But...I'll go out on a limb here and add one more comment; how about the fun factor--the enjoyment derived from the board and it's membership. I orginally came here to learn a little, meet some good people, and generally have a pleasant time. Being educated and gathering information is a wonderful thing...but don't take all the pleasure out.

I fully understand your comment. The 1911/9mm is a very fun gun to shoot and usually quite accurate. But a buddy of mine is having a custom 1911 frame for 38Super built. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Finished up last weekend. Mostly because my wife did 90% of it already.

They are every bit as addictive as the 1911 bug. Be very cautious. I said I'd never own one. Then I acquired a G22 in a trade. That led to a G30. Now a G19. What's next? My Springfields are getting jealous.

Everyone nows Sigs are indestrutible. Whatever form of abuse did you subject this fine weapon to in order to damage it in such a fashion? Said in complete jest...They're fine guns. I've owned several. And the gun I most regret selling was a bi-tone P220 that a friend talked me out of.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I'm trying to find the same type as my old one; but it seems to be out of style. It wasn't anything fancy, just comfortable for me.

Acquired a new gen 3 G19 recently. Added Truglo sights, extended mag release and takedown lever. I'm content for now...Except now I want to work on my G30.

Don't worry about the age of a thread, I've done the same thing several times and don't really care. Neither should you. If it looks interesting to you and you have a comment, or if its just good information or even just fun...jump right in. For whatever its worth, recently picked up one utilizing 9mm Beretta mags. Haven't taken it to the range yet, so I'll have to let you know the results later. And no, I don't have pictures, I can just barely use this forum, let alone a camera and transfering pictures.

I have a long history of being overly anal about keeping boxes from my diecast purchases and other things, so I can understand your dilemma. Personally, I am blessed to have an attached garage that can't, because of some land issues, be used for vehicles. So I have built cabinets and wall storage to house all my crap...uh, make that important stuff. And yes, I do try to keep all boxes for my gunsin the unlikely event I do sell one.
