1.
I've never in my life eaten a Twinkie. Not one. I feel partly responsible.
What are you!!??? Some kinda perverted health nut???
 2. Congratulations on your first 1911. Some may poo-poo your choice, but don't take it too seriously. The Taurus 1911 is a good shooter, with the potential in the right hands, to be really good. Maybe not great; but for a stock, out of the box...it's pretty good. I've had 2 so far, a highgloss blue and a stainless. Sold the blue to get the stainless. Also have a pretty little one in .38Super and it is great. And I'm not one who says Taurus is the best or the worst. There's good and bad in all. Just to confuse the issue, I've also got some other makes, and had even more. Some I like and have kept. Others have left me.My current fav has got to be the Sig 1911 though. SWEET!! Have a C3 and a TacOps and won't, barring major problems, be leting them go.
 3. Haven't shot enough of the M&P guns yet to totally agree with you Ishel, but I'm close. The inhand feel of the M&Ps I've shot so far are outstanding, especially the 9c, for me anyway. And I really like the Shield, but I'd sure like to try the Shield and the 9c at one shooting, before getting the Shield. I'm on NA's waiting list and if one becomes available before I get the comparison opportunity, I'll probably buy it anyway. But reading as much as I could stand on the S&W Forum, seems that it's real close in favoring 9c over the Shield. The full size feels better to me than the full size glocks, but I'll reserve judgement til I can run them side by side. In any event, I like the M&P line enough that I'm trying to get a few extra mags for them. Can't really go wrong with that.
 4.
My parents always said that I have selective hearing. I can just use that to tune out the gun shots and I'll be fine right?
Oh how I wish that would work!
 5.
I laugh so I won't cry.
Ditto.
 6.
Sean Connery used to be my favorite, but Daniel Craig tops the list for me, now. I'll wait for the pausable version to get out. Thanks for the warning, Raoul. I've seen them all and they all were good movies, but Craig as Bond just seems to fit what I remember of the books.
I agree with 6.8, Craig is much closer to the orginal Ian Fleming Bond character. Rougher and little more gruff and unsophisticated. I still prefer Connery, then Brosnan. Moore left me wanting to find something else to watch.
 7. If you're in the market for mags for your M&P9...check Midway this morning. 17 rounder--29.99 + s&h. But they are limiting to 2 per customer order. Must be good site control, I tried to order a second time and it wouldn't let me reorder.
 8.
I've never considered it an "either/or" proposition; most especially on a handgun being used for home defense, and especially night-time home defense purposed. There are times when either night sights or a weapon mounted light might be better so why limit yourself. If money is an issue, I would get the night sights first and have a good flashlight by the bedside...then get a weapon mounted light and even with a weapon mounted light I still have a tactical handheld flashlight to use with.
That's my choice as well. Am in process of changing my house gun to a G21 with rail light. Have nite sights on my carry and house guns. Not that imortant on range guns, but I won't bypass one with them either.
 9.
He's fighting for what he believes is right. Isn't that what we've been taught to do? It's understandable that it gets annoying when people don't shut up about things. A carbon tax for big industries is probably a good thing in the end.
You honestly believe that a carbon tax on industry, in a nation fueled by hydrocarbon products, is the awnser? Well...that's your opinion, not mine. No, I'm not aginst alternate fuel sources. I just don't see that taxing current industry in this manner is the awnser. Government intervention in the field has worked so well so far hasn't it? Re: the Obama Solar Power company debacle.

 11. When I drove a tractor, way back in my younger days; I sure would've liked to have had one like that.
 12. I loved it! Thanks Mikey.
 13. Well...I guess Wounded Warrior Project is off my charity list and The Fisher House is taking it's place. I guess you all get may requests for donations; just as I do. I get 5 or 6 a week sometimes. And it's difficult sometimes to make a yes/no decision on them. But with the percentage going to operational salaries at WWP vs the amount going to helpful projects.. .this is an easy one.
 14. http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/lXKDu6cdXLI?rel=0 My wife sent this to me from work. Nothing outrageous. Just kinda neat.
 15. 26 of 100. Meh.
 16. I see you didn't waste any time. I look forward to seeing how it comes out. With Nathan's help, it should be an awesome rifle.
 17. Looking thru Armslist and saw a thread thatt really caught my attention. Someone wants a 9mm Sub 2000 and offers this as a partial trade. Lookin for a sub 2000 9mm. I have a 9mm high point like new that i will trade with boot cause the kel tec is worth more. Any takers?
 18.
I was going to, but after the election I figure everything will be priced to high.
I don't see things going lower.
 19. Thanks FIST. Well stated comments.
 20. You got rid of an "O" Model???? For shame.
 21.
Those thoughts are totally normal. They will continue to persist until you break down and buy one. They don't stop there though, they just change from "buy one, buy one" to " buy one more, buy one more". Of course by this time you are hopelessly addicted and Betty Ford couldn't get you to stop. The good news is as rifles go they're easy enough on the budget that you may still live a long life with some semblance of quality to it.
Sounds like the 1911itis and ARitis symptons to me.
 22.
buy an AK, you won't regret it.
Yes. Love mine. Got it in a trade and won't let go of it. Looking for more low cost ammo for it always.
 23.
Or save up the $100 or so bucks and keep your crappiest gun. I mean seriously $100 for a good shooting gun! That's insane. What's even more insane is not owning one.
I'm beginning to have impure thoughts about these rifles. I passed by one the other day and I swear I heard it suggest going home with me to get better acquainted.
 24. You know, the sad thing is I bought this from a co-worker who hated guns. He found it in an old trunk and wanted 50 bucks for it. I offered 30 and got it.It looked pretty good and shot real well for a couple 100 rounds. Then just sorta fell apart one afternoon. Cyclinder sorta hung up between shots and that was the end. I took it to Jeff Walle at G&L and he informed me that I would be better off throwing in the nearest trash can. Cheap potmetal construction and very few parts available for the little cutie. So I knocked out the firing pin and put it in a shadow box for my wife to display with her western stuff.
 25.
I think this is a "shiny object" designed to gather attention while they stick it to us in other places
Quite possibly.
