  1. After reading your post today, my humble recomendation is to follow the doc's advice. 1- the cyst don't need to be there, and yes can be a precusor to prostate cancer. 2-it's causing you spain, sporadic or otherwise, not a location I want to be having pains in. 3-see a urologist at the least, maybe you'll get lucky and get a female one. That can be a little tricky though. He or she can determine if a visit to an oncologist is in order, maybe even schedule a biopsy if you haven't already had one. I can tell you truly that the fear and worry is worse than the knowing. The waiting for my blood and biopsy results were almost as bad as some of the treatments themselves. But that's from my story and it doesn't sound like that right now you've got a lot to worry about. Maybe just a little embarassement, discomfort, and a few days of pain should surgery be the course of action. But in any event, I'll send a few words up for you in my nightly prayers.
  2. As you should be. Making lite of Meatloaf Aday and Jim Steinman. Just one of the best singer/writer duos of the last 50 years. And if you can't pace your cardio to Bat Outa Hell, you must be dead.
  3. I don't hate Berettas, and that is a beautiful example of the guns. But as the OP knows from past contact, they just don't fit me. But...I still have a Desert Storm Commemorative and a 92/96 Combo that are NIB that I find it hard to part with.
  4. As one of the resident old farts here, I'll confess that I preferred the old format as well. I fully understand time and tech changes all things and I must somehow adapt to all of it, but just saying....
  5. I agree, looks pretty good. Maybe another glove box knive in the works.
  6. Workout?? Not so much unfortunately, but gotta throw in my choice....Meatloaf!!!
  7. My personal opinion, with any kind of reasonable precautions and storage; I don't think ammo will go bad. I just recently shot the last milsurp 45acp that my Dad bought in the early 60s. Figuring 1965 as aqusition date, conservatively at that, it was 47 years old+. Dad always said the milsurp he had was Korean War vintage. Felt like any 230 45I've shot at any time, and not issues at all. Also have shot some of his 38/45 target reloads from that era without problems. The ammo was stacked on his old reloading bench in the garage, where it had been as long as I can remember in orginal paper boxes, and some, not all, of the reloads were in the typical plastic boxes used in the 60s. No other special precautions were used. But I do keep my ammo in factory boxes and containers until use. These I have stored in a Hazmat cabinet at the moment, and plan on putting heavy duty shelving in an old StackOn brand safe I have for more secure storage.
  8. Great advice. Can't hurt to try. No manufacturer likes to see their product talked about in a negative fashion on a form that can cover as much territory as this one does.
  9. I say we let him back. He wasn't too bad. A little young and green perhaps, but look at the current crop of noobs.....
  10. OK. for the dummy...what is trigger slap?
  11. Consider it a rite of passage. Sort of like getting your first car, first kiss, first....well you get the idea.
  12. Wise decision. Been thinking about a pistol caliber lever action gun. Did you get it in the Franklin area?
  13. You need to join GBA--Gun Buyers Anonomous. You can be helped...not cured, but helped. We meet daily. Right here.
  14. As has already been asked, what is it? Whether or not you buy or pass it up should depend an a number of things. Among them...make and age, and the vibe you get from the seller. Does it feel or seem like something is wrong? No serial number in and of itself shouldn't deter you from buying.
  15. Been too long ago for me to remember the wait for the ccp, but I can most definitely tell you how long on the NFA stamp...6 months and 12 days.
  16. I doubt it was a very "secret" place to begin with. Seems like many of us have thought of, and used that idea before. Not to mention all the Hollywood movie and tv examples of that area for hideout/storage. BTW, I considered it as well, just not enough space for me.
  17. Yeah, they'd be swamped, but 90%+ would be mall ninjas and teenagers wanting to hold all the guns. The rest of us would have a hard time getting in.

    Truck A/C

Coming from Strickj. that sounds disturbing...
  19. Yes, and fondle it as well.. Is that wrong?
  20. Very nice. I know just enough about the AK to get myself in trouble, but I like it.
  21. From one BS'er to another, Thanks. Probably came across to hard, but that's the fallibility of the printed word; expression is terribly limited to the printed format and doesn't allow for observation and inflection of a conversation.

    My Toy Box

Very nice collection. How's the PPQ? Been toying with the idea of getting one, but heavily invested in Ruger 22 guns at the moment.
  23. Most politicans cause diarrhea. It must be so, because thay all suffer from diarhea of the mouth.
  24. With respect...I disagree. Just because I choose to use a little humor to illustrate a point, doesn't give you the insight to assert a diagnosis on a person you don't know. But that's my opinion.
