  1. I lookws at the Saiga at Bills for a while, then the Beretta 1201...then waited too long on both. I gotta start being more impusive in my buying.
  2. Dang!!!! That's worse than the Kentucky Conan pic.
  3. Same feelings about the phrasing. I also voted.
  4. Yeah Baby!!!
  5. Happy Valentines Day, honey. I got you flowers and a new Springfield 1911.!
  6. sorry, I missed that. Feel free to delete or close.
  7. How about some comments on the Goodman Show at the Fairgrounds and the Franklin Show at the Ag Center. Anybody go? How was it? Worth going to either one? Thanks, I appreciate any feedback.
  8. SWEEEET!!! Foolish thought. If you ever decide to let it go....
  9. Detonics--man I haven't thought about those in quite a while. Always wanted one when they were featured in Jerry Ahern's Survivalist series of books, but I couldn't afford them back then. Don't think I've seen one in years.
  10. I agree. He seems to have the typical " I know better than you and you don't need this because I don't like it" attitude.
  11. CZ Rami or a good hipower pistol.
  12. That's great. Gotta tell my father-in-law that one.
  13. Ditto. I fully agree. Penetration for me. Small hollow-points can be a problem for feed in the gun as well as not too great as a stopping round. Even light clothing fibers can clog the hp. I like a good hot load FMJ in my LCP, and I used them in my Keltec as well.
  14. Early 80's. A West German Police trade-in--HK4. A multi-caliber small auto pistol. Wouldn'tmind having another to try again with. I really wasn't too pleased with it then.
  15. For all the previous reasons, I vote for the Goodman (and I can't believe I'm recommending Goodman's shows) show at the fairgrounds. Another show in Murfreesboro already? Hasn't it just been two weeks? Is it the RK show?

    Holster Art

    Very wise thinking, young man.

    Holster Art

As you say, a little flashy with the red devil, but nice work. The next one looks more to my taste, especially with the 45 behind it. BTW, what is it? Looks good.
  18. Hate to admit it, but I've not been a fan of fwd. Just a diehard rwd fan. However the wife's '09 Impala did great in the snow and ice last night. Eleven miles from the Vanderbuit area to home and only took 2 hours and 50 minutes. But we left just before the massive parking lot closed on 21st. It only took 45 minutes to get to 16th and Charlotte, but from there to home was awful. The worst time we had was going around the high-riding big-wheel older cars that were spinning and slipping sideways. It was almost fun watching an older 87/88 Monte Carlo try to power up the gentle grades on Dickerson Road. And an early 90's Crown Vic with 22's sitting and smoking tires trying not to sideslide into other cars in the same area. I may look a little harder now at some of the newer crossover styles with fwd.

    RUGER LC9

Crap! Now another ruger to add to the list and safe. SR9sc, LCR, LCP, now LC9. When will it end?
  20. I'll echo the good comments on the Stoger/Beretta Cougar platform. I owned a Beretta Cougar in 45 and it was great. One of my friends shot it and had a fit over it, so I sold it to him last year to finance another pistol. Now I'm thinking of getting another. Just can't decide on what caliber to get.
  21. I know what you mean, I sold mine a couple weeks back and am already looking for another.
  22. But they keep leaving California and bringing their insanity with them.
  23. Nice looking and a very good buy to boot.
  24. And that's worth a big cheer all by itself.
  25. I'll probably give it a try. I tell myself I'm going looking for a new range bag, but I never seem to find what I want and end up buying something else...new 45 grips, ammo, and even a new pistol last week at the Shrine Hall. Hmmm, on second thought maybe I won't go. It would probably just be cheaper to order a bag online and forget it.
