sorry for loss. But congratulations on the replacement. Look forward to yout opinions.
15. LWRC looks awesome. Got a local dealer wanting me to trade in some ars and buy one. I'm thinking about it. Comments on the LWRC? And the buttstock is great. Thinking about those as well on the Colt and Sabre,
16.
I also really dig Sig's, I have a P226R DAK that is a phenominal shooting gun, the trigger group on it is the smoothest, most consistant trigger I've ever felt on a semi-auto, H&K's LEM trigger groups come close but the DAK edges them out in my opinion. The Combat Commanders suffer from the same problem as the Officer ACP's do, with both models being solid stainless steel they are both a bit heavy to lug around all day, but that extra weight does make them both very sweet shooters, much less felt recoil than the alloy-framed light weight Commanders or these Colt New Agent's. But the older I get the lighter and smaller I want my carry guns to be, these Colt New Agent's might be just the ticket, I am going to have to go fondle one at the local fun store now!
Ditto to all comments. Except that older crack..ridicilous coming from someone your age. I was there once, long ago.
17.
Yea I really didn't want to get rid of it, I absolutely loved that little Colt, but the fellow just kept adding and adding and adding to his trade offer until I would have been stupid to have said "thanks, but no thanks". I do still have it's matching big brother though, a Colt Combat Commander, but it doesn't look quite the same in the case all by itself now, I had really hoped to haved eventiually passed them down as a paired set to my oldest son but like I said, I just couldn't pass up that guy's overly generous offer.
I understand. Wouldn't mind the Combat Commander, but got too many other wants to take care of first. All joking aside, I like the O model, but it's not the best 1911 I've ever had. I'd really be hard pressed to pick only one. But I am partial to sigs these days.
18. Yeah, "Z" was my first current zombie book to read and I liked it. Trailer looks to fastpaced, more like the 28 DAys/Weeks Later. Still could be very good, but I'm anold fashioned type who like movies to be like the book the are based on. Not just using the title. And yeah, saw the wall climbing scene and immediately thought of Starship Troopers as well. Makes me want to reread Heinlein again.
19. Twinkies, Ding Dongs, Ho Ho's, and Suzy Q's on e-bay. Some reasonable. Most totally outrageous. There's always someone out to rape people on products.
20. Some interesting names in there. I've always been a Clapton fan, now more so. A few surprises as well...Brad and Angelina. Would not have thought it.
21. Congrats on the choice. But be warned....Glocks multiply in the night. You may only have one now, but soon there will be more. I think Glocks are asexual.
22.
Hostess has nothing to match the Oatmeal Creme Pie or Swiss Roll.
That is true. But I will miss the Chocolate Ding Dongs, mush more than the twinkie. I do seem to have a chocolate fetish. I've even consumed a few Chocolate Snoballs. Ther're much tastier than the pink ones.
23. Dang!! That's a serious case of pasty white. I had to look for several seconds to find her.
24. My sympathies. I always wanted a moutain or at least a hillside home. The view. The privacy and solitude. Looking down on all the little people.
25.
I haven't either. I'm more of a HoHo and Ding Dong man, lol.
I have probably eaten more than my fair share of Ding Dongs....wait that doesn't sound right.
